Girls I have a question for you...

Today I was feeling all mushy and missing my sister so I sent her some flowers. She did say thank you, by text message. Is it just me or is that kinda rude?

you better get to crocheting if you are going to make some for me too. I bet it would take at least 50 skeins of yarn.

I don't send thank you cards any more......haven't had any stamps in my house for ages. I also thank by text or Fb or call, it's instantaneous. I want them to know right away that they are appreciated.

Texting has taken the place of talking on the phone for many. I'm not one who likes talking on the phone but I do when needed. A phone call would have been really nice from your sister but like most in this day and age she most likely thinks that it is just as good if not better than calling I guess.
Anyway....that was a really sweet thing to do Lony and I sure hope she appreciates the sweet sister she has!!!!

Lony, OMG. I think you are getting to be as bad as my son. Now he tells me the trainer thinks he may have done something to the rotator in his left shoulder.I just paid the $211 for the xray from his wrist in January..... is this the same ankle/foot you have injured a couple of times? Or was it your knee, now that I think about it more?Purple already? Wow, well, I hope it heals quickly. Is it hurting a lot? Can you walk on it? Have you been icing it?

Deb, feeling any better? How bout Steven? Did you all eat the same thing? Not food poisoning is it?

It might be because I am old and not really that tech savvy, but I would have called you if you sent me flowers. Just sayin'. You know for future reference and stuff.

OK MOM! LOL I have it up and I have been icing it every half hour. I can hobble on it so it is ok. The knee is slightly swollen but nothing to worry about. I have to get it better by Wednesday!

He is not a very good nurse. He was a part time medic in nam so most of the time he says, thats nothing and proceeds to tell me some gory story.

BTW, looks like you have lost a few lbs. Are your stats up to date? Do you have some good lc meals planned for when Mike comes home so you don't lose the progress you have made? Oh, and are you going to go to Cheyenne?

if you have a Best Buy they have a recycle program for old TV's (well a lot of them do you can check their site to see). the larger tv's I think they ask for $25 but they give it right back to you in store credit. I shop there a lot (i'm a techie) so to me it's very worth it (especially to just get rid of the tv by recycling.)

And some communities have recycling programs as well (some are free).

Plus, in many areas it is illegal to dump toxic materials even if they have a huge dumpster unless it is designated for electronics and/or hazardous material. A tv and computers are consider to have hazardous/toxic material in them and usually are required to dispose of in certain ways. Though not everyone does.
If caught you can face fines.

also if you are in California I don't think they charge the $25 fee and will take tv up to 32" ... if you buy a large new tv they might pick up larger ones free and haul them away.

Get yourself an ankle brace, compression and stabilization are soooooo important! Or a compression bandage but it's more trouble to apply and doesn't stay put as much. This is said as a recent sprained ankle sufferer.

I think Lony's sister should have called her... if she is missing her sister so much.. it would have been nice to hear her voice.. and when that wicked witch up there in Vegas sends my son anything I make him pick up the land line and call...maybe a co worker or an acquaintance is different.. I don't know.. I am technology naive... so I would always pick up a phone..
