Hiya Linda! I think about you most days now when I put in my eyedrops! LOL I am doing Systane intentionally because my eyes are so dry and gritty feeling and then when I rub them my vision seems blurry. Drops are helping.

YOur son did ok through the Inauguration and all the cold and snow I hope?

Linda, miss hearing from you. Hope you soon go from your blue to your pink period where everything is rosy. Glad to hear your eyes are doing well.

Hi girls! Just made it home. Feeling tired. Time to go cook. I'm back on CALP and eating one reward meal per day, but it has to be eaten within the hour. And because I had a bite of DH's leftover cake at 5:35, I am now in a race against the clock to finish cooking and eat by 6:35.

no, it's not the clap....

Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Plan. I've been on it before, easy to stick to. 2 very LC meals per day plus a Reward Meal you can have within an hour. Good for grazers like me. I eat a lot during the afternoons/evenings. With this, once the hour is over, I stop. This prevents the second release of insulin.

WL is slower than Atkins, usually, but it's the only plan I could stick to long term. You can have some carbs within that hour, so like if I wanted some cake, I could save it for my RM. I tend to rebel against diets, but this take the sense of psychological deprivation out.

Mona, thinking of you. Remember, anxiety could also cause the BP to spike up. I wish you could start taking ACV and/or magnesium in addition to your meds - easy and readily available. Most people see a size able improvement. Even pure liquid stevia is reported to lower BP.

Well, good. I hope you start to see some progress!! I shall have to keep this in mind. Can you do this as kind of a maintenance after you reach goal do you think? Or could I have a day to do this each week and remainder of days be low carb?

Hi to all....
Just checking in to see what everyone is doing.
Hi Linda.....hugs to you. I think this is just a down time of the year for everyone it seems. Just hang in there. It will get better.

kcmama, was it you who mentioned about needing something LC and sweet? Don't forget those little cream cheese goodies. You just soften the cheese, mix sweetener in, a little cocoa to taste and peanut butter to taste. Roll them in balls and stick them in the freezer.

Lony....pictures of the doll clothes please......OH and maybe a picture of you eating that bowl of ice cream!!!!!

Deb....glad to see you back. I hope you are better soon!!
Mona....be careful with the blood pressure. Stress can sure send it up!!
Eliza.....I'm right there with you on the grazing and evening eating.
For some reason I feel like saying MOO....right now. Maybe it's the grazing part. I have never heard of the CLAP eating plan. Sounds interesting.

Hi to everyone I missed!!!!!!!!!

KC, 2 meals per day are very LC, the 3rd one is called a Reward Meal and you can have carbs in with your protein/fat/greens as long as the first through last bite you take fall within one hour. Then you have to stop. Not as many craving as one would think with the addition of carbs. Easier to maintain than your average LC diet. Would be perfect for maintenance.

I see some people talking about working out. I think at my size it might be deadly. LOL Any suggestions (other than walking of course) re things you've found easier to do. (I have two bad knees and one bad back - I'm sure they'd both be bad if I had two backs.)
Thanx
Rhonda

Good morning! A rainy morning here. Hope the commute is easy, and hope I get out of work on time with no after school meetings because it is my birthday. Not that we are going out on a work night or anything.

Let's have a wonderful day today!

Rhonda!

I'm thinking water exercise. Exercise bike comes a close second.

Funny comment about your back , I feel the same about mine.

Good Tuesday morning everyone!!!!!

Hi Rhonda and Welcome!
I agree with Eliza. If you have not done water aerobic with bad knees just let me say you are going to love it!! It feels so good on your joints. My dr. sent me yrs. back and it really helped. As far as a bike goes now that is something I can't do. For some reason my knee won't allow me to go around at the high point. It causes me horrible pain. You may do fine with it. You can google and find a lot of exercises you can do with just sitting down also. Good luck!

Good morning. My prayer meeting was canceled which is good since I was poking around at home this morning and didn't get here till 8:30. I folded some laundry and put it away, did the dishes and took out some boneless chicken for tonight.

What about chair exercises? Do you have dvds? I don't know how much you weigh nor how short/tall you are but there are exercise programs for Seniors that could be helpful getting started. Good luck!
