Mona i swear i wish we could find some ground beef on sale 4.89 a pound here on sale at the best price ugh IDK but hey gas was 2.99 this morning
my deep freeze is the lowest it has ever been since we got it usually full of meat and bread

My cute ds17 just came to visit. For gas money. roflol Yeah, mom's good to visit when you need gas, huh?

OOOPPPS---just remembered he turned 18 this week.

His friends had a party for him last night at his friend Amanda's house. They were going to do a big bonfire but the crazy winds put an end to that. They watched movies and had snacks and homemade cupcakes. They made blue cupcakes, white frosting with red N.Y. on top for his beloved Giants. He was happy. They gave him a picture of all of them in a nice frame.

Mine too, Deb. As a matter of fact, I'm taking ds14 with me to that tyson store up north tomorrow to stock up on nuggets and stuff. He'll be home for 2 weeks, I"m sure we'll have friends over plus ds18 is home too.

I have to take ds cause I can't lift over 10 lbs yet. Most of their boxes are 20 lbs.

Melinda, for a 12 pound bird, I would roast in the oven at 325 for 3 hours in a covered roaster with water added. I salt the bird pretty well. It will probably be falling apart at the end of 3 hours.

The rules are pureed foods for a week, then move to regular food. Things to start with include tuna, yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs. Creamed soups are fine--actualy some people already had them this last phase although I don't think we were supposed to. I'm going to go slow.

And this is the place that is super cheap too. I think the nuggets were $10 for the 20 lbs. I prefer the breaded tenders---real chicken. 10 lbs of those were $12. I'm going to stock up.

Dh picked up the police report on ds's last accident, last week.The other person got a ticket for wreckless driving and was at fault. They are taking the truck today for an estimate. I'm just glad no one was hurt.

Back from being outside in our Winter Wonderland. Shoveled front stoop, sidewalks, driveway. It is 28 outside but with the sun out now feels warmer. Refreshing. And so beautiful!

Like "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" Haven't heard any sleigh bells though.

Gas was 2.99 here yesterday as well.

Sure hope the prices stay low or continue to decline with all of the holiday travelers. Sure will help the pocketbooks!

it is like a monsoon here rain i won't be able tp turn the christmas lights on tonight half the cords are in water and that is a no no we may float away and it is getting colder too windows are fogging up

It's like a blizzard here. They say the roads are really slick. I can't decide whether to head out now, or wait and maybe they will clear the major roads. My country roads will be horrible whenever I leave.

Thanks, Lucky. She needs lots of prayers. Her husband's sister was having a 3rd back surgery today. They found another leak of spinal fluid from the initial surgery. She is also in a great deal of pain. Their poor extended family dealing with two hospitalizations and the weather.

Hope you have a safe trip home. Roads have been a mess here in and around the city. Hopefully the snow packed less travelled country road will be better? Be sure to let us know when you get home! Prayers for safe travel for you and the family.

Wow, Deb, sorry to hear that. We always duct tape our light cords where the plugs are cuz of rain and snow. However, they are not sitting in puddles either. Oldest was supposed to turn off the outside lights last night but she didn't. So, it was a beautiful sight when I looked out at 6:00 this morning. The red and white lights glowing under the snow. So pretty.

Ok, Ladies, received a text from my friend who had to go to the ER for pain. She has clots in her lungs and is scared as well as in pain. Please up those prayers for her. I am trying to find a good patron saint and the prayer/petition for her to use as she is Catholic.

I had blood clots in my lungs in 1983. It is scary. I spent 12 days in the hospital. It takes a long time to get over. Praying she will be fine.
