Thanks Z, supportive criticism is always appreciated.

I did do LCing a long time ago for about a year (only stopped because I started having kids) and have just started a couple of weeks ago so am trying to figure this all out again.

I am not a big eater to begin with, generally I don't like or eat big meals, I am used to eating a little all day long, just like my 3 yr old. I think that's what my body is used to.

I find that 2 eggs cooked in butter with a tbsp of sour cream is a fine quick breakfast, and while not full, I'm also not hungry. I think I definitely need to add something else to the breakfast but not sure what. I've tried 3 eggs and well, I just don't like eggs that much to eat that many in a sitting.

But this does wear off after a couple of hours and then yes, I'm hungry. Lunch I have a can of tuna mixed with lots of mayo or a chicken breast plus a small salad with dressing. Again this wears off after couple of hours.

Dinner is a good sized protein of protein and some veggies. Always cooked in oil or butter for the protein.

I guess what I need to do is add more snacks throughout the day to counteract the smaller meals. Again, just trying to figure out what this is all about again and what will work long term for me. Thanks again for your feedback Z, I do appreciate it.

I am glad that you received that in the spirit intended. When I first started out, and I needed to supplement the mass of my intake in a carb friendly, and easily accessible sort of way, I would make a large salad - a few bags of baby spinach, chop up mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, cucumber, some diced garlic and a bit of tomato... Add some feta and Parmesan cheeses, and mix well, with a dressing that is 1 part vinegar to 2 parts olive oil (a zero carb dressing, if you make it yourself).

Distribute the salad into gallon bags, and keep in the fridge for quick and easy snacking.

For more traditional snacking, there is always microwave pork rinds (aka Bacon Curls).

There are a lot of different sausages that can be quickly snacked on, in moderation: Hard Salami, Genoa Salami, Landjaeger, pepperoni, Hungarian Kolbasz, little smokies... Most of these will have some carb count, so just be aware of that.

For a sweet tooth, maybe try a sugar free chocolate and caramel latte, made with steamed heavy cream instead of milk - though depending on your plan, you might want to wait until you're well into ketosis before you start adding so much milk sugar to your diet.

But if ketosis isn't the goal, you can probably get away with quite a few things.

Thank you for the welcome!

For me, I tend not to eat breakfast. I have my coffee w/hwc. I do sometimes get hungry, but I tend to ignore that. Funny I dont get hungry on the weekends but I think thats because I get up later than when I get up for work. If I do get hungry, Its usually because I have forgotten to drink all of my coffee.

I am at work at about 6:45, and I take lunch between 11 and 11:30.

My lunch during the week is 2 eggs, an ounce of cheese and 3 bacon slices.

Dinner is some kind of meat, chicken, pork or beef. Very occasionally lamb.
1/2 cup of cauli mash
5-7 oz of broccolli, or some other veg, if the carbs are low enough.

I dont usually snack... and never during the day.

If I have a really hungry day, then I'll make some pudding with glucomann powder and silk unsweetened almond milk. That fills me up and and also satisfies my sweet tooth.

In general, my dinner is my big meal, and I make sure I am full there. Im not full after lunch, and sometimes want more..but really dont *need* more, and by the time I get to work I forget about wanting anything, unless I end up working overtime.

Well, Kali, if you had that much fun, then you didn't to too badly on the scale! Good for you!

I'm with Z. . . I eat until I'm full. That's important. But I only eat for maybe 1-2 hours a day typically. The rest of the time is left for the burn. It has worked for me, and I don't have to even THINK about food. I LIKE that kind of freedom! LUNCH anyone?

Well had a change today,but not in the right direction. This happens to me pretty often, so Im not worried. Im on plan with no cheats, sticks are purple, so its just part of the process.

Hello all. Doing pretty good with food although still eating a bit more than my normal since I am eating every meal out. It has been super cold here and I have been walking a lot, so I hope it will all balance out weightwise. It is driving me crazy to not have a scale. I might ask the house assistants where I am working to find one for me.

Dawn- It is nice to see an old familiar face again. I see you are still eating that pudding you and Pauline perfected a couple of years ago.

Groovygirl- You might be hitting the 3rd week stall which is really typical so hang in there.

Cassidy- Have you had your thyroid checked? I used to catch all kinds of infections when my thyroid was out of wack.

Yep...still eating the pudding. At the moment, Im not eating it as often, which is probably good. Im just using it if I am having a really hungry day, or one of those days when I am just feeling munchy.

Morning Friends!!

Worked out yesterday.... and I was wired as all get out last night. I couldn't go to sleep for nothing. I need to look for more melatonin for nights like this with no hidden crap in them. Or I could try the sleepytime tea first. *ephiphany*

Frankie- I haven't in 3 years. I need to go get that checked out.

Thanks Terri and Sinderella. I am feeling a tad bit better. Still coughing and sore throat still here but it is better. Still on antibiotics. So hopefully that improves it, which I think it has been.
