Ashley's Cavalier is fixed as soon as we get the idle set right WHOOHOO!!! got dark on us! had to replace all the timing gears and we didn't have any left over parts
AND my truck started perfectly today!!!!!!
helicopter people called and our insurance has denies=d the appeal
tassel guys said they will send out the correct charms right away!

Whoohoo!! There are some positives going on today!

Sorry about the helicopter folks. Have you also received all of the EOBs? What are the reasons for denial? Have you called the insurance company and spoken with someone yourself? Things can get coded incorrectly, etc.

they say it was an out of network provider like they had time to call in a in network provider for emergency life threatening conditions beside a coal tipple ! AND even on appeal they said the same thing

You know, Melinda, he has done the best he can. He is a smart boy and a good kid. He stayed out of trouble, he took AP classes to up his chances, he studied.You live in a very populated area and the competition is tough. Most college kids have to have financial support from parents and work their way through college to pay a good portion of their way. Compromises have to be made. That is the way it is for most families. As my mom always said though, "Where there is a will, there is a way."

But who knows? Your son may find after he goes away to USC that he can't afford it and he may switch mid year to a more affordable Community College for prereqs and move back home. You never know. So save yourself a stroke and wait and see what happens. Also, from my mom, "Worrying never solved anything." There is no going back now. It will all work out in the long run.

I am so sorry, Deb. You are right, of course. Who would have thought to ask if they were a provider before using them and then who would have waited for an in network helicopter in an airlift situation anyway?! Can you negotiate a discount on your portion with the helicopter folks? Explain your financial situation and ask for say a 25% discount if paid in full in cash. Then see if they are willing to negotiate with you. Anyone else have any ideas?

oh there is no way i can pay even 75% of 20K in cash! eek! yeah they sound really easy to set up payments with. she is sending papers. Ken says he is going to raise heck with the ins but i hold out little hope thanks for the suggestions though

KCmama, your right I love your perspective....I guess because I only have the one kid..I want him to do infinity times better than me....,as hubs was just saying to me, that in a few months he will be 18 and it will be up to him to find his way....he really is a great kid....I am blessed so far knock wood beyond belief...

As for the pants....well they are keeping my legs warmer..but it's too much clothes on and touching my skin....it's heavy....and I feel restrained..it's itching me like crazy.

It is disgusting and sadly even calling the insurance and raising heck is not going to do a darn thing. I breaks my heart to see things like this. I once had to deny a boy a wheelchair because their plan only bought one per lifetime and he got his when he was 3. Of course he outgrew it but nothing could be done. I was way too soft hearted to work in customer service for health insurance.

Good Morning Ladies!!! it's 5:54 am my time.. up since 3:33 am...took a shower, barely cause it is COOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!! and came out to a big fat mess that these two left me.. and I yelled and hollered so loud, it woke my hubs up.. GOOOD!!! so in less than an hour I am going to Walfarts....then will come home and wait for the football games.. as sonny boy's team the Baltimore Ravens are playing!!!

Speaking of which that reminds me of Linda.. and I hope your doing well.. and now I am going into the Sue's office to remind her that baby Layla is due today!!!

Dh liked the trout we had the other so much, he wants fish again tonight. Luckily, we have some cod frozen. It certainly isn't cheap but so delicious and good for you. Just that my boys have big appetites so it's not like I can make a pound here. I have to make 2+ pounds and that get pricey.
