Wow, Lony, you wear me out just reading that. I am trying to get prepared for the storm they say is coming Thursday. We are to get 6" of snow and ice on top of that. I have already told my boss not to expect me if we get what they say we will get.

Deb, back to the lunches. What about salads? You can make meat stretch farther that way, too. Tunafish salad is good...scoop up with LC crackers or celery sticks. Tuna is sort of pricey though. There's chicken salad which would be more economical. I like to toast some pecans and keep them in a separate baggie until it's time to eat so they stay crunchy.

Deb....I have some meat balls and hard boiled eggs for hubs to take as an afternoon snack. For his lunch I have a turkey breast I am fixing. I also plan on fixing a hamburger/turkey veggie soup for the cold days ahead. He likes salads so I'll put plenty of meat and eggs on that. Beyond those few items I haven't thought yet. I am just taking this a few days at a time.
I also bought some cream cheese so I can make some of the little choc. balls if we think we are about to die of no sweets. I bought some veggies and some hummus dip also. Of course I stocked up on some pork rinds! Oink!!
How about cooking a pot of wings up for them to take for lunch?

Ken loves salads hates soup crazy guy
Steven hates salad UGH and has no way to do soup at school so IDK i will figure something out i am probaly overthinking it
i hate this i hate no having any confidence

oh gosh! my Mommie's old neighbor Lissie and then my BFF Bbetty made such wonderful soup just like you describe growing up mom;s neighbor saved us from going hungry many a day with that wonderful soup
and Betty would make it for me whenever i was sick with tomato juice she had canned herself
