Good morning. Got up yesterday from my nap not feeling the greatest and it proceeded to get worse. I did make the lc yellow cake w/berries, all the dips and the wings. Dh made the creamed spinach soup as I just wasn't up to it. I didn't eat but had about 1/4 cup of soup. I ended up going to bed at 9:15. My stomach still isnt' great today but hopefully that will pass. I would like to have a rib later.

KC--your daughter's dress and hair sound gorgeous. Why can't you wear purple????

Deb--glad Ken got your alternator done. Sorry you didn't make the play.

Melinda--hope your ds feels all better today.

Eliza--how was the shower? I love that purple dress too.

Sue--what color are you painting your room? Painting is a ton of work.

Good Morning!

I slept in until 8:30! Didn't get up until 9:00 though.

On the plus side I did shower immediately instead of coming downstairs for coffee first.

I brought down a load of whites with me to put in the machine as youngest told me yesterday that she is on her last pair of clean undies.

So, there should be clean ones for her when she finally gets up. She had a friend spend the night. I am sitting here now enjoying my first cup of coffee.

Ds came in to my room at midnight last night to show me a photo a friend of his had texted him. His friend had gone out of town to play in a LaCrosse Tournament and the photo was of his legs in the backseat of his car with one of them in a brace! No details on what he has done to it yet. Poor kid. And he was going through Lifeguard training to work this summer. May not be able to now poor guy!

Yes! They did. My friend who was at the benefit said they were about an hour late in arriving and police/firefighters had to be called to get them out. That is a time they will never forget I am sure!

Awwww, Chewie, sorry you weren't feeling well. I sure hope you get better as the day goes on. Can you take meds to settle your stomach or do you have to avoid them for a certain time post op?

I can't wear purple as that is the color of our arch rival!

However, if that dress came in red, jade green, or royal blue.........

Work was good...a bit slow but it usually is on the weekends at blood bank.

I'm just in a bad mood. I want junk food so bad. I talked myself out of stopping at 3 places on the way home....and then as soon as I got home I wolfed down a bag of candy-coated popcorn I hadn't gotten around to throwing away yet. I hate dieting yet I hate being fat. Blah!

She really did!So grown up and red carpet worthy. Gives a mom really mixed feelings, you know? Her date is already working as an accountant. Sadly, he looks to be about 4-5" shorter than her in the pics from last night. Of course, she did have on heels.......I saw her before he came to get her and then had to leave. I got the crackers made and also made some cheesy biscuits. DS14 said the crackers were good--I have to stop him from eating them. I also had 2 wings for breakfast and made ds a quesadilla with the leftover taco meat and cheese. Dh is in the shower. Not much else to do today except a little cleaning, maybe 1/2 hour.

KC--oh no about your ds's friend. Hope his leg isn't too bad. I don't really take anything for my stomach--just live with it and try to figure out if it's something I did or not. Then do not repeat. lol

Mona--back on the wagon now, girlie.

Melinda--hope your knees get better. What do you take?

Lony--get that Fredburger out for a doggie jog!!!

I succombed to the call of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream (lots more than the 1/2 cup serving size they put on the back!) and key lime chessecake squares (I know they were made with sweetened condensed milk--had the taste and texture).

I just kept going back for more and more.

Buuuuuuut, today is a new day and I plan to get back on track. Not going to beat myself over the head and chuck it all. I refuse to let food win out.

Freddie and I are going to Sheridan for a doggie play date! With the rain and melting snow everything is just one big giant mud puddle.

Mona....OMG I can so relate.,,

My knees get worse when TOM is around the corner...I take Aleve....anyway my boy still has fever.,,..but he didn't take the Motrin. Last night.....so I made him drink the Gatorade I bought the morning and pill....now he is in my bed watching TV....of course being the Jewish boy that he is.,,,,he has counted the hours to when it was he had something to eat LOL..

Hubs cleaned the dog run this morning and the dogs tracked the lousy soap on my kitchen floor...so I had to stop cooking or else I am going to fall...

Anyway I hope you all enjoy the day.....

Well I'm going back on my birth control pills. My (old) doctor convinced me to try and get off of them again....there is always the chance of blood clots and other side effects and the chances get worse as we get older. She also said it could be raising my BP a bit. Well it looks like the same thing is happening as Summer 2011 when I tried to stop taking them. I now have the period from hell and I can feel my mood slipping into oblivion. I hate feeling pissy like this all the time. I keep waiting for LC to click but so far it hasn't happened. I don't mean to just whine and whine. I know it's hard for everybody.

Mona,, with regards to low carb. I am finding more and more people say the same things....it's almost like it works and then it stops.,,,,like you have a one time shot....I think it's a good diet to maintain or keep blood sugar down.....but I have to say lw carb has done zero for me, for a couple of years now..I hope you feel better,...I don't consider it whining at all.....I think it would be neat to toss out ideas....and discuss it,,,,,cause unless I starve myself that is the only way I drop weight.
