Had my post op eye doc apt today. Everything is looking good. Pressure is good. Now - 3 more weeks till I get new glasses.

Then a run to K-mart. You know - it's the only game in town out here on the island - had to get new tennis balls for the dog. Just like a little kid - when she saw that ball - she was prancing around the lr and then playing soccer with it. She is very stylish - well for a little bit - her new collar is PINK and so is her new ball.........she has that ball all the time - like a security blanket - always hoping someone will throw it for her to chase.

Wanted to run by Safeway to pick up some zevia.......does anyone use it? Mona - did you at one time? I hope they have it - don't want to get started back on coke or pop. But - it would taste so good with a slice of pizza once in a while. Always a chore to do it seems. Forgot to stop at Walgreen too. That means I have to go back out tomorrow in the cold - ugh.

I made a Linda Sue recipe for dinner. Anyone ever try it? It's Cheesy chicken broccoli casserole. Made with ckd chicken breast, broccoli, a sauce of sour cream/mayo/garlic powder, ched cheese on top and bacon pieces on top of that. Really thought it would be more tasty. It looked so good though - picture perfect.

Watched Gabby Giffords this evening. She has come so far - and still has so much to do - breaks my heart for her - she had so much going for her. So much suffering in this old world. Then heard that a 15 yr old that marched in the inaugural parade was killed getting out of the rain and being shot...........sigh - so much sadness..........

LindaBinda...I usually buy 4 russet potatoes for sonny boy each week or enough to add up to four...but last week they had on sale 2 pounds of organic red potatoes, in a bag...2 pounds for a dollar...wait no that was 2 two pound bags for a dollar...,I said to the guy wow what a bargain,,..taco meat on top of that sounds awesome.....

I live for bright colors.....my next color is lime green !

I read good reviews about the Raspberry Keotenes on .....wait for it..... the Internet, so I picked some up not expecting much. So far, I am pleasently suprised.

Mona!! OMG. Love the new pic!! That is the best pet photo I think anyone has used on here yet! However. It is hard for me to take you seriously when you post anything with that photo. LOL It is to cute. Hard to take a happy, frisky puppy seriously. LOL

That is the weather we had here all day yesterday. Drove by someones house taking dh to work this morning and a tree had fallen over across the end of their driveway.I hope your electric stays on.

I made a yummy Sausage Potato Soup tonight!! DS and I are not really soup aficionados but even we liked it. Dh gave me the idea to add capers and wow!! That was a perfect added touch. I also made some garlic bread to go with. Getting ready to go make a batch of cookies for school lunches as we are completely out of cookies--even store bought. LOL

HMMM - KC - do tell - how much sausage did you use - this is new to me - and I do have some capers that I don't know what to do with. One of those times I saw a recipe and bought them - and for the life of me can't remember what recipe it was. Story of my life and cupboards. I am so glad that cookie smell is in your kitchen and not mine.......I am not very strong right now........darn M&M's being the culprit.

Yes I bought some zevia a few weeks ago. In fact I forgot about it. I got grape flavor and regular cola flavor. The grape was good...but it was clear and I was surprised it wasn't purple. haha. The cola flavor I could really taste the stevia so I probably won't get that flavor again.

I'm not going to have to go get my SIL. His trucking company is sending a truck to get him. I hope that means he gets to keep his job. I baked oatmeal cookies, rolls, and strawberry brownies to mail to my boss for his birthday. He hasn't been to the office since Christmas. The only thing I tasted was the strawberry brownies because I had never made them before. I won't be making those again.

Linda and Sue, my husband is not going to have to have glasses. He can read just fine without them. Lucky dog!!

Lucky that sounds like good news about your SIL. How come your boss has been out for so long?

In about an hour I need to get showered and dressed and head to town for my physical therapy appointment. I'm cutting out some coupons now. I thought maybe I could at least hit up a store or something. It's a long drive for just one 30 minute appointment. You know me, I like to get my money's worth! And that means for gas, too.

Linda, I used a 1 lb. tube of Jimmy Dean Sage sausage. I actually typed what I did into a file I keep in Google Docs so I will remember it next time I want to make it! PM me your email address and I will send you my recipe if you like. This was a bit reminiscent of Ajiaco which is a wonderful soup they make in Colombia.

He told me on Tuesday that we would do it on Wed and then he didn't even come in. So I came in today and all my desk stuff was moved to the outer desk. The only bummer is it doesn't even have a center drawer. I lost a bunch of space. Oh well, my desk is all organized now. It took me about an hour to set it all up. I still need to find an extension cord for my heater and my fan. Other than that, it's ok.

hi all SIGh well another mistake happened last night, the computer didn't log ken out for lunch when he clearly saw it say PUNCHED he went to his shift boss and told them and they looked at it and said you came to us right away we will tell them that tomorrow but i KNOW tonight is the night they fire him he does too one of the other workers looked at him and said it really does look like they are trying to fire you
