Melinda one time I was coughing so much and so hard I pulled an intercostal muscle (the muscles between the ribs). So painful but of course the body wants to keep on coughing...can't supress it. Sorry you are having such a rough time.

I'm tired...still as sick and congested as ever. I don't know why my cold is just in stasis. I'm very tired. Looking forward to my upcoming 3 days off so I can sleep at will. LOL. I'm thankful that it hasn't been too busy at work the past 2 nights (and hopefully the trend will continue tonight).

Sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas and that the dinners went well. I'm looking forward to my ham on Wednesday night.

Hmmm I just looked at the schedule and realized I've only got 2 days off because I have another OT day coming up. It's nice to get the extra money but being sick I'd rather have the extra day! LOL. I'm already scheduled for it though so nothing I can do about it now. In a little over 2 hours I get to go home. The night has sort of dragged by.

Good morning sunshines. I was up at 5 am. Time for the hubby to head off into the great big world today. He does not go back to Colorado yet, but they have to go to Billings to work on the truck. He SHOULD be there till Friday and then home for the weekend and New Year.

They are calling for more snow while he is gone. I have a house full of leftovers and a new Kindle......I think I will be fine. I have the most awesome book on the TV show Duck Dynasty that has been calling my name since I opened it yesterday too.

We got snow yesterday and everything today is frozen.

I must have thrown away my Lowe's bill by accident.. it's a good thing I remembered it's due on the 2nd of each month.. anyway I called over there to get an address...and all the while my hubs is going why don't you just take into Lowes.. then the lady says you know instead of stressing about it.. if there is a Lowes close by you can just take it into Lowes!! LOL.. so I think I will go tomorrow and see about the Christmas lights...

Not really a trick. Try to get the LED ones. They are brighter and safer and they cost less to run. Thats it, easy peasy.

Sue.. I bruised a muscle once from coughing..There was nothing they could do for a bruised rib...so I went home and drank a whole bottle of Nyquil.. I just wanted to sleep...

I have popped so much stuff the past 3 days.. from Aleve to 800 miligrams of Ibuprofen to Walgreen's cold tablets.. which works like magic on my son.. maybe they did on me too and aspirin..

Anyway I need to get my house cleaned up...and unpack the suitcases already...

Some guy that my hubs works for brought him 6 tamales.. usually around this time, these guys at his job, make a ton and sell them, but this guy really likes my hubs and gave him 6.. I need to try one for breakfast!!!!

So my son said he loved the prime rib...and all I rubbed on it was salt and pepper, an did it the Paula Deen way.....they liked the mashed potatoes from Pioneer women, but not like the regular way, because we like ours with tons of lumps and I overcooked the potatoes so they came out lump free.. anyway what I learned from that recipe is that I could make my mashed potatoes ahead of time and either put it in the oven to reheat or do what you said about the crockpot....

Good morning. Not. LOL I'm back at my stinky job. Although talked to a friend here at church and he doesn't like the pastor either. He said he doesn't understand why everyone else is so enamored of him. I think he's a fake and has some personal agenda. I know that's sad to say about a man of the cloth but he is a man afterall. My friend also told me he didn't understand why I'm here anyway as I'm way over qualified. Then we talked about job options and he mentioned a few big wigs at local companies that attend here and I could network with. That could be a great option.

I made my coffee/protein shake and left it in the garage cause I had to move boxes just to get in my van. I had to call dh and ask him to bring it to me. LOL

So the slipper dh got me are too small. They say large size 9/10 and I wear an 8 or 9 shoe but these are like a 7. Grrrr Why do they do that? Plus the boots he got me have a sweater top that goes up to the knee, very cute. The problem is I have huge, giganto calves and even if I lose 100 lbs, I don't think that sweater part will ever stretch big enough. I told him to just take them both back.
