Yay! Lony is back!!! Which Kindle?

I am finished with what I hope is my last batch of Pumpkin Date Bread. I make such a mess in the kitchen. I think I am an ADD person. I do always have trouble finishing things. Then, I kept getting interrupted by youngest wanting us to look for snow clothes for her and bring them over. She has outgrown all of hers so I had given them away earlier this season. Hopefully the pants we found for her which were in the basement will work. She will not be a model on the ski slopes but hopefully she will be warm and dry.

I need to go clean the kitchen. I have washed the bowls and measuring cups but pans, racks etc still need to be cleaned. I am going to rest for a bit.

I actually wanted the original one. I honestly don't need the bells and whistles. I have a netbook for movies and junk and an MP3 player for music. Why spend so much money for stuff I will never ever use.

My sister has all three kinds and she said she actually uses the original kin for reading.

Oh my goodness I love love love this woman's kitchen, dining area! I like her holiday decorating and what she has done with her gingerbread houses. You will have to scroll down quite a bit to see them but I think it is worth it to see her place. I want my kitchen to look like this!

i have the kindle keyboard and it is perfect it has 3G but i don't neeed that just a book reader is all i wanted and it fits in my purse


the kindle app on my computer is nice(i store the excess books there sure wish i would have gotten that cheap ematic ereader before they sold out i could have put MORE on it LOL) it has color on it but i have trouble really reading on the computer
the e ink on the kindle keyboard works perfect

I made it home, but just barely. Several places were complete whiteout conditons. There were 3 trucks off in the ditch the first mile on my blacktop. I stopped as someone was trying to pull another truck out. When the wind let up, I was on the wrong side of the road. I drove with my flashers on all the way from work. The only idiot on the road was the tanker driver who passed me. Doesn't that make you feel safe? I thought I would have to pry my fingers off the steering wheel when I got home.

oh i am soo soo glad you made it home saFe!! some people are complete idiots in the snow situations wind here is 50 MPH they said i don't even want to imagine what you drove home in! get jammied and get some cocoa!

Awww Lucky I am so so sorry. I hate driving in that kind of weather. I hope it eases up for you soon.

Ironically it was 32 here today and sunny as can be. We don't have any snow in the forecast until Sunday.

on another note the news reported that our gas took another 30 cent jump today was 2.99 this morning soo that means 3.29 the evening

KC - prayers for your friends. Good job on 4 lb gone. All that exercising from shoveling will take a few more. You're on plan to go over that 5 lb you wanted.

Mona - hope you are doing better too. Bursitis is no fun - I had that so much with my knees over the years. Are you still working? I remember you said you walk alot in your job. Be careful and baby that hip. When do you start therapy?

Chewiei - 16 lb gone, this time for good. That should make you very happy. The nice thing about this surgery - it will keep going down. You're allowed pureed foods now? What did you make for dinner? oooH - potato soup sould fit the bill. What about fats? When do you get to add a little bit back in - hold that potato soup till you can put a little cream and butter in it. Good luck tomorrow with the finance people. I know it will be stressful for you, so we'll all be thinking of you.

Melinda - I know you've already left for the bright lights of Vegas. Sorry I was so late in wishing you well.

Eliza - one more day and you have the weekend to regroup. I know this has been hard on you.

Lucky - glad you made it home safe and sound. Hate driving in the snow and ice - the idiots that don't slow down like they should make it even more stressful. You said you had more outbreak? I would have thought you got on the meds quick enough to clear them reall soon.

Deb - aw - just you and the fur babies and the beautiful lit Christmas trees. Or - did you jammy up and go to bed early with some meds and a book? Even though I know you're lonely, this is so good for Steven - and I know you know that - but it doesn't make you less lonely. Prayers that Ken gets some good news tonight - he sure deserves a break that's for sure. Feeling better still? I hope so.

Sue - you still out on date with dh? Miss your pictures.

Lony - so - Santa came early and let you have a couple presents. Did Mike get any of his presents early? I wasn't surprised at all that the gingerbread creations were well received. They were great.

To all with the lousy weather, be careful if you have to go out. We're supposed to get rain tonight and maybe tomorrow. I hate when the wind blows so hard - always worry about losing power. Stay safe and hunkered in till it passes.

Well Linda I was with Santa today when he bought them. hahaha Mike is not one to shop early. I am going to wrap my prizes up anyway so I can not have them till Tuesday.

I think I am headed to urgent care tomorrow. This sinus thing has not gone away and I am sick and tired of it. haha Listen to me putting my foot down to a sinus infection.

You're not only talented - but very smart. Why mess with a nasty sinus infection during the holidays? Good for you - hope you get in fast and on meds to kick it out of your system.

Somehow I can just picture him in that geek store - maybe even grinning. I know how hard it is to get him to smile. He's having a good time, I'm happy for him.

You know - it will be a month this week that I fell. I really feel lucky that I didn't break anything. My shoulder is almost back to normal, but the knee is still very numb on one side. It doesn't give me any problems or pain. I just am very carefukl of it. It was such a nasty fall - when is it not at over 300 lb? And - I try so hard to be so careful. That's why they are called accidents........ugh. No matter how careful - stuff happens. Hope you're still feeling a bit better - and so glad you are going to see the PA next Wed.

That is what it was like here this morning and why school was cancelled. Can you imagine teenagers and buses driving in that? I am so glad that you made it home safely!! Hope you will be able to relax tonight.

I know I know. You go without health insurance for so long you do whatever you can to avoid the doctor. I forget we have it. LOL Then I just got super busy.
