It is so worth it. They only take minutes to mix, all in one bowl. Easy peasy.

For those with colds:
Cinnamon has been used in Chinese medicine for a long time. It is a natural remedy for common cold and coughs. You can treat your sore throat by drinking a cup of cinnamon tea. Take a cup of water and add a cinnamon stick to it, bring it to a boil and remove the stick. Use this tea twice a day you will feel better within 3 days; otherwise consult a doctor.

For cough take a teaspoon of warm honey with a pinch of cinnamon powder in it. It

And one more for the sickies:
Perfect Paleo Detox Chicken Soup-- Serves 4 or 6 bowls
For the soup:
˝ bunch kale (washed, stem removed and leaves shredded)
˝ bunch swiss chard (washed and shred leaves only. Keep stems)
1/2 leek (mostly white part, washed very well and sliced into strips)
2 cups green cabbage (shredded)
2 stalks of celery (washed and slivered)
6 cups fortified chicken stock (regular chicken stock, reduced to ˝ its volume)
couple minced cloves of garlic
salt and pepper to taste

To simmer the chicken:
2 chicken breast (bone-in for more flavor)
2 carrots (peeled and cut into thick slices)
2 stalk celery (washed and cut into big slices)
Swiss Chard (sliced stems)
˝ cup leek (washed and sliced)
˝ cup Spanish onion (cut into chunks)
cold water- to cover chicken and veg

For the Chicken:
1. Add all the ingredients in stockpot and cover with cold water.
2. Start on high until it comes to a boil and then reduce to a simmer and let the chicken cook for 25 minutes.
3. Remove chicken from pot and chill until cool enough to handle with hands. Pull chicken into shreds.

For the Soup:
1. Place all the shredded greens and garlic into a separate pot. Cover with fortified chicken stock and cook at medium high heat, until it begins to boil (you won’t see it very well, as the greens will cover the broth). The greens will soon cook down and diminish in size. Let soup simmer slowly for 10 more minutes.
2. Stir in shredded chicken breast and cook for 1 or 2 more minutes.
3. Adjust seasoning. I like to keep it low in salt after co ming out of detox.

To serve:
1. Spoon a nice amount of the greens and shredded chicken into a bowl.
2. Ladle about 1 cup of broth into your bowl.
Enjoy it while it’s hot!

Reading/nap time. It's nice to not "need" a nap but a luxury to be able to go lay in bed and read/nap. Have a great afternoon. Eliza--hoping for good color.

Chewie...the bagels sounds good. I can't buy Almond meal here due to the cost being so high! Over $9 a bag. I haven't checked to see if Wal Mart (as much as I hate going there) has them or not.
I am making the thin crust pizza that Linda Sue says is her new favorite pizza. I hope it is good! It smells wonderful!!!!

Well, the hair came out brown. Took 20 min to rinse off the mess. Now I'm scared it may stain my off-white pillowcases, may have to put a towel or something over them at least until after the next shampoo. DS said my hair looks shiny.

I told him now that the grays are gone, I should go look for a boy toy. I kid with my teenager like this. He said the only way I could get one would be if I were insanely rich. I asked him why he thought so, and he responded that I was "chronologically advanced". So I shall be the new Duchess of Alba sans the billions

Hey, it's the Oscars tonight. Need to watch the red carpet show.
