Thank you so very much. It looks pretty simple, which is good because I am a lousy knitter.

Yes, I know. He told me now that's he's 18 and we have a beautiful yard and pool, he wants to be able to feel good about himself and have friends over, plus get a girlfriend. LOL He's a big guy so he won't ever be skinny but he can sure tone up and lose some fat.

Good morning. Slept terrible last night and that was with no nap and new exercise. WTH????? Anyway, was up to take ds14 to football---he's home cause he hurt his back at after school practice yesterday. He didn't tell me till later when he had ds18 bring him some tylenol and ice pack. GRRRR They were doing dead lifts with heavy weights. Stupid kids always try to outdo each other and now he's hurt. I don't know if we should go to the dr or not with this one. I'm hoping some rest time and ice will help.

Oh and my back hurts today too. I'm thinking it's from the new walking but it also could be the not sleeping--tossing and turning. Who knows?

Deb--fingers are crossed for Steven.

Melinda--hope you're feeling better today.

Sue--Eli is too funny.

KC--you're always such a busy beaver.

Eliza--miss you sweetie. HUGS

Deb, I rushed right over here after I read about the shooting at an eastern KY university. I kept thinking of you sitting in the parking lot. If Steven gets the part, couldn't you sit in the library while he has practice? Fingers crossed for him.

Chewie.. Congrats on your treadmill.....I need to get started back walking myself.. I had gotten up to an hour a day.. but I don't know now....Can I ask you something.. when you say Da Vinci White chocolate syrup.. do you just pour it into your coffee???

I have some flavors that hubs bought me but it tastes like alcohol to me.. but I will definitely be looking for it at the Smart N Final.. they have tons of flavors.. but not a lot of sugar free...

yeah I was just there buying a 40 pound bag of dog food.. which by the way Walfarts has a 50 pound one which is better for us.. and I looked at them and there was 7 sugar free flavors and the rest of the 2 shelves was regular.. but I will go back and check again for the white chocolate....even if it has sugar I will check against my WW points....

Come on Lonykins, let's go have a cup of hot chocolate...

I have 3 bottles in my house that sits in the cabinet.. wonder if I need to toss them.. feel bad. but I never could get past that alcohol aftertaste.. maybe the regular one would be better...

Linda...girl I bought those sweat pants before the cold hit here... and they were hard to get on...and I felt so squeezed in them.. but then I lost some bloat weight and it was easier to get on.. but boy they were worth the 9 bucks.. because I really needed them this week and last...I bow to my pants...

however it's way too much clothes for me.. and I am ready to hang them up!!!!!

Good morning ladies...
I just watched an old show with Oprah on type 2 diabetes. She had dr. Oz on. They went over just what it does to the body before you ever know you have it. Belly fat is the real danger. If you lose the belly fat you can reverse the condition. Oprah's personal cook was on also. He found out that he had it and lost 85lbs. in less than a year and shows no trace of diabetes now. They said they think one reason people will not take it serious is because unlike a tumor or cancer diabetes progresses slowly and you always think I will do something or change tomorrow. Most don't before it is to late and damage is done to other organs. It was a good show. Very eye opening. It runs on both sides of my family and yet here I sit over 300 lbs. I really need to educate myself better on it. Who here has type 2 diabeties? I'm betting a lot of us do and we don't even know it. My sister found out she had it when she had a stoke . She has to take shots now. When the dietitian gave her the eating plan it blew me away. I thought it had way to much starch such as crackers, potatoes, breads etc. I know there are different diets people follow. Some follow a LC diet which sound safer to me. Anyway, it really put me to thinking. Maybe that is a good thing!

Sue my hubs has Type 2 Diabetsis..and remember when even on medicaiton his sugar went over 250.. I told you his mother died from that horrible disease.. it's terrible what it does... she was legally blind.. on dialysis.....shooting insulin....etc etc...anyway I got very scared along with him and I put him on Atkins.. and the only thing he was allowed to eat off Atkins was fruit.. the doctor told him that she doesn't think he needs to worry about fruit and he friggen ate a truck load of nuts.. but that was it.. and he went from like 305 in Feb to 249 in Oct.. last year of course. and his sugars, when he tested here was down to 93, 96, 98 etc etc....now he has gained most of it back...

You know when you lose that motivation and drive.. it's hard to get back on the highway of eating good again, until the next scare...

I think alot of these organizations are stuck on the food pyramid.. I don't think that every diet is good for everyone...and like Weight Watchers.. they still poo poo protein and full fat anything.. and I just don't think I want to go back to low fat products and non fat products which made me gain the most weight ever....

The problem is most of them are so narrow minded they can't fathom that not every human body functions exactly the same.

I read where one lady following her diabetic eating plan said it gave her cravings. We all know how that works! She sticks to a LC diet and does well with it. I know for my sister when we all saw her diet plan we had a fit. She finally told her to please stop bad mouthing it. She was going to follow what the dr. said. She did lose lots of weight. After 4 yrs. she is putting some weight back on I notice. Of course it is the same reason we all do. She is eating too much and not moving enough.
Lony, do you have type 1 or type 2?
