aww well Deb...I think it keeps the kids busy and they stay out of trouble..and he enjoys the drama stuff.. so its good for him...there were days when the school was off but they still played the football game and basketball game.. what a pain.. but he like Steven, enjoys the drums, as Steven enjoys the plays...

No, I don't! I swear I have friends who do tons more than I do. I am lazy by nature and have to push myself to get stuff accomplished

My dh has been washing the cars today. I managed to use the car long enough to go meet my son at the Eye doc for his annual appt. His vision has not changed, fortunately, so we ordered our year's supply of contacts. He left with the paper shades as they dilated his eyes. I pray he doesn't get into an accident. He said he could see fine.......

I am going to be heading out here in a bit to go pick up youngest and stop by Aldi for a couple of items I forgot yesterday. I am in the mood for something creamy and thinking perhaps youngest won't mind a stop at Freddy's or Sonic?

I participated in a few neighborhood things but then stopped last year. I don't like them---they are all stuck up, keep up with the Jones' type of people and I just couldn't be bothered. This year I didn't even get an invitation to the neighborhood ornament exchange/brunch. I told ds "who cares?" so he didn't think anything of it but it really bothers me. I have no friends here and feel so freaking isolated. I should have never moved here.
What is up with that? Why would she even tell your son that? What was her point? I know, even though you don't really care to be a part of their group, it still kinda hurts when you hear something like that. I am sorry, Chewie. We think you are great and it is their loss!!!!

Just up from my 30 minute nap. I read for quite some time. It was nice just relaxing. It's in the 50s now and I have the windows open. Later I'll have the fire going but it's nice to have some fresh air. I'm having a cup of coffee with sf DaVinci Kahlua in it and then I'm hitting the treadmill. I still have to shower and get my tookus to the store. I'm just being lazypants today. My eggplant is all ready but I have no mozzarella or sauce. LOL At least the hard part is done though---and it'll take all of 5 minutes to put together.

Awww, you're very sweet. I have no idea how or why she told my ds that. I'll have to ask but I don't want him to get upset about it though.

Italian Layer Bake
Italian Layer Bake is a Mediterranean delight. This recipe
features layers of Italian meats, peppers , and bubbly
cheese under a golden crust. Mmm!
Serves: 6
Cooking Time: 40 min
What You'll Need:
1 (8-ounce) container refrigerated crescent rolls
8 slices deli turkey (about 1/2 pound)
8 slices deli ham (about 1/2 pound)
12 slices deli hard salami (about 1/2 pound)
8 slices Swiss cheese (about 1/2 pound)
1 (12-ounce) jar roasted peppers, drained
4 eggs, beaten
What To Do:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Unroll crescent roll dough without separating triangles. Separate
dough into 2 squares along center cut line.
2. Place 1 square of dough into an 8-inch square baking dish; using your fingertips, press dough to
fit bottom of dish.
3. Layer with half the turkey, ham, salami, Swiss cheese , and roasted peppers. Pour half of
beaten eggs over peppers and repeat with remaining meats, cheese, and peppers.
4. Place remaining square of dough over peppers. Pour remaining beaten eggs over dough and
cover lightly with foil.
5. Bake 20 minutes, remove foil, and bake an additional 20 to 22 minutes, or until golden and
heated through. Let cool 15 to 20 minutes then cut and serve.
ya know i think those and those funeral sandwiches might be good for superbowl

Yes, I am an accounting person. I do a lot of accounting at work and for our farm. I also do some of my son's accounting and he farms a lot more than we do. I am self taught on all computer programs, because I am too old to have learned it in school. I enjoy the challenge. I never had any trouble keeping up, but since I added my aunt's, I sometimes get behind.

Phew, cooling down. Did 20 minutes on tm and then decided to try the bike. OMG---it was much harder. DS18 has the tension set hard and I did 5 minutes and went 1 mile. LOL It said I only burned 20 calories. That was a lot of work for 20 calories. Oh well, at least I tried it and got in more exercise.

My surgeon said that the first 15 minutes of cardio only burns what you ate that day and then after that starts burning the fat so he said you have to do at least 30 minutes or more a day. I don't agree cause I sure don't eat that much but I'm doing the most I can right now and increasing my speed everyday plus today I went 25 minutes. That will increase too as I gain more endurance.

Deb--good job on getting back on the bike. I know it's hard. I just can't let this "honeymoom" period pass me by without the best effort to lose as much as I can. I didn't go through this major surgery to just do so-so.
