Hi Danielle!

I should probably elaborate on the challenge itself: In the first challenge, it was Crazymimi's idea to give herself, and us, a size goal rather than a weight goal. We loved the idea, and throughout the thread, we talked about fashion, too.

So, my goal will be to get down to a size 20. I'm in a snug (especially after this week!!) size 22. I was a 24+ at the beginning of 2012.

I'm IN! I am going to shoot for an easy **18** by the 4th of July. I'm in a 22 now though I can "fit" into some 20's. Woohoo! Size 18 jeans for 4th of July here I come!!!

I'm in, I'm in. I want to have to buy smaller summer clothes. Maybe size 12 from Kohls? I have some 16s and some 14 from there. I'm not sure about stating a size as the darned vanity sizing from different stores. But I want to have some new clothes to wear to a 4th of july bash that I haven't been invited to yet...or will be hosting...

In addition to new clothes, I want to get rid of the jiggle on my arms. I live in the desert and wear tank tops all the time and losing the 70ish lbs I've lost so far has really made my arms floppy. I ride bikes, but that doesn't do anything for my arms.

So, my exercise plan is to continue riding my bike and add some sort of weight training in. I have one of those shake weights that I want to do every other day for a month, then once a day for a month, then twice a day forever. I'll report back, because if I can reduce the jiggle it will be huge!

My eating plan is to stay the course. I've been eating around 20 carbs per day for almost a year. (If you take away the last week...argh!) I want to reduce the amount of dairy and increase the variety of veggies we eat at our house. Use my crock pot at least 1 time per week and make yummy yummy stuff that helps me lose.

And the last challenge was awesome for me. Glad you made this one, Susan!!

Sya_unit I have one of those shake-weight things too... never used it. I think I'll give it a try too because my arms are falling (like a lot of other things). ugh.

to the new ladies. We had such a good time last challenge, glad you jumped aboard!

Aside from the new size I'd like to be in, I really have a goal of getting fit. I really need to challenge myself with exercise because it is the one single thing that terrifies me. Exercise is something, once I get going I absolutely fall in love with it...it's the getting going that is scary... neurotic to say the least!

I just can't wait to be wearing "normal" sizes again..that feeling is so liberating to me!

I'm in!!!!!

So glad that Susan started this challenge. I let "life" get in my way for the New Clothes for Christmas - but this time I am all in.

I am back at a 26/28 so my goal is to be at a size 22 by July 4th.

My official restart is January 1st. I am going to work on cleaning out my pantry and fridge by then and restocking it with LC foods.

Susan - please keep up the what you are wearing. I think it is sooo interesting to know what others wear.... It gives me inspiration to get out of my "baggy" shirt routine. I am actually considering getting a dress

Cindylou, I've missed you and have been thinking about you.

Thank you for mentioning the what we've been wearing part! I've been on vaycay this week, so no work outfits. But, for the holidays: Last Friday night I wore my work outfit for a lodge overnight: Grey slacks, black long sleeve t, and maroon velvet blazer. I changed into my yoga pants, long sleeve t and Raiders sweatshirt for fireside lounging. Christmas with the family here at home was black slacks and green turtleneck.

DH got me a Lane Bryant gift card for Christmas, so I'll buy me something to celebrate my first 25 pounds lost, since there was no money to do so when it happened this summer.

I am on the fence about going back all lc while I JUDDD... while I don't entirelyneed to I tend to gravitate to alot of it..while I do that however, I am still having some carbs so... I dunno..need to think...

My wardrobe this past week: PAJAMAS!

I'm on the hunt for new tennis shoes.. not to work out in but just to wear.. thinking of just getting the New Balance walking ones..the ones that were supposed to help control your walk. I love my workout tennis shoes but they are U-G-L-Y

I want to join this challenge also.. I just need to figure out what size clothes I "realy" wear.... I have refused to buy any pants/jeans for a long time (unless they wore out then I had to) so I basicaly only have 2 pair of jeans and both are a bit baggy (woohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!) and all my shirts are Tshirts or realy baggy sweatshirts...Hmmm.. wonder if I can go by bra size???? I just bought a new bra and purposely got it a size smaller so that I would shrink into it..Not the cup size (THOSE never shrink) but the around the body size..

