Melindochka, it's an individual preference, but I would try this combo at least once.if I were you...it's heavenly. A slice of cold watermelon with a thin slice of feta.....(I skip the mint, too strong of a flavor for the delicate melon and cheese).... Sweet and salty all in one....you may really like it.

Both recipes were very good---very much like real pizza. Awesome for low carb pizza!!!!!!!!!!!! I only had 1 piece but dh made the decision.

We have 9 1/2" of snow where it is not drifted. We are still supposed to get freezing rain and sleet tonight. We have a lot of drifts. We have 3 steps to the hot tub, and they are covered. We have about 50 baby calfs out in this. I don't know how many will make it until morning. We have a shed for them to calve in, but a lot have been moved out to make room for the babies still coming.

I lost internet service this afternoon for several hours. I was having withdrawal.

Many prayers for the baby calves. Hope they all survive. Any way to cover them somehow to keep poor things warmer? I know nothing about cattle wish I could do something for these poor creatures.

Funny story...my kitty likes to go out and roam the back yard, sometimes he goes around the house to the front yard. So tonight I opened the back door and since he wasn't there I went out front, and started calling..."Kitty, kitty, kitty..." About a minute later, a cat showed up....but it wasn't ours. It was a neighbor's cat I'd never seen before, nice medallion on a collar around his neck. I was like "sorry buddy, wrong kitty.." Nice to know they recognize when the word kitty is called.

If I had continued calling a bit longer, I would have had a whole neighborhood's worth of cats in my front yard. Like the pied piper of cats.

Eliza...."The Office" is a special place we meet usually in the mornings and/or afternoons.
In our little minds it is a cabin....or it is for me anyway. Maybe for Melinda being the city gal that she is it may be a casino in Vegas where we meet for her!! One thing for sure is it's a place to get away to laugh, cry, belly ache about our hubbies for a second, tell how much we love and appreciate our hubbies, share stories of our lives that we haven't even admitted to ourselves sometimes (let alone anyone else). Lend advice to each other on our kids, our diets, our self worth, and our mission is to solve at least one major problem of the world daily!!LOL

QUESTION for everyone......all most every time I make pumpkin anything I bite down and get these tiny little bites of what feels and sound like glass or something!! I have wondered if it comes from the pumpkin or maybe the cinnamon. I couldn't even eat my LC pumpkin tonight because it was so bad! I never can retrieve a piece of it because it is so tiny. It is almost like eating a tiny, tiny piece of sand. Does anyone else experience this ever?

Oh...someone asked about the carb count in hummus. The brand I have has 5 carbs for 2 Tablespoons.

You're right, that is carby. I could never stop at 2 tbsp. for sure. For me it will be more like a cup and since there are 16 tbsp. in a cup, that's 8 servings and 40 grams of carbs right there and an end to a LC day. The LC police will have to come and take it away from me.

But I simply loooooove hummus.

Good morning all...
I always measure out the two Tablespoons of the hummus. I just figure it helps me think I am getting something really good without blowing my eating on some junky type food. Sometimes I get it in my head that I HAVE to have junk food. I'm being careful not to have it daily. This morning I nuked a few turkey pepperoni for a snack if and when needed. It's strange. Yesterday I could have done without any type of snack. Today may be a day of eating the wall paper!!LOL Go figure!

Good morning peeps. Been up since 6 and got tons done. I did my vitamins and supps for the week, cleaned the frig, got meat out for the week, organized the frig in the garage, and threw a load in the washer. I'm ahead of the game. Burgers tonight so easy peasy.

Lucky, prayed for the calves---poor babies.

Sue--hummus may be carby but it also has good fiber and vitamins. 2 Tablespoons is a good amount for a nice snack, imho.

Eliza--funny about the neighborhood kitty.

What kind of sweetener are you using? I have never had this happen to me.

I couldn't have said it better myself....sometimes I think I would have gone crazy without our office visits..for sure...I adore you....

Now as for Feta Cheese..I am not a big cheese lover so I haven't had the desire to try it....I saw it once at the 99 cent store.. but that women had the whole box in her cart....so when she was looking at flowers I grabbed one out of her cart.. I know that was bad of me.. I am ashamed of myself for doing it.. but it was non fat feta.. and I said no way.. no non fat for me anymore.. that's what I got for stealing LOL...
