I can't leave and go to my thrift store. Oh well, no biggie really. They are adding a shower to the women's restroom and there are too many people here. Plus my friend, the treasurer, just came in for some help from me and now it's too late to go anyway. They close at 12.

A snack should have protein in it
Fruits and veggies are second in line in eating

I have a protein shake at work at 9 or 10 am
I drink at least 2-3 quarts of water at work till I leave
Lunch is normally some leftover protein or a few pcs of lunchmeat( I stick with turkey and chicken)
I have a snack of bouillion, a cup of tea or a cheese stick at 4 or 5 pm
Dinner is whatever I'm making, lc and a small portion

I can't eat much yet. I do not even get to a cup of food. I probably eat about 1-1 1/2 oz of protein at a meal. Sometimes I can eat a little more but not too often. I eat 2 pc of broccoli or asparagus as a serving. I do not eat carbs or any bread even the lc breads that I make. I just don't have the room in my stomach.

If I could follow Chewie's diet, I'd lose weight too! Great job losing 52 pounds Chewie! That is awesome!!

I haven't had time to read thru all the posts yet. I just got home a while ago and had to make some breakfast for DH. I went shopping at Target after work for the baby shower I'm going to tomorrow. I got such cute stuff! My favorite is a little 3 piece outfit with a tiny little hoody jacket that says Captain Adorable. It's a sailor theme. I also found out it's a potluck so I'm making saucy meatballs and bringing them over in a crockpot. I will also be providing those tiny Hawiian sweet rolls and little slices of cheese if anyone wants to make a sandwhich out of them. I figured I'd bring "real food" because it's been my experience lately with potlucks that everyone just brings desserts and snacky type foods. I have to go to bed in less than an hour...I'm thawing my ground beef as much as I can today then when I get home tomorrow I will put my meatballs together. I was going to go the easy route and buy a bag of meatballs but I didn't like the ones they offered at Target (3rd ingredient SOY!) and I didn't have time to go to another store.

Hi Melinda. I'm not impressed with Target's groceries either, but they are OK in a pinch. I only went there because that is where the baby momma is registered.

Hi folks. I had a rib and a half for lunch. So far so good. I still have 5 minutes till I can drink. This will drive you batty.

I already made tzatzki sauce for our lamb gyros. This is a big favorite meal at my house but ground lamb is $6 a pound. I have 2 lbs of lamb and 2.25 lbs of ground sirloin. I mix it because I just don't want to buy all that lamb. It tastes like lamb anyway. The sirloin is in cold water in my sink though cause it's still part frozen.

I also got more laundry done. I'm doing it everyday now so it doesn't pile up on the weekends. No reason to let it do that. I just have to kick the boys' butts to bring it downstairs. They always say "later"---no, I saw "now!" lol

Well, Chewie, I don't rightly know! If it were summer I could give you a whole list but if the weather isn't great then your options are seriously limited. Schlitterbahn is open in the summer and Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun later in the spring. I am not sure that there will be anything going on at the Nascar RaceTrack. There is a Great Wolf Lodge by the RaceTrack and the Legends shopping center. It has a large indoor waterpark. Sporting KC has just started their season and their stadium is right there by the Race Track. It's too early for the Royals and T-Bones. If you are serious then I will look into finding things for you.

That's an awesome price. The big giant 10 lb packs at Sam's was $3.19 a pound yesterday. Things are just so out of control.

Oh, no! She is what, 3 months old? Did your daughter say when they first began noticing the rapid eye movement/nystagmus? Wonder if she was tracking before now? I will keep them in prayers. So painful and frightening for parents! (and grandparents) Good thing they have them going to a Children's Hospital. Be prepared that they may need to do CT/MRI tests as well.

Hmmmm, today isn't Wednesday is it? Our sirens are going off and it is a bit cloudy but in the 30s so should be too cold for tornados....

They noticed the movement at birth, but the doctor brushed it off as common among babies. She has never tracked, thats why they want her to go in.

Thank you kcmama.

Seriously Chewie that same package the next day and the other days of the week is 5.99 a pound.. so I have to weigh at gas being 4.13 a gallon is it worth it....but they have seedless grapes on sale for .99 cents...so it makes it worth it.. but the prices are beyond..

Lucky I was looking at this one....

Ingredients
STEAKS
1 large egg
1/2 c milk
3/4 c self rising flour
1 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp each ground black pepper and garlic powder, or to taste
1 lb ground beef
1/2 c vegetable oil
GRAVY
3 Tbsp seasoned flour
3 Tbsp oil
1 c milk

Directions
1
In a shallow dish beat together egg and 1/2 cup milk, set aside.
2
In another shallow dish or on a plate mix together 3/4 cup of flour, seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3
Shape ground beef into three equal sized oval "steaks" and flatten into 1/4 inch thickness.
4
Add each "steak" one at a time to egg mixture, coating both sides well.
5
Then add each "steak" to seasoned flour, making sure to cover each side well.
6
Heat oil until hot but not smoking over medium heat in skillet large enough to hold all the "steaks",then add "steaks" cook until both sides are golden brown.
7
Remove "steaks" and keep warm.
8
To make gravy, drain all but 3 Tablespoons oil, add flour and stir into oil until a paste like texture is reached.
9
Cook this mixture (roux) for about 5 minutes on medium heat to eliminate the raw flower taste, then stir in milk a little at a time until desired thickness is reached, if you want it a little thinner add a bit of water.
10
At this point, taste and add more seasoning if desired.
11
Pour gravy over "steaks" and mashed potatoes.
