Chewie I worked for this Church, Episcopalian Church..The pastor was the nicest guy ever.. we used to talk alot.. he feel in love with one of the church goers.. and they got married...and he decided it was time to leave...he told me that though he believes in GOD.. there were things in the bible, that was for everyone interpretation..things he didn't believe in either and it was a major conflict between him and the parishioners..so I was supposed to work the day shift and this beyotch was the morning shift... all I was supposed to do was sit and answer the phones..well she started coming less and less and here I was changing the Church bulletin board on the corner to making Sunday Bulletins....I even started to cover her ass in the mornings....well one day I am listening to messages from the phone machine, like I was instructed to do.. and I went too far and there was all these messages from people who were calling her a thief... one of them said that whenever there was a construction work to be done, she called her brother and the brothers bid was the highest on purpose and he always got the job.... well because the parishioners were an older crowd.. they didn't want to do anything to get any of the younger people in..which was another major reason Pastor Steven left....more control was given to this beyotch, because she made sure she only knew what to do and no one else...and one day her brother came in to do some work.. and he wanted to make a phone call.. and I remember this like it was 2 minutes ago.. even though I couldn't stand this beyotch.. I still was polite to her brother and asked if I could dial the number for him even as to not make waves...then I go on the computer for something and I notice, and yes I looked it was wrong of me, but I went into her personal folder and found that she had typed a note about me being rude to her brother and that note said things I would have never said...here I was in my late 40's.. and here she was in her mid 20's...and I knew the power she had over these elderly people.. so I bent over backwards to be nice.. but the note said otherwise and also.. the board members or whatever they were called would come into the office and ask where Cheryl was and I said I don't know..she made sure she went to the board and had me cut loose.. and alot of the ladies and gentlemen came in and said they know she was lying at the board meeting, but they were afraid to let her go because she was the only one who knew how to do certain things.. and on that job I was only getting paid a lousy 8 dollars an hour.. but for me I figured that paid for groceries.. I got F'D OVER real good on that job and I hope this Cheryl pays dearly for it....They loved the fact a Jewish girl would work at the Church..but Cheryl in my mind was a blackmailer....so I totally can understand how you feel.. I never thought that Church's or Temples would have this kind of crap.. but they do like everywhere else....
At my husband's day job.. the new manager finally did it and just F'ed over my husband's schedule, she scheduled him for 3 graveyard shifts on the days he works the night job.. which is supposed to end at 1am....now he has to leave that job at midnight to get back to the shelter by 12:30.. she knows he works a second job.. it was approved by them.. cause he has to have this paper signed yearly... that is just plain mean... NSV--you know how I thought I felt my ribcage is smaller? Well both MIL and my dad commented on it. That was nice especially from MIL who rarely says anything nice. It's almost like it makes her feel bad if someone else is good, kwim?

I'm home, jammied, and breakfasted.
![]() Stopped by the store after work so I won't have to leave the house. Got some marked down ground beef. I plan on making some taco meat and chili. Got 2 huge packages so I'll freeze half of it for maybe meatloaf or something else. Lynn hope you have a great time in Vegas! |

My boys just stopped in and are on their way shopping. They both need jeans and got some Christmas money so they're off. Hope they find some good deals. We're having one of their friends sleep over tonight. Back to the usual I guess. Was going to do leftovers but now might just get them some frozen pizzas.

So we got no snow either. I would have liked a few inches. Oh well, it'll be a long winter.

Yea and the "mark down beef" was $3.74/lb.
It's 93/7 though so at least it's got more meat in it and less waste. Normally I buy the 85/15 but they didn't have any and I really had my set on ground beef. Got the chili going in the crock pot and more beef browning for taco meat. I only had enough chili powder for the chili. But I'm saved because I found some packets of taco seasoning mix in the pantry. |

I started from scratch making my sweet potatoes. I used brown sugar and butter - never heard nor thought about adding cream to them. They were so good - melt in your mouth so tasty good. Linda |

My frig is so jam packed with food. And it's a big frig. Open the door - and all I do is shift things around. By the way - was it you that was using peach tea? Is it a true tea - or a bottled tea - was it snapple? Ever since it was mentioned, can't get the idea of peach tea - sounds yummy. Linda |

I'm not a fan of tamales. I don't like the masa part. It just seems doughy and has no flavor. I love most other mexican food though.

My son said to me.. GOD Mom you make so much food... but I guess we are such huge eaters, hubs and I.. that it never lasts long...!!I still have the 2 ribs from my prime rib.. and I am looking forward to the sweet potatoes/yams...but I ate tons of it yesterday so not too much left...
My son doesn't like to stay home anymore with friends.. he likes to go and jollypop with them...and it's ok... when I was in high school, I stayed home alot and was bored and had no fun.. he is having fun...The one kid Matthew is filthy rich.. I am just curious as to what he got.. what do the the filthy rich give their kids.. he already has the latest Ipod, Iphone, Apple this and that.. so I am dying to know.. |

My MIL made the best sweet potatoes ever. She peeled them, boiled, drained and put in an iron skillet. She poured cream, white sugar, and butter over them. She baked in the oven until they were crunchy. Of course, her recipe was "you just do it." I have come close to duplicating them, but never exactly.
