I usually hate the smell of ground beef browning but today I used ground round and it wasn't as bad. I still didn't like it but it was better. LOL My chili is cooking. Looks good. There are a ton of hotdogs. I think I'm going to broil them because it's so cold out I doubt I can convince dh to grill them. Plus the poor guy has been working 10 1/2 hour days all week so he's tired. I also took out a big bag of queso that I bought somewhere and am going to heat some in the micro to put on top of the chili dogs.

I've been working on my meal plan for the next week. I have my app figured out for Sunday---cheesy almond crackers and buffalo chicken dip. I'll probably make a cold app too of some sort. Main dinner will be bbq ribs, lc jalapeno cheddar bread, coleslaw, and a berry upside down cake--lc of course with whipped cream.

Howdy chicks!

See you've been talking up a storm today! Gotta go finish up a couple of chores and will be back to catch up.

Still cranky! Didn't help that a person of whom I've thought as a good friend at work acted underhandedly at my detriment so they can kiss up to the Principal. I guess this is why I don't have that many friends (with exception of ones I've known since childhood and can really trust). People and human nature always disappoint. To the point where you don't want to bother investing your efforts into friendships.

Oh Eliza, I'm sorry about your supposed "friend." That is awful. I have no friends either. I left them all in CT, those were my lifelong friends.

Lony, I hate to say this, but I believe Fred might benefit from a LC diet.

Eliza, sorry about your friend. She is the loser in the situation since she is losing you as a friend.

Thank you, girls! Your kind words mean a lot. And googlie eyed Fred is cute beyond words and made me smile. I feel very sad because I feel I have lost a friend. I don't know if and how this friendship could be salvaged after what she did - it was deliberate and preplanned. Can't trust that person any more. Worst part is we have been inseparable at work for the past 4 years, shared a lot, laughed a lot, daily.

This person took something I'd been working on without her involvement and presented it as hers. Her goal is achieved - new Principal likes her and thinks highly of her. She is even taking her out for lunch and for out-of-school visit to a place which implements similar projects. I'm left out in the cold, don't want to bother raising a stink about it - they can have it and place it where the sun don't shine. I would've never imagined this person could act this way! Ever! She has always acted like a normal, decent person before. I guess I'm a trusting old fool.

The tears will dry and we'll all move on from this. In the meantime, there's wine.

NSV: I don't get up at night to go to the bathroom anymore. I used to get up 2 or sometimes even 3 times a night to pee. roflol I know tmi! It's amazing to me though.

Checked my email this am. I had relisted that cell phone yesterday that I sold a few weeks ago because that person never paid. Someone used buy it now last night and already paid for it. WOOHOOOOOO!!!! I'm mailing it today. Quick-quick. This is good. Now I have an extra $125!!!!! I'm going to put it in my vacation fund I think. We're going to our timeshare on the lake the first week of June and we'll need the money. I only have $450 saved so far so if I add this, it'll be $575! Good thing the ts is already paid for so we just need spending money.
Chewie, congrats on the NSV and on selling that phone! Woohoo!

Eliza, crocheting usually helps me relax, but this project was under a deadline. I am ready to start some leisurely crocheting.

Thank you, KC! Thankfully, DH is a mechanic by trade. Saves a lot of money on home repairs. We just opened the DW after it was done and there was a pool of water on the bottom. He diagnosed it as a pump issue and called Sears center for the part. Don't know what happened today because he is asleep when I'm awake and when I got home he was sleeping. Now I'm waiting for him to wake up to hear the details. Hopefully Sears had the right part and it's already installed and my DW is ready to go.
