Lony...I just watched Paula and you can see the 30 lb. weight loss. She is looking nice. The one thing that is different in the photo is it is air brushed. She has no wrinkles. In real life she does!!! She is so cute wrinkles and all.

Question ladies...........

How do you fix fresh asparagus? I have roasted it, steamed it, even fried it. Recipes? Ds got a huge bag of it. Help..........

Fast food - all this talk of fast food..........I was really glad that we're 8 miles down on the island, but I was sure thinking bout getting some big time. Thankfully laziness won out and I decided to stay in - roads weren't the best today either. Never had an in/out burger - but I've sure heard a lot about them. Someone mentioned Church's.......Melinda - was that you? So good, so many of them - and the smell as you drive by them? Now you know why I'm in the shape I'm in...........even the smells make me gain.

Morning Ladies!

Another mild morning here. Have fixed lunches and breakfasts and am now back from the bus stop. Waiting for the water to warm up from ds' shower.They get in there and don't come out until the water turns cold, I swear. I will be setting up the dessert bar for the faculty and staff today around noon. It is early release and I will also be picking up youngest and two friends to go comparison shopping at JoAnnes, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart. They are working on their Girl Scout Silver Award and have decided upon making Medical PLay Dolls for our local Children's Hospital. I still need to shower and pick up the house myself because I am sure they will probably end up back here at some point this afternoon!

Got a call from the team phsical therapist yesterday. She doesn't think ds14's ankle is healing the way it should and there may be a break the xrays didn't show. She said if by the end of the week, it's the same, we should go back for more xrays. UGH

Yep, Chewie, that is what they told us about ds' wrist. If there is a hairline fracture it often doesn't show on the first xray. Later as the bone is healing or the fracture gets a little bigger then it will show up. He must have a high pain threshold.

That's exactly how I feel when it rains here......I go outside and stand in it before it disappears....often when it does rain here...it rains at night and I miss it! I hate that.. We had rain a few days ago...it was lovely...having a chilly morning eh Melinda...my feet were freezing all night...had to get up and take a hot shower so I could go back to sleep...

Yeah, Chewie, it has been really really slow around here lately. I don't have the wit and charm needed to keep the thread going as do you, Lony, and Melinda and Deb it seems. I just got a text from youngest saying she has to stay after school. I don't know why as today is Early Release and I will be up there anyway for the teacher food set up.....hmmmmmm. There shouldn't be any musical practice and the teachers have to go to in service stuff. It is a mystery I guess.....

I will get down to business.. I just want to say good morning...and I need your prayers big time.. no thankfully not for an illness...but for my husband's JOBS...yes JOBS.. they are screwing them so badly that it is now affecting the 2nd job.. and now on Thurs the Union is coming in, as it has been called a hostile working place... today my hubs has a meeting with his boss and the higher boss.. but the higher up boss loves his boss..so he doesn't think anything will be done.. yesterday and today my husband looks terrible and his feeling awful.. I told him I didn't care if we lose the house and we lived in a room as long as he is healthy but that went over like a lead balloon... yes he loves his dogs...the ones that threw up all over my living room....The Employees who called the union rep in... said they did not want the higher boss in this meeting.. they fear he is going to protect her as he always does.. my hubs isn't the only one who is getting screwed.. one guy has custody issues.. so for the past 14 years he has had Sun and Mon off to be with his children and he got screwed over two.. it's just that they can adjust a little better because they don't work a second job.. but you know some people work different hours for different reasons... you know like child care, or school etc....My husband was pale and he was shaking this morning.. and my heart is just broken.. because you know they say oh work hard and all good things.. well that isn't ringing true for us.. so anyway that's my vent and rant and all I am asking is for some prayers...he is hearing now from the night job too...you know all these people profess to love my hubs and working with him is fantastic cause he isn't lazy etc etc and yet this is the thanks he gets...

Well I am going to get coffee and start walking...I did 9 minutes already... and I have to stay away from food.. I have put on 3 pounds this week and I have to stop it...why hurt me.....
