Yes, I had some turkey pot pie last night. Probably about 1/10 of what I would normally eat. I do not have any hunger.

Good afternoon all. The sun is shining - but the wind is blowing. Supposed to be 40. Talked to my brother in Ohio last night - they have had 15" of snow since Wednesday. Bad blowing winds making the roads out in the country treacherous.

Dinner tonight is cheese fondue, steamed broccoli and cauli, French bread cubes, ham cubes and whatever else I can get anyone to eat out of the fridge. For a sweet dessert, oranges/banana/pineapple chunks.

What's on everyone's meal plan for New Year's Day? It's sauerkraut, pork sausage, pork chops and brats, smashed taters and dumplings here. Making a very small apple dumpling too.

Have to go to anesth. for a pre op apt tomorrow for cataract surgery in Jan. So, it's over the bridge to Annapolis I go. Wish I didn't dread doctors so much - sure would make things easier.

Ok - on the creamed spinach - isn't it just a lil garlic with butter - let it willt - add hwc or half/half? What else do you do if anything?

I'm off to the shower. Then nap time. I wish we weren't having the parents over today. I'm feeling lazy like a slug.

N.Y.day dinner is pork roast, sauerkraut, hoppin john w/rice, salad, rolls and something for dessert. I've been purposely making/getting desserts that I don't like, such as the blueberry pie for today. I like it but I have no problem passing it up. Right now I need to concentrate on getting my protein.

Same one every year forever: lose weight and get healthy.

FINALLY, this year, I might even be able to keep it. Never have before.

Anyway my husband's day job that BEYOTCH scheduled him for 3 graveyards this month and unfortunately, the way his night job is scheduled.. he is going to be working 24 hours straight... what kind of monster schedules someone like this...Maybe if you want a certain amount of people on each shift than you ask people who may want that shift permanently to do it...rather than pulling people off shifts like this....don't get me started.... what a moron...anyway..

Linda.. I hate New Years resolutions.. but I gotta really put my big girl Panties on and lose weight already.. keep up with my walking...I was going to starve myself down to get the Thyroid pills refilled...which is a must.. but I was going to ask for Diet pills and stuff.. and no losing weight has to come from me.. I am my own worst enemy....I have to stop blocking myself...I have to stop the self sabotaging....and important of all, as you know my son will be going off to college and that phase of my life will be over.. first I have to say so far knock wood.. I have done a pretty terrific job.. from the day I took him home, and watched my sister in law sit on my couch for 2 weeks straight..offering me advice and I told her I got it under control...until now...so if I did that well, I sure has heck can learn to treat my own self well too..plus that graduation is coming up.. so that's what I am going to think about... taking care of ME and figuring out what I am going to do the rest of my life....LOL!!! and with that...I made myself some coffee and dropped a few white chocolate chips in it.. LOL

This all looks so good Melinda. I don't know how you get this all accomplished in one day. That's a lot of work. Out of curiousity, just how big are the dishes anyway? I don't think I could get it all in my fridge - and I have a large fridge.

ACV can also help with weight loss. I have used ACV so much on so many health issues. My problem is staying with it long enough to do me some good.

I agree with the others....Melinda how do you cook all that in one day?

I don't make New Year's resolutions. When I was younger maybe I did...but I would never keep them so I just stopped fooling myself.

Well I'm taking my meds and getting ready to hit the sack.

Back from Walfarts and other shopping.

My New Year's resolution is, not surprisingly, related to eating. It is to be completely rid of food toxins that bring my health down....namely, wheat and grain products, high fructose corn syrup, sugars, legumes, and vegetable oils. All proven to have a disastrous effect on people's health. Let's see how that works out.

I was just reading yesterday something based on a number of studies.....if a person is malnourished as in lacking nutrients (an obese person like me can be malnourished), their body will drive them to eat tons more to acquire these nutrients, which results in eating a lot more calories. So I guess I should make a second resolution - to eat more nourishing foods and give my body what it needs so it doesn't have to continuously strive to ingest more and more food and binge.

How cool is that! No hunger! And I bet it's much easier to move around and do the day to day stuff at 32 lbs. less. Dancing the night away in that slinky dress is getting closer and closer!

Praying for your sonny boy to get better soon. Just keep up with the prunes/magnesium/stool softener and it will happen. Didn't the doctor say it may take a week or so for things to regulate.

It sucks that your hubs has to do 3 night shifts. And working 24 hrs. straight?!?! Who can do that, she should know better.
