I am finally allowed to eat anything now. I have not had any nuts or even fruit except a strawberry once. I was never a big fruit person anyway. I am looking forward to making some coleslaw and salads soon though. I just don't know how I'll fit them in. I guess I'll cherish the one tablespoon I will eat. LOL

Plus they have malabsorption and are limited to what otc meds and vitamins they can take. Plus they get dumping. None of which I wanted. I am very happy with my choice. I think it is a lifesaver, at least for me.

In high school I would eat three saltines and one small can of mushrooms a day. I also only drank unsweetened lemon kool aid. Walked on the treadmill for an hour and I lost a half a pound in a month.

Yeah, I bet we all have. It is such a battle.

Honestly though, Lony, you have done fantastic. I'm so proud of you and what you have accomplished. You don't even look like your "before" picture, it's hard to believe that was even you.

Yes and that would be it. Oh, plus there is an important drinking rule that I forgot to mention: NO drinking with meals. You must stop drinking 30 minutes before you eat, only take a max of 20 minutes to eat and no drinking for 30 minutes after you eat. This is so you absorb all the nutrients and don't flush the food out of the stomach and then cause added hunger. This is a very hard rule but it's becoming second nature. I am a clock watcher with it though. LOL

No, not lots. The sleeve is different than the bypass. I take 1 multivitamin a day and a couple calcium citrate. That is all that's required. I also take other vits/supps on my own like magnesium, biotin, Vit E, Vit D3, etc.

Hi Melinda and Deb............I'm still hanging around.

There is news here on the island - and not good............ugh - a woman is missing. They found her dog - dead. Her daughter said her mother would not go out without her cell - or meds that she takes every day. She just recently moved out of the house - separated from her husband. Still haven't found her - think it's day 3. Scary stuff - way too close that's for sure.

I'm still having a horrible time with this eating. Well - the horrible part is I'm just eating too much, too often. How do we get a mind/attitude adjustment - what could we do to help each other to stick with a good program? I'm getting so frustrated - always start the day good - and then fall through the cracks by late afternoon. Melinda - are you noticing anything with the raspberrry ketones? Think it was Lucky and you that were taking them. I have to pull the reins on this out of control eating I have. I feel miserable - then disgusted. I know I'm not the only one dealing with this. It is so hard.

Linda

Eliza - when I read about your - ummm - anti-friend and stealing your ideas - my heart hurt for all the pain that she inflicted on you. You will get beyond it - that's just the kind of person you are. I really don't know how you will deal with her - this will certainly be a hard challenge for you - and I know you won't deal with her - unless it's absolutely necessary. I believe in karma - have to believe what goes around comes around. Linda

You know Chewie - I have wondered how you do this too. I give you credit though - cause I know I could not - nor would I do all that cooking when I can't eat nor enjoy it. This is the time you need to be thinking of yourself first. Aren't you feeling like they could make a few concessions too while you are going through this life-changing time? You are way stronger than I, and I know you will figure it out. You've done so well these past 3 months. Congratulations - you deserve it.

Lony - what are you thinking? Are you really going to try a new eating plan? You sound like you've made a commitment to try the gym - and you're stepping up your walking.
