I've looked everywhere, including online, and it runs at $9 - $10 per lb everywhere. I've also been looking for whole raw almonds for snacks and found out the best, freshest whole almonds come from California.

Everything good and lovely comes from CA! Wink wink Melindochka

Wow my nap turned into a full night's sleep! Well this is my normal schedule so that is good. I got into a habit of staying up till 6 or 7pm during my staycation.

So I weighed myself and I am 5 pounds higher. WTH is up with that? I did nothing but pee yesterday! I don't usually expect to lose this fast but to gain 5 pounds? Oh well. I'm sure it's just a momentary glitch.

Wow! Another lesson that you always need to read the labels. I bought some chocolate almond milk and I just assumed it would be "healthy". Took a sip and was all "wow this is great!" A little too great. Look at the label....2nd ingredient is sugar. Down the drain it goes.

Lucikly I had some plain almond milk too. Made myself a protein shake with chocolate protein powder. Nom nom nom. Feels like I'm eating a real shake.

Mona.. you know what? I was so forced to hurry up for Carlos.. that it just didn't taste good yesterday if that makes sense...I over cooked my chicken.. which I tossed.. My Mexican Mish Mosh was totally ruined.. somehow my oven isn't melting cheese at a lower temp.. I don't even want to think about if anything is wrong with my stove.. and My Ramen Noodles.. I did not like the taste at all.. however I have figured out that next week.. I am going to do the same thing.. and add the Teryaki barbecue chicken to the Ramen and veggies.. I think the chicken was fantastic.. Thank you Trader Joes.. and there was enough sauce to mix it together and give it a good flavor.. my son said he would be down with that LOL...even my store bought ice cream had no taste...so I am going back to the drawing board....LOL...

Morning Everybody!

We are in full prep mode for this next big snowstorm we are to get later today. I will be heading to the store in a bit to see if there is any milk left. LOL

Melinda, sorry you didn't like some of your food. How bad was your overcooked chicken? Was it black? I have occasionally overcooked it as well. I try shredding it and mixing with sauces. It is especially good as a salvage in enchiladas. UNLESS it is totally burned/black wherein it would have to go to the trash. I do have a habit of occasionally overcooking meat so have learned to shred it and either let it soak in the juices or find a sauce. It is good in small pieces but hard to eat just slicing alone. I am sorry because you work so hard planning and cooking for your family. Hope Carlos shows up for you today!

Morning, Mona! Get all the laundry done?

Sue, did you all get snow yesterday? Will you be getting more today?

Eliza, oh no! Sick again? Sorry to hear that. Hope you can kick this one quickly.

Lony, hope you and Mike are feeling better as well. This getting sick every time he comes home is getting old, no?

Good morning. Monday's come too fast. LOL

Eliza--feel better. Get some rest and push those fluids. Glad your hair is not grinch green.

Melinda--hope you are not getting sick. Sometimes when we can't taste stuff, or things taste funny means illness is on it's way.

Our dinner was delicious. We sure go through a lot of food on Sundays though. All the apps went, deviled eggs and crab stuffed mushrooms. There are about 6 cupcakes left and a little chicken/spinach stuff.

My cream cheese frosting didn't set up as much as I wanted it to. I probably used too much sf DaVinci syrup---plus cream cheese and some sf pudding mix. Oh well, they said it was delicious.

Today I'm making meatballs and zoodles. I sure hope the zucchini is still good.

Mona--are you still on vacation?

KC--we might get some snow too but I doubt it. We got nothing much last week.

Lony--feel better.

NSV--I have on a silk blouse that was too small for me only months ago. It is almost too big. I hate trying clothes on though so I think this problem maybe ongoing for me. I'm not the type to go in the closet and try things on. I get dressed in the morning, if it fits--good, if not--try something else. Anyone else like me?

I love coming back to the computer and having lots of posts to read.

KCMama I am drying the last load. Gosh, I remember you saying a couple of months ago that you were praying for rain. And now look....you've got all these snowstorms.

Chewie yes I'm still on vacation. I go back to work next Sunday night, so I still have almost a whole week off. You must be losing weight like gangbusters....another shirt is too big. Woo Hoo!

Great!! So far I haven't gotten to any of my planned projects, but there is still time! I have been doing a lot of cooking and dishes, however. LC would be so much easier if I could stay home all the time. LOL.
