Good Morning....

Focus Congrats!! I hear you I gain like that from Monday to Sunday...but it's not time for me to weigh in yet....

Chewie.. my boy is off from school as well.. but it's not time and a half for hubs....I wish....Your dinners always sound amazing...boy I ate like a pig yesterday... OMG...I didn't like the one dish I made.. you know when you substitute veggies for pasta, I can't figure out why mine comes out watery.. I am thinking it's the water in the veggies...I don't know..whatever we aren't starving here!!! LOL

Deb.. My car is a 1995 toyota....hoping that lasts for forever...I don't blame you for wanting to keep your van

Elizakins.. Don't know if your working today.. but if either way Good Morning...

Sue.. Good Morning.. I will see you in the office in a bit...

My goal last week for walking was 20 minutes a day.. this week is 25...so I am at 14...and I need to finish that as soon as possible...it's been in the mid 80's here.. and I believe by Tues and Wed it's going to rain and the temps will be back to cool for us..I just hope the leak in my bedroom stays contained...anyway on to finish my walking!!!

Melinda--if you have the chicken parm meatball recipe readily available, can you please post it? I have seen a few flies here already too. Yuck.

Lony--hugs and sorry you are grouchy. I had a dream about my mom last night and I was crying missing her this morning while having my coffee.

Here ya go Chewie

Chicken parm meatballs

Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds ground chicken
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 cup Pecorino (or Parm)
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 egg, whisked
zest of half a lemon
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 14-ounce can storebought pizza sauce (such as Don Pepino’s)
about 4 ounces fresh mozzarella (a dozen thin slices; to pile on the cheese would be to cancel out the fact that you were virtuous enough to replace fatty beef with lean chicken)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F, setting rack to upper third part of oven. In a large bowl, using your hands, gently mix together first 11 ingredients. Shape into lacrosse-ball size balls (that would be somewhere between golf and tennis) and place a few inches from each other on a foil-lined baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix one spoonful of your pizza sauce with olive oil. Brush this mixture on top of each meatball. Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove meatballs from oven, spoon some sauce on top of each meatball, and cover each with a slice of cheese. Broil another 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Heat remaining sauce in a small saucepan. Serve meatballs with a dollop of sauce and a raw Tuscan kale salad that has been shredded and tossed with shallots, Pecornio, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Has anyone had this before? My belly button really hurt yesterday. After my shower I noticed blood and goo coming out of it. I cleaned it with a q tip and it was so gross. I put some neosporin in it but it is still hurting. Any ideas? (sorry if it is TMI)

Thanks Lonykins.. Chewie I don't keep alot of spices and stuff in my house.. so I didn't use the garlic...oh boy what a shock.. and I didn't use the fennel or the lemon...my hubs would have complained if I had used the lemon..But I have to tell you again, I hate ground turkey and chicken.. though I can tolerate chicken.. but wow this was so good...

Yes I had that....and for me it stunk badly.. and I found it when hubs and I was in the book store.. and I showed him and he immediately rushed me to the Emergency room.. OMG I kicked and screamed going.. and he had to call my mom to talk me into going.. as a side note..

Anyway that happens to me every now and then....and when it does I use the Q Tip with a some peroxide.. and gently move it around in there.. Mine didn't hurt though.. it was just the blood and goo..and if I recall correctly I even poured a little peroxide in the belly button as well.. but you know Lony...I am not a doctor and I don't want to give you bad or the wrong advice..

No it was really deep at the base of my belly button. I think I had an abcess in there but how the heck do you get an abcess in your belly button? And more importantly why? When I was lots bigger I used to get them all the time under my arms and between my thighs. I have not had one for years.

I will keep an eye on it. I called my mom and she said it should heal up pretty quickly now that it has ruptured. I was freaked out because it is not like I am unclean. Hahaha I keep everything scrubbed down on a daily basis!
