yes i know but Steven messed up his common app back in December and ended up missing the deadline for Vanderbilt! i KNOW he could have gotten in and then been under that program SIGH now i can see 60 K for a school like that (even though i could never afford it unless it was underr need blind) but georgetown Ky is ugh just like th e university of the Cumberlands here
we will see how he does at EKU i am just sad because he had such opportunities and MISSED them by not paying attentuon to what he needed to get done

KC, I have made that recipe for years. My family calls it crustless coconut pie. It is a family favorite and we must have it for Thanksgiving.

I don't know if I'll have time today as ds wants to go to the hospital.

I don't know. I just called the hospital, which of course is not the one I know. It's in a town north of here. GRRR They didn't know the visiting hours and also told me there were multiple patients with his same name. WTH???? kcmama....Stillwater is about an hour west of us. It's a college town.
Enjoy your prayer meeting. For many years I went most Tuesday mornings. I learned so much from the wisdom of the older ladies. We had some really fun times and also some great luncheons. Many of those old saints are gone now. I'll always have wonderful memories of them all.
I'm sewing this morning also.
I asked my grand daughters last evening if they would like nana to make them
some clothes for their American dolls. Oh my goodness! One ran and got her
doll and told me to take her home to measure with. One wants a pink t shirt and
jeans. The other wants a skirt and jean shorts. I have an old pink t shirt so I plan
on using that. In fact I found a lot of my old clothes that I plan on using.

I'm thinking the same thing as Deb. It sounds like he might have been bit by a brown recluse. Those things do awful things to you!

I had to fight through wanting to eat junk this morning. I finally gave in and made a few pepperoni chips and had a hot cup of Cafe Mocha. It wasn't a sugar free one either but at least it has seemed to take care of the eating and cheating mode. I made the mistake of stepping on the scales with still no weight loss. I think that is what made me want to eat junk. Hopefully the sewing will keep my mind and hands busy!!

Sue, look on Pinterest. You can find lots of patterns. Lony pinned something that shows the measurments for the dolls. That is really helpful.

Howdy!

I'm taking a break. I've been puttering around in the kitchen. I took my ribs out of the oven...they are cooling on a rack. Got my LC BBQ sauce made. Shredded a head of cabbage in my food processor, and some carrots and made a huge mess. LOL Made some coleslaw dressing. Then I did a load of dishes in the D/W and hand washed some other stuff. My next round I think I'm going to shred up half a head of cauliflower and chunk up the other half for that smoked cheesy cauliflower casserole.

Hi all. Left work at 11 and went to the thrift store. Got 2 tops for me and a work out shirt for one of the boys--those moisture wicking kind. Also found an adorable 8 x 8 ceramic dish to bake brownies. It has ruffled/turned edges and handles. So cute and I only paid 75 cents. Woohoo.

Then I got my $2 a gallon milk and 95 cent dozen of eggs. Stopped for gas and it was down to $3.47. Not great but better than it was. I got gas on 2/15 last and then filled up today, about 3 weeks???? Not bad.

Then I came home, emptied the d.w. and counter of all the clean dishes, heated up some chicken and paid some bills. I have to go to the bank later too. I also have an order to p.u. at Sears--a hose for dh that we really needed and I got on sale, free ship to store.

Kcmama..Since the girl's basketball team only lost like 1 game.. they will be able to start the playoffs at home at the school...I think if you lose your out.. the hot chick my son was tutoring that day.. won the MVP at her championship game.. and I remember her telling me, that they will play the next 3 games at home during the state finals.. that's if they keep winning.. then I guess that trims the field down and then they will go to a venue.. cause I could have sworn my son once telling me that it may be held in Sacramento....but I could have been on crack.. LOL...the girl's soccer team won the city champs as well.. so they too are invited to the state finals.. and as I told you the irony is I know one of the girls on the team.. my son went to pre school with her.. she used to be so tiny and so short.. and now she is muscular and 5'7"... good thing the kids are getting older not me though!!!!!!!

Deb.. you knitting some booties???

In the meantime.. my baby sonny boy isn't feeling so hot.. but he doesn't want to go to the doctors...and he got short with me for no reason this morning.. I just asked what time he is done with school today.. and he answered back in a smart assed tone.. but I didn't say anything.. usually I do..and then 2 seconds later he apologized to me.. so I think that was the first time ever for that!!!! LOL

I gotta get my food plan for Sunday and a list for the other things.. I just don't feel like it.....wished I could blink my eyes and a Chef appears in the kitchen...

I think the last time he checked he told me it was red...I was praying he would say no white spots.. I am just hoping it goes away....he is sick and I am eating like a lawn mower....go figure...Do you have any stamps.. I need one for sure.....
