Popping back in to say hi. Had to come back home before hitting the grocery stores as I am starving! I managed to stay all lc yesterday and didn't really have much problem with hunger issues, but, today? Man I am so hungry. I didn't like my breakfast. Made a chocolate OMM. It was dry and not sweet enough for my tastes. I forced it all down but Ugh. On the plus side, while waiting for my salmon to cook, I went through the past few days worth of mail. So, my trip back home has not been a total loss. Oh, and I threw in another load of laundry as well.

Deb, sorry to hear about the English teacher. We are fortunate here as in we have absolutely amazing teachers. There are 3 other amazing school districts here as well and they all compete with each other in test scores and teacher salaries. Of course, the kiddos don't necessarily think they are fortunate while they are going through it but I have heard from more than one former district high schooler how far ahead they were in college over a lot of other students. So, in the end it will pay off though they don't appreciate it now.

the head of the drama dept at Cumberland whodirected Lear told Steven she had several AP students from his system in her English class and they were NOT making the cut, Steven told her EXACTLY why
it is a terrible shame

HONESTLY including my own sons the kids from Whitley ARE NOT ready for college when they graduate Whitley it really is a shame and i told them BOTH they had to do their own prep with the tools i gave them
Steven's regular English teacher this year is pretty good this student teacher is wacked and she is in control right now

Hi all. I had my 3 month appt today, got a B12 shot and they took blood for labs. They'll call if there is any abnormality. I weighed in 52 lbs less and that was after drinking 48 oz of water, a protein shake and a cup of coffee plus a cheese stick. I'm pretty happy with that although in my warped mind, I really wanted to hit 60 lbs. She told me that at my 6 month checkup, they like to see 50% of your excess weight gone. That would be awesome. I hope to lose about 150 or maybe a little more. I don't know but will know when I get close. So 50% of that is 75. I think that is very doable, what do you think?

So I am emotionally empty. I don't know how to describe how I feel but tired just doesn't even come close. I feel used up and withered away. That is so weird for me as it's a nice sunny day and I got good results at the doctor. I didn't want to go though.

Also, I even stopped at Sam's on the way home because I have wanted a reuban so bad since seeing those stupid Arby's commercials. I came home, took 3 pc of corned beef, put mustard on it, added it to a hot pan with butter and then melted swiss cheese on top. I ate about 3/4 of it and I was done. I went and layed in my bed and read and then took a nap for about an hour. In years past, I would have hit a drive through and bought a bunch of trash to eat and celebrate. Today it was corned beef. LOL Oh btw, regular corned beef has less calories and fat than turkey pastrami. That I don't understand. I compared them both.

I am just wiped out. I hope I'm not getting sick. I don't even have any energy to cook. It might just have to be leftovers tonight.

Wow, Chewie, good job. I heard of a nurse that worked at a clinic where they proformed the surgery and she didnt want to go under the knife so she followed the diet the clients did after surgery. She lost a ton of weight.

Do you mind sharing your post-op diet?

Well not that I am a food addict!!! LOL but I like to start looking on Monday for my recipes for Sunday.. and I came across this recipe and I would like to try it...

Grilled Spanish mustard meat
Ingredients:

2 pounds thin sliced beef (any thin flap meat, skirt steak, flank steak, round steak, etc.
2 tablespoons Dijon
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
4 cloves minced, crushed garlic, optional
1/4 cup sherry vinegar
1/4 cup light olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper to tastes

Mix mustard, smoked paprika, sherry vinegar, oil, salt.. mix it up...put the meat in the marinade...till coated.. marinade at room temp for half an hour....hot fire or grill.. 2 minutes per side..let meat rest..slice against the grain...
he served it on flour tortillas, cilantro, avocado..

Excuse the directions I took it off a video and had to use my own words LOLOL!!

My rules are protein first(a minimum of 60 grams a day)
a min of 64 oz of water
3 meals and up to 2 snacks a day
A meal may only consist of up to 1 cup of food total
A snack should have protein in it
Fruits and veggies are second in line in eating
Carbs are last in line
Limit nuts, seeds, etc--high fat and calorie plus these can become "slider foods"

I normally have 1 cup of coffee in the morning
I have a protein shake at work at 9 or 10 am
I drink at least 2-3 quarts of water at work till I leave
Lunch is normally some leftover protein or a few pcs of lunchmeat( I stick with turkey and chicken)
I have a snack of bouillion, a cup of tea or a cheese stick at 4 or 5 pm
Dinner is whatever I'm making, lc and a small portion

I can't eat much yet. I do not even get to a cup of food. I probably eat about 1-1 1/2 oz of protein at a meal. Sometimes I can eat a little more but not too often. I eat 2 pc of broccoli or asparagus as a serving. I do not eat carbs or any bread even the lc breads that I make. I just don't have the room in my stomach.
