Well, youngest and I would looooove the snow! I went out for coffee this morning with some friends and got home around 11:00. Oldest came in a few minutes later from her hair appt. and we got started outside taking down lights and decorations. Ok. Found my answer. Approx. 2,321 steps to equal 1 mile for my height. Of course that will vary depending on my actual stride length but it is an approximation.

I just saw that chart and posted my number then saw your post! Just imagine how many steps poor little kids are taking as their parents drag them everywhere. How many times have you seen kids practically jogging to keep up with their parents?

Kcmama...I swear... so about a zillion years ago.. my husband surprised me and took me to a Phil Collins concert...and I told my son when Phil Collins was singing In The Air Tonight.. before he got to the drum solo, you know which one.. the ta ta ta ta ta ta. anyway.. I said he real smooth and cool about it.. he was singing standing in front of his drum set.. and then he slowly goes over to the drums and everyone is just dying and yelling for it.. you know.. then all of a sudden he bangs away and phenomenal.. well my son told me I was wrong.. and he wasn't even there or a twinkle in my eye yet!!!!

OMG...I am SO jealous Melinda. I would LOVE to go to a Phil Collins concert. Lucky you!!!! I would also like to go see Neil Diamond. Now I say that but I would want on the front roll because in this day and age people find it necessary to stand up and also wave their arms around. I would like to just be able to sit and enjoy it. I know....I just sound so OLD!!! LOL

OMG Sue.. he took me to the Forum.. where the Lakers and Kings used to play along with everyone in concert...now it's the Staple Center downtown.. and anyway he picks me up from work.. and tells me, we are going to Inglewood, ca for the concert.. LOL...check this out.. it is Forum seating and the only tickets he could get on short notice was one row before the last row.. which was perfect.. I still could see fine...however how I hiked up those stairs was beyond me.. LOL!! Now i would need a tank and a crane..

I hear Neil Diamond puts on a heck of a concert, when he is out here, he sells out in minutes I swear...

Reuben Dip
Adapted from Family Circle Magazine

1/2 pound diced corned beef
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup sauerkraut, drained well.
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
Cocktail Rye Bread

In a medium bowl, combine corned beef, cream cheese, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, sour cream, ketchup and mustard. Spoon into a greased, 1-quart baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly. Serve warm with rye bread.

I think you would just use it as a dip to take to a party or such. You would just use snack items I would think with it. I would change the rye bread. I do not like those horrible tasting little bugs...or seeds in the bread!LOL
