Yay Michele!! You're rocking it, keep going!

I was down almost another pound today! So excited! BUT the weekend is coming, and so is spring break. I live in Arizona, but most of my kids are in Kansas. 4 of my kids are coming out for spring break, so I'm meeting them at the Grand Canyon and we're spending a couple of days there before coming back here. I'm so excited, and I don't think I'll have any trouble at all staying on plan, but I may not get in as much water as usual. I'm bringing some hard boiled eggs, ham, and cheese to put in the refrigerator at the hotel, but I'm hoping that not drinking as much water isn't going to hurt me.

What's everybody have planned for the weekend?

Mthrgoos ....You are just melting away!!! Care to share a typical days menu ?

Today so far.....

Breakfast: mock Danish
Lunch: stir fried cabbage, hamburger, bacon..about a cup or so
Dinner: pot roast in the crockpot plus some kind of veggies

Snacks: usually pork rinds or pepperoni chips

Sure Michele!

I primarily stick to meat, eggs, and cheese. For instance, yesterday menu was ~

B- 3 Eggs, fried in 1 teaspoon coconut oil and some shredded hard cheddar on top

L- 4 eggs diced up in a bowl with some mayo and mustard to make an egg salad

S- 3 small pieces of copacolla with 1 oz. sharp cheddar cheese

D- Some hamburger, mixed with a little mayo, and some shredded cheese mixed in

Lots of water and diet pepsi

It's simple, but I like it. I'm not hungry really, and thankfully haven't been fighting the cravings.

Michele, I take 2 magnesium each day, and if I do have a problem I just drink a cup of smooth move herbal tea. It's not usually a problem though.

Happy Saturday everyone! Doing the usual weekly housecleaning today...Also made a trip to Sams Club for some eggs and a few other things....Cooked up 2 dz eggs and have them pickling in the fridge...I absolutely hate peeling hardboiled eggs....wish there was a fool proof method of doing them so every one of them peels nicely....I have tried almost every method i could find and I find that my Moms way is the best....at least I can get half or more to peel nice...LOL I know they say dont use fresh eggs....but how do you know how fresh they are when you buy them from a store?

Well happy low carbing everyone!

Good Morning All!
Checking in....still sicker than a dog....but feeling better.
I did a curiosity weigh in yesterday...and I'm a pound down...and that's with TOM! So I'm tickled about that.
Michele: a fresh egg will sink.
sinks to the bottom and stays there, it is about three to six days old.
Sinks, but floats at an angle, it's more than a week old.
Sinks, but then stands on end, it's about two weeks old.
Floats, it's too old and should be discarded.

Hope this helps! Hope everyone is doing well! Enjoy!

Great job everyone! =D I'm not melting away, but I'm staying diligent! I've cut down on the cheese some (maybe an ounce instead of 3) and I'm upping the veggies a bit more( I could live on meat/cheese/eggs). So I'm making sure I'm not undermining the diet. Who knows! I also can't believe it's only been 11 days for me! I'm not discouraged, just agitated! Standing by the roadside waiting for the tow truck to haul my fat away! =)

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a great week so far.....still going strong here....had a couple days that I was craving sweets but I didn't succumb to it....instead grabbed a sf jello or an Atkins bar I'm already dreading work next week ( Friday ) it's the end of quarter and my boss always orders pizza for us....I don't want to make any special requests and don't know if it would look good just sitting there eating off the toppings . I always have an Atkins meal bar in my purse so maybe I will have that...don't want to make her feel bad though.
Enough rambling....have a great evening peeps!

May I join in?

Happy Easter! A time for new beginnings! I am beginning again and have been lurking in your little corner for a while and I think I fit in with this group. I hope you will agree! I know LC works and I always have felt better when eating LC. However, I get discouraged and throw in the towel even though I know better. So I would love to join your little group and share in and give encouragement, ideas, and help whenever I can!

You all have accomplished much in so little time. Congratulations to you all!

WTG I have been there too. Back about 9 years ago I was on Atkins and dropped 60 lbs down to about 262lbs then got impatient with myself as it was getting harder to lose and gave in to temptation. I gained it all back and another 11lbs on top of it. Now I am starting over with Weight Watchers initially and then switching to low carb.

I have to learn to be patient and be grateful for what I achieve each week. I also need to remind myself that when the weight loss slows my body is adjusting and changes are still happening so don't give up and keep on going.
Our worst critic is ourselves and that negative voice needs to be shutdown!

So this time I need to do this and change my life once and for all. Not getting any younger.
