I like this, thanks.

I have been trying IF for about a week now and am down 4 lbs. i don't want to hold my breath though. I will know it is working after a couple of more weeks and watching what I eat in my window.

Hi everyone,

I have been MIA again because after I left my dad's in Oregon, I went to my mom's in Arizona. I didn't exercize at all. It is so hard to get back into the groove of things.

I am going back to my dad's at the end of June and I told my husband we have GOT to walk on the beach everyday. We are going during the kite festival. I love seeing all of the huge kites in the air.

Congratulations to all you losers!

I came across a thread that started back in 2009 and it went 71 pages until it was closed for size. A new thread started for 2011 and ran thru the end of 2011. Then in 2012, there were two threads each for six months. Then this one seems to be the most recent from the ongoing saga of those that were once in the Century Club and/or still are.

Even though I have lost my weight, I still come back to the Century Club because it is where I started and will always be connected to.

Each day is a new day and we each get a chance to start over if need be. I thankfully start fresh each day like a new breath of fresh air.

I am only one bite away from the food hell I lived in most if my adult life and the only protection is to take this one day at a time, starting fresh each day, each meal. I need to break it down into its smallest components. So I plan each day in the morning, write the plan down, prepare the food (sometimes on the weekend before) so that I am prepared, then weigh my portions to make sure I get enough. I love to eat and don't want to feel deprived. I know without a doubt that I get enough.

How is it going with you all?

I was on vacation to Florida for two weeks and my second son has been back; I dropped him off at the airport yesterday. Yesterday was D day for me. I ate like crazy on vacation and was surprised that I didn't weigh more than I do. I weighed in at 256.3 yesterday. Friday a nurse is coming to do a mini check up for life insurance (oh, yea ) blood draw and so on. Not looking forward to that.

I am trying a tomato juice concoction that I read about on the Fat Flush site, Metabolism Booster. Parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, turmeric, cayenne pepper, olive oil and other stuff is in it. It is pretty tasty and spicy. I had one yesterday and am starting today off with it. Fatflush hot metabolism booster. Today I weighed in at 253.6, YIPEe

My son is getting married Nov. 30 in Florida so I am going to get some weight off before then. At least that is what I am telling myself. I certainly do NOT want to go back there this heavy and I don't want to be that fat of a mother-of-the-groom. Finding a dress for my wedding a year and a half ago and about 20 lbs ago was bad enough.

We are still chilly here in Iowa. It is rainy again today and about 60 or so. I am running around with a sweatshirt and sweatpants on. Of course, that has been my typical attire when not working since I don't fit into anything else.

I promise to post more regularly (I know, you have heard THAT before LOL). Since I am off work though, it shouldn't be too difficult. Since moving into this house in February though, the computer is in the basement and not on the main floor as it was with the old house. I use the iPad more often on the main floor here at this house instead. Low Carb Friends can still be accessed on the iPad though, Duh.

Anywho, I will stop for now and hopefully you will see me post tomorrow. Toodles.

The tomato juice concoction, HMB, is good, but I tired of it the 2nd full day. Supposedly you are supposed to follow the plan for 5 days. I couldn't do it. I still have some in the refrig of which I will use up but I AM still sticking with low carb items. I am trying to limit my dairy intake though which is omitted heavily in the Fat Flush plans.

I weighed in today at 252.8 so the scale is heading in the right direction.

I am still eating the same old meals that I have been eating since 2003 with the exception of 7 weeks where I tested the water and ventured out on my own, only to regain 32 lbs which I have since lost. It was scary going out and trying to eat like a normie. I am and never will be normal around food, I accept that. So I weigh and measure 3 meals a day with nothing in between except water, coffee, tea or diet drinks...without exception. I write the food plan down on paper, call my committed meals into my sponsor and trust that God will give me the courage the do what I committed to. It is a promise to myself and I am teaching myself that I can trust me.

Mary, do you go to OA or some affiliate there of?

Winifred, how are you doing?

Liz, Teresa?? Anyone else out there?

I am trying some infused water I found on a FB page that touts Skinny Fiber supplements. I am not buying into the product but the water isn't bad. Cukes, grapefruit, mint leaves ( of which I don't have and used a tea bag), and mandarin orange of which you can't find now.

OK Tony, I stepped off and on the scale this morning. First step on was 250.1 the next 4 weights were 246.2 each time. I will take that number gladly I probably should determine one day of the week as weigh in day in order to change the stats on the profile. How about today, Friday? Doesn't mean I won't weigh in between, this will be for recording purposes only LOL.

On plan, nothing more to report right now. Rain is in the forecast AGAIN, tired of it.

I always wondered myself what IF was. Now I know.
Vicki, it's an affiliate.

Tonight we went out to dinner at an italian restaurant. I packed up my salad, made a wheat germ cookie and brought 4 oz ckicken. I forgot my scale back at the hotel room. My son told me to do whatever I needed to do. So I talked with the waiter and he was able to weigh out 8 oz cooked veggies. They were quite good. I packed up the chicken he brought me and used what I had already weighed out. It all worked out. I am still abstinent and grateful and committed to this program. I am blessed today. God is good.

I saw my niece,Pauline, her husband, Rob, and two kids at dinner, with my son, DIL and 4 grandsons. 11 at the restaurant. They have a kid room with kid sized picnic tables and a movieplaying (Toy Story) for them They have their own waitress. The kids loved it.

Winifred, are you still around? How is your program going over the last couple months? Call any time if you want to talk

We had 10 people for Father's Day yesterday. I served deli meat and cheese sandwiches, veggies and dip, chips and someone brought pineapple upside down cake and brownies. I indulged in chips and dessert. What can I say. No bread for the sandwiches though. Although I doubt that was offset by the dessert LOL.

On plan thus far today.

Weighed in yesterday at 251.6, see stats. I changed therapists a few weeks ago since I had been with the previous one for 6 years or so. I didn't feel I was getting much anymore. I am sick and tired of having to deal with diet and food issues. I apparently have other issues as well and I started DBT therapy on Thursday and will be going every week for 14 weeks. You can google it to see what it is. I sure hope it helps.

Hi Bella---I'm hanging in there, trying to get my life back on track. On an up note, I just painted my toe nails for the first time since I was a kid! Apparently there must be some special skill needed to do this because mine look like a kid did them! How are you doing?

Hi Vicki---just read a bit about DBT, interesting. I hope it's successful for you and brings you the peace from dealing with diet and food issues that you are looking for!

VICKI....I'm glad to see you posting too! I've never heard of DBT therapy but I sincerely hope that it helpful for you.

I had several good months of weight loss from January to May. I hit low weights I haven't seen in years. Then, for some reason I just veered off track. I haven't weighed in over a week which is always a bad sign for me.
So, I'm determined to get back on track and not let a slip become a major slide.

Liz--- get on the scale and don't let it spiral out of control! It's so not worth it and so hard to get back on track.

Vicki--say whatever you want. Perhaps that will help you find the answers that you seek. It's worth a shot anyway.

Typing with one hand as I have a lap full of fluffy ones who are fighting for my attention.

Slowly trying to pick up the pieces of my life. The eating/weight suck but they're just symptomatic of other crap I'm sure. I used to have a secretary who would always say "inch by inch, anything is a cinch." I'm trying to say that over and over in my head when the big picture gets too overwhelming...sometimes it helps, other times...meh. But sometimes is better than never.
