My goodness my cell phone has sounded messages 8 times since I have been down here this morning. Guess I should check them out.

The news is talking about "snownadoes" from our heavy wind gusts. Lots of delayed and cancelled flights at KCI. A FedEx plane off the runway. Visibility was so bad that people looking out the windows at the airport couldn't see the planes parked right there at the gate. So..... even though we only got two inches we had blizzard conditions for a few hours.

The winds here are insane today. My van was hard to control on the highway. I had to grip the steering wheel super hard.

Schools are dismissing here at noon. I am trying to decide whether to head home or wait it out.

Chewie, 16 lbs seems like a great loss for two weeks, or has it been longer?

We aren't going to be leaving till probably after 1pm my time, because of the car rental.. if we pick it up morning hours we pay for today...if we pick it up I think it's after either noon or 1pm.. then we don't...

Can I ask a question... ok....I bought a turkey yesterday which was 12 pound...12 pounds 7 ounces actually...so they say thaw in fridge it thaws out 4 pounds a day...I put it in my fridge yesterday morning.. is this turkey going to be ok to cook on Tuesday???? That is like 6 days in my fridge?? though I know some days it's frozen..

It'll be 3 weeks on Monday so it's been 17 days since surgery day.

Yay! That is like a lb a day pretty much on avg then. So, what did the nutritionist tell you? Any helpful hints? I know you said something about New England Chowder for tonight. Is it okay to jump into foods like that or do you need to do simpler purees?

melinda i think it should be fine i put mine in before thanksgiving at the right time and danged if it wasn't still frozen when i checked it the day before SOO i set it in some water for a few hours the day before and put it bad in the fridge
