12/31....245.6....At least I had a small loss for the month. December is the worst month for me.

I have adjusted numbers...bought a new scale yesterday... however, I did KEEP my pounds lost, I just adjusted my beginning weight to accomodate.. I figure had I actually bought a new scale when I should have (years ago...:rolleyes) I woulda weighed that number *then*...love my logic? :D.. my old scale is ancient old, I just realized this last night :faint: .. Anywho, new one weighed me a lil over 8 lbs MORE than the old. :cry:

Onward!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

I have been WAY OFF plan since around the 21st. I'm actually starting all over right where I started November.

1/2: 251.3

My only goal for January is to get back in the 240's and stay there. Tax season starts TODAY which means at least 68 hour work weeks (usually much more) for me until April 15. I did some prep work last night and froze some low carb lunches to at least get me through this week, then I'll make some more on Sunday (my only day off each week) to get me through next week. I'm going to continue to weigh in everyday, and hopefully that will keep me on plan.


ETA: I ended the year with a about 25 lb loss since late June! I took in a couple of my "work shirts" yesterday, by about 2 inches so they will fit better. I'll probably do the rest of them this weekend! WHOHOO!

This is the same weight that I posted on December 24, which was my last "official" weigh in (because I was off work). I'll take it, but boy, I have work to do!

And, after contemplation, rather than give a specific goal, mine is simply to lose weight. If I get too specific, I'll start to tweak on it, be hard on myself, and it will have an adverse effect.

*Shakes head* I don't know what the heck happened. Well, I do. I ATE on New Years Eve! But 5 lbs overnight? Wow. Hope its just fluid. Was back on strict LC today so I know the numbers will come back down in a few days. Thats a wake up call fo sho tho!

Terri, you look FABULOUS in that dress! OMG. As my mama would say....."I bet you was a struttin like a bannie rooster!". You totally rocked it! I can't believe how good you look.

Phranquie, welcome to the thread! Also, am I reading your stats right? You have lost 101 lbs since July? I noticed it was a 'restart' date but I was wondering if you started at 325 back in July? Your weight loss each month is astounding. Do share your secrets!

1/3: 248.5 :eek: Wow what a whoosh, and TOM arrived this morning, too!

I tried drinking lots of water yesterday, but I don't like tepid water. So today, I'm going to take an ice tray to leave in the freezer at work, so I can have ice water all day long. The ice I leave home with just doesn't last 12 hours. :hyst: I'm still not sure how I do. :p

ugh. wearing a heavy pair of jeans today. but that doesn't explain the pound. I've got to regain control. I didn't eat badly yesterday, I stayed within my window, but I'm still trying to get rid of leftovers, so I ate a bowl of Hoppin John. for those that don't know what that is, it's kinda like a gumbo made of black eyed peas, rice, and sausage. It is DELICIOUS and my mom makes this HUGE pot every new year. that was ALL I ate yesterday, but I guess it is too carb-o-licious for my body to handle. UGH I HATE this!

thanks for all the comps on the dress. It meant SO much to me to be wearing that on New Years!

Kali, Good going! Hope I can be in your shoes soon with the swoosh! Blondie, you and I are in the same boat! Let's hang in there, girl!

Kali, re: water at work: I put ice cubes and water into my 36 oz water bottle and keep it in my office fridge. True, the ice melts by afternoon, but it stays cold.

@ Zay- It is nice to see you again too.

@Blondie- I do moderate carbs and very low calories. I have thyroid issues and lose better this way. I am learning that my body works well with few calories, especially the older I get. I have always been able to lose well eating this way...I just have not kept the weight off because I have needed to deal with emotional/stress eating. I am now working through being aware of when I want to mindlessly eat. Last year I lost 80lbs and then this spring and early summer I ate non stop and gained it all back.
