Hahaha Deb you need a coffee pot like I have. It is a drip coffee maker that fits over a burner on a camp stove! I WILL have coffee come heck or high water.

Last night, dh made meatballs out of ground chicken. We've never used it before. I found an Asian sauce for it and it was really good. DS14 thought they were beef. LOL

Chewie....I guess it just worked out this way. They didn't plan it. It's strange because the house has been for sale for months and only 2 people have looked at it. All of a sudden someone looked at it and wanted it a.s.a.p.

So some kid made a statement in our jr. high hall way yesterday that he was bringing a gun to school to shoot people. A kid went home and told his mom so of course she calls it in to the police. They have it all settled and determined it was just a kid talking but they have extra police there today and the kids are scared. Some have called home crying asking their parents to come get them. What a shame to have to live like this. I recall being brought up in a small town and I am guessing a lot of the pick up trucks the kids and teachers drove had shot guns in them. No one would have ever dreamed of hurting anyone with them. They were for hunting. With all the crazy people in this day and age our freedom is just being sucked away. It's sad.

Hey All!

The weather has been really nice here today. 50 degrees almost no wind. Dh and I did a few errands as he is off today. I just finished vacuuming downstairs. Need to go through the mail but think I will take a break and call my dad back instead.

Chewie, congrats on the new nephew. Was he a Csection baby? Is he the first for the parents?

Melinda, sorry to hear about your leak. Is it from the roof? What kind of roof do you have? Is it asphalt shingles or tile?

Kcmama... I am not sure..it's not wood shingles.. it's those black squares.... I wish it was tile.. boy...I don't know what we are going to do.. but unfortunately can't do a thing but keep the bowl there..

As much as I hate to say it someone is going to have to get in the crawl space above the house and see what the heck is going on up there.

Asphalt shingles are placed on your roof over tar paper. Is the leak in the middle of the room or at the edge??

Maybe it can just be patched? Sounds like asphalt tile to me. That is what we have. Have you had any hail storms lately? Could it be hail damage? I know lots of folks who had to have their roofs replaced due to hail damage--most were covered by their home owners policy. Ours was fine.

I was going to work on my scarf but I don't have a 42" circular needle. All I have are 29 and 36. My yarn is too chunky so I have to have a much longer set.

I didn't renew it....and they made it cleat no roof coverage...used to be a great insurance plan until they divided it up in different tiers of plans...so for years now I have been forking over cash for a useless policy...they never told us of the changes. Pisses me off..
