Dh made a huge Sunday breakfast: waffles, hash browns, eggs and sausage. I had a scrambled egg and about 1/2 a sausage. YUMMMMMMMM The boys loved it.

CHEWIE!!!! OMG I have got to tell you this story....so last week, I watched the playoff game with my son and his team is playing..this is last week not yesterday.. and I believe they had gotten behind.. and then his Ravens scored a Touchdown.. so I turned to my son, who had been grunting and groaning and moaning and everything else.. I am sure you can relate to that.. so I said OMG SONNY BOY WOW!! after his team scored the touchdown.. and he turned to me and said OK MOM I SAW!! So I said wow you are the meanest person ever to watch a football game with just wow.. so later that night.. his team won last week of course.. and he says to my hubs, boy mommy says I am mean to watch a football game with, can you believe that pops??? I said yeah ok, no more from that mouthy bunch of attitude...so yesterday.. hubs was home...and he sat and watched it with us....and then later when hubs and I went grocery shoppng... hubs turned to me and said never again will I watch a football game with him.. that was the meanest and nastiest I have ever seen of anyone while ever watching a game...and he said no more Melinda...and I said see I am not crazy..

I literally was saying to myself OMG Please Denver win...cause he was just way too nasty.. and then he got mad cause he was reading the blogs and people were angry that the Ravens won.. and he started aww what a bunch of this and that and cry babies.. I said listen Sonny Boy you are worse than anyone of those people on the blogs times 1 million and he just froze in his tracks... and then pops said yeah seriously never again will I watch a game with you... well he means his Raven playoff games.. my GOD.. that was worse than sitting thru a dog fart...

But the officiating in the game was terrible and Mr Manning did not have a great game like he does and neither really did Mr Flaco of the Ravens, in fact I think Mr Flaco sucks.....Look at the score.. Plus Denver was lucky cause what's his name ran back 2 for a touchdown.. I think with out that the Broncos would have lost anyway.. but don't tell your boys!!!

Mona.. I hope you feel better soon.. and yes I made chicken that way as well and had the same problem..why do pictures look better than it really comes out...it is 30 right now for us.. but you know being from here that is out of the ordinary temps for us...but I am making a couple of chicken dishes today and I need to cook chicken to flake up the chicken for my dishes and it's been cooking for an hour. hoping it heats up the house some.. I know in the dead of summer, it sure does...

Melinda---I'm lucky as my ds hoops and hollers when good things happen. Although when things are bad for his team, he gets mean too. LOL We high five every time something good happens and if I don't yell, he tells me to. Yeah, the officiating was ridiculous---so many fouls but it was a good game.

So I have been really melancholy the past few days, no reason why, and craving a salt shaker.. and guess what?? TOM arrived.. jeese aren't I getting to the age where it's gone already...so my back is killing me and I am trying to sit and cook.. how weird is that... and I told hubs sorry I can't go out for any desserts today...jeese good thing I got my lemon curd and Mascapone Cheese...!!! LOL..

You know any other football game that does not involve his team is fine.. but OMG...they are playing next week and I may have to take a nap...Chewie LOL.. seriously my son springs up and stands on my area rug, like he is about receive the ball from the center and make a play...OMG if I was drunk I probably would laugh!!!

it is HOT here today! 75 degrees! and pouring the rain! i took all the fans to storage ugh but i sure wish i had one to turn on in here today! i was planning on meatloaf but i don't want to heat up the oven WHEW

I called in sick for work tonight. I have to take this medicine whenever my BP goes up over 150 and it's still doing that and the medicine makes me feel very woozy and tired. Don't need to be driving and doing important technical work under those conditions.

That crockpot BBQ chicken recipe didn't come out looking like the picture at all! It got all soupy. The pix shows this nice, thick sauce all browned around it. I swear they must've cheated and run it under the broiler--which is what I'm going to do. But first I have to thicken up the sauce...it's like a thin soup. I'm simmering it on the stove. Since the chicken wasn't done yet when we were hungry I made us some frozen fish fillets and fried potatoes.

I got my salads done.,..sausage balls done....and I baked chicken and deboned it....my short ribs just finished in the pressure cooker....going to make mini tacos with those....ruining good short ribs for tacos....

I made my cookie cups---they look beautimus. I also ended up having to make guacamole cause I had 4 avocados ripe. Dh was going to the market anyway so I gave him my list. LOL I just need to add the tomatoes and it's good to go.

It's too quiet here today. Where's Ms. Eliza? Deb?

WHEW we gathered up all the garbage (ken even put his back and neck brace from the accident in the garbage) and ken and Steven are taking it off while i am trying to cook some supper GAH it is sooo HOT i am pouring the sweat found a box fan under the stairs and have it hooked up in here sooo HUMID ugh have the window on the door cracked too can't believe they came to fill out heating gas yesterday and today i am dyiing for the air conditioner!

WARNING for all our new friends NOT LOW CARB AT ALL!!

{Funeral Sandwiches}
1 package of King's Hawaiian Rolls
1/2-1 lb. good ham deli meat
Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
1/2 c. butter, melted
3 T. worcheshire sauce
2 T. mustard
2 T. brown sugar
dash of onion powder

METHOD:
1. Cut the rolls in half and line the bottom of a baking pan with the bottoms of the rolls. Layer the ham slices, then cheese and place the top half back on.

2. Mix together the butter, worcheshire, mustard, brown sugar and onion powder. Pour the whole works over the buns, drenching each one. Cover tightly and marinade anywhere from 4-24 hours.

3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes,uncovered,or until cheese is melted and bun tops are a bit golden.

i think we talked about them in here before but you know me my mind can't remember where the bathroom is most days!

what kind of disaster have you got going on Melinda?? just mail me the dinner plate i won't be a bother seriously it sounds good! i cobbled up some sloppy joes and made a boxed jambalaya i found a monkey bread recipe i wanted to try and of course that meatloaf but i am not heating that oven up today! and UGH i hate to have to buy more hamburger!

My BP is moderately high but not dangerously high, and no more headache. I just need to get that medicine out of my system and I should be back to normal. Oh, to add insult to injury I also developed a very itchy rash from the medicine. Cortazone doesn't stop the itch and it's spreading! Geeze Louise!

I saw that recipe before Deb, it sounds really good! Unfortunately I don't have any of that stuff on hand. I have more chicken and one roll left for chicken sandwiches but they taste better when you toast the bun, and melt some cheese on top and I know DH doesn't have the stamina for that. He just needs to be able to put a plate in the micro and sit down and wait for it to beep. I am planning on getting DH on strict LC here pretty soon. If he can just take off 50 pounds I'll bet he will be feeling so much better.
