I don't remember what I did, it was a long time ago, but it was pretty easy. He needs to download the app through iTunes and that should give directions how to complete the setup process. I have it on my personal and work iPads and the app lets you change the background to sepia which is much easier on the eye. Also, the iPad is wider and lets you have a 2-page view on landscape, just like a real book.

As for words with friends, I'll start a game for us and send you the invite, it will wait for you when you get there.

Linda, I have recently gotten these to help with my back and neck pain and they are really helping. Thought I'd share. You never know what might help. Another thing that I heard of to reduce inflammation in tissue is DMSO, have no idea what that is.....

Thanks Eliza - I use the arnica gel - waiting for my order from amazon. Will look these up. Interesting the one says carpal tunnel even - surprising. I also ordered something called unkers - Amish inspired. There are so many things out there - never know what might work - or not.

Once you download them they are yours to keep forever, or until you delete them from the cloud. I've had some free books for over a year and they are still there.

I have amazon prime and I borrow books, now those I can get one per month and can't borrow another one from their lending library till I return the previous one.

Eliza - I've been reading lots of the reviews of the creams you mentioned. How in the world did you decide what to get? Or did you get one of each. I'm tempted to do that myself.

Aw - I want free books too that I don't have to go to the library to get. I have a hard time using the kindle, ipad, etc - due to having to hold them - my neck/shoulder just doesn't want to cooperate. I have the laptop and the desktop set up - that I have lots of support for my arms. I generally get books on tape at the library when I can.

I am not getting on the scale tomorrow. Don't know how I need to restrict my eating in the next few days in order to undo the damage of my careless eating.

Scary stuff out there. It's raining here - I think that's all they were calling for - hope it doesn't change.

lol - I had talapia and roasted broccoli and cauliflower for dinner. That erased all the fat and carbs I ate yesterday. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I am too afraid of the scales..........have not been good at all lately. Got to change that. Sigh - way easier said than done. I need a keeper - or better yet - a cook and I wouldn't be allowed in the kitchen. Portion control and calories in/out Linda - that's what it takes.

I just acquired them one at a time at different times. I have known about Arnica for a long time from my mother-in-law. The rest I got one after the other.....Each helps in a different way for me, and I'm definitely better with them than without, but no 100% effect, like complete removal of symptoms ...more like 80% or so, which is still good enough for me. I hate taking painkillers because I don't want to hurt my liver.

I agree about the negative effect of holding iPad and looking down for extended periods of time. I think that was the main culprit in the development of my neck problems. It terribly overstretches the back of my neck and now I get neck muscle twitching from it. My neck problems started with getting the iPad and surfing for hours sitting in a recliner and looking down as I hold it.

There is a free application for running kindle on your PC, I think Deb mentioned it. You can download directly from Amazon, can't post the link on here, but if you google it, you will find it pretty easily.
