I am NOT thinking negative or anything but I would like some opinions here..

If you lost your hair would you wear a wig?

If you had to have a mastectomy would you have reconstruction surgery? Wear a chicken cutlet? Just go all natural?

LOL I am having some struggles here.

SIGH my hair was always my best feature well used to be anyways soo i have thought of this myself i would probably rock the bald look (and get me some major cool geek hats

) IDK though when it really came down to it

no i wouldn't have reconstruction but for a lot of women their sense of SELF can be tied to those parts KWIM??

if i had both done i would just remain flat if just one probably would have a "cutlet" to balance in clothes

i got a question too could not taking my aldactone and taking that antibiotic make me super sleepy?? i can't tseem to wake up at all and i am usually LESS lazy than this??

Deb did you call your doctor about what meds you should stop taking? Not quiet sure what the big worry is if you have been taking both meds together for years and have had no side effects,

Debberdoodle, I have been looking up the two drugs and it is not life threatening. They just reccomend monitoring closely. You should continue to take both meds, or call your doctor and ask them. Stopping any long term med can cause some side effects that could be worse.

no i didn't they usually don't acknowledge when i call but i do need to cancel the appointment next week
yeah about having them for YEARS and YEARS and the original guy who prescribed them(i was already on the BP meds for years and he knew it) didn't seem worried my insurance quit paying for me to see him though so haven't been back there since 2009 i might just continue to take them like i always have

i already did between 2 and 4 pm, but as always got a nasty headache afterwards and had to take advil....don't know why I get headaches if I take a nap during the day.

It's snowing here! It's not going to amount to anything but still it's snowing!

It was snowing like crazy here too for a few hours. We got about 2 inches. It's gone now.

I did not feel well today. I came home, had a light lunch(one chicken wing) and then took a nap. I slept very hard for almost 3 hours and woke up feeling better. I wanted to go out to do some shopping but the snow but an end to that. Plus I feel a bit weak. I had some broth and just had some more protein, a cheese stick and piece of turkey. I haven't been getting in all my protein. It's very hard with such a small stomach now. I need to start doing a second shake a day I guess. Bleck.

Deb--feel better. I agree with Lony--take the antibiotics. Sleep heals your body so if you're sleepy, go with it.

Eliza--sorry about your headache. How'd you make out at the store? Did you ds decide on stuff?

Hmmm - no word from Melinda - or did I miss it? I thought I remember reading that ds got up - and said he needed to go somewhere.......thought that's what they were doing - whether to clinic or er.........prayers that all is ok with them.

You know Lony - everyone is different in their thinking. It really comes down to what YOU want to do to make you feel like you. I doubt whether I'd do reconstructive surgery - just cause I'm doc phobic and the less I have to deal with them the better. You sound like you did a good job dealing with your cancer, I, on the other hand don't think I did - probably still dealing with issues from it.

From everything I've gathered about you - and granted - it's just my thoughts - you are a very strong lady. You've experienced a lot in your life - and are a survivor. It comes through in so many of your posts.

Are you hair obsessed? You have beautiful hair - but - bottom line - it's just hair to me. Are you one to never go out of the house unless your hair is just so? Somehow I'm thinking probably not. I have natural curly hair - and I sure wouldn't want to have to start curling mine forever. Did you lose your hair before? I know we've not talked about it - but - did you do chemo and radiation?

So much for a quick answer, huh? Sorry - just got to thinking - and you know how that turns out sometimes. Motor-mouthedness ensues.

Lony...until any of us has to cross a bridge like that it is hard to say. I honestly do not know what I would do. Right off the top of my head I would say I would wear a wig......maybe. Of course those little do rag type of things are cute. My boss had a wig and those. Some times she wore nothing. She was 71 when she found she had breast cancer. I know she had planned for reconstruction but I'm not sure if she followed through with it or not.
At 71 I doubt that I would, but again who knows.
I think you need to get out of your little trailer and go do something fun with a friend. Find a movie, go shopping, anything to shut down your thoughts about this.

Whoa - another day of cooking............but - it is done - we had a very nice day - with too much eating AGAIN. And my fridge is starting to be manageable again.