Hey new girls. I know hors, but welcome to the others. Funny, I don't know hors by her screen name...she is the only person that I think of as Alicia and not hors. I think of Susan as Passion and Danielle as Desert. Very nice. Very nice. Today I wore some blue jeans and tennis shoes (sparkly sketchers, yes...) and a brown shirt with copper metal doo dads around the collar. And my cal poly sweatshirt on top. I kicked the wall accidentally and hurt my toe. Don't think it is broke, just really tender. I've got an ice pack on it. And, to make you laugh, I was walking out of the bathroom after helping the hubs unwrap his arm after his shower because he is still covering it as he still has an open would and I just kicked the wall as I scooted over the space heater (!) in the bathroom. Can we get someone to heal before I have another incident??

Passion68 - im with you at a size 22 Lane Bryant - Its funny, I shoped there alot after losing 80p on LC and needed their size 14/16 which is hard to find. I was there the other day and well, since I gained the weight back looking at the 18/20s lol THINK AGAIN - ok 22/24 it is. Love that store.

Hi Invictus. Welcome!! LB has really quality clothes. Their skinny jeans were my favorite...but I am just a little too small to wear their stuff (I'm not complaining, really.). It is hard to figure out where to shop when your old standby doesn't fit. I'm working on it, I promise.

Oh, Danielle, it is purple and a little swollen. Hard to wear shoes. taking advil...passed on bike riding this morning. I did do the arm workout though. I felt the b u r n.

add insult to injury...I am dealing with that lovely little upper respiratory cold that everyone has.

I was just thinking about what sizes I have been at what weights over the years. My top half is smaller than my bottom half, and based on pants I usually change a size every 25 lbs or so in the 200s (or at least I did when I was younger...we'll see what happens now that I am in my 40's). I am currently a size 28 on the bottom, . I am still wearing some of my 30W pants though they are a little loose, thankfully. I would love to be a size 24 by July 4.

NYE..well...DH just informed me that we are going out. I am guessing for dinner and maybe a movie..I've been bugging to go see Jack Reacher so we'll see

I've discovered that I think I may need new bras.. I realized today when I got dressed that I've been fastening my bras on the very last (smallest) hook and see how I have room.. too much room. For some reason this makes me sad.

Oh Susan! Yum!! We had Taco Soup (me) and Pizza (the son). DH is working tonight. Thinks he will be home by 11 (we will see...they fired the coach and GM for the Cardinals...it could be a late night). I'll get up at 10:30 (I go to bed at 8 due to 4 AM wakeup call most mornings) and cook him his pizza and some spicy hot wings for me to share with him. Got a bottle of the bubbly at the last minute that I am going to surprise him with that. I'll have a sip or two...I got the kind HE likes and I don't like as much...LOL. BTW, I got TGI Fridays wings from the store and for 5 wings it is 3 carbs. Do-able for NYE for sure! Was going to get something sweet to top the evening off, but couldn't figure out what to buy and didn't want to cook anymore than I have to tonight. Oh, and I hopped on the scale for the first time since Thanksgiving. I gained 4 lbs since Thanksgiving and I am calling that a win. I haven't biked much (DH broke wrist, etc), birthday celebration, christmas week. I kept to low carb, but didn't watch my volumes as well as I usually do, and had 4 meals of planned off plan. So... I am gonna change my stats... and I am going to hike tomorrow! And bike Wednesday. And do my upper arm workout.

July seems soooo far away but its right around the corner, and so are our new cloth, and shoes, and accessories

Passion68: Stopped at the Lane Bryant Outlet the other day. I tell ya - my wallet is thinner than ever - lol - and I'm working on copying that.
Didn't find anything. Everything was 50% off and they had some really nice Jackets but all too short. I'm 5'11 so its difficult. I cleaned out my closet today to start the new year!!

2013 GOALS
be more grateful
lose weight
get thryroid checked
do C25K
do a Fitness Class
try Yoga
go to the Theater
go to Jazz/Blues event
get my house sold

Sya, I'd forgotten about wings! What a wonderful idea. And, whoof! Yup, I read about the firings. Hope all goes well down there.

Invictus, excellent job of cleaning out your closet! Sorry about the short jackets-I've got tall cousins and an aunt so I know clothing choices are sometimes frustrating. Your goals list looks great!
