Oh and he also said he's getting me cable TV for Christmas but we have to wait till after the holiday stuff is put away or the guy won't be able to get to our TV. You know, I have sort of missed TV and it just makes me all warm and fuzzy that he wants to get it for me because he knows I miss watching Food Network. LOL. |

I used to really like perfume when I was a teen and in my 20s but then I started getting headaches from it and I had to throw it all away. And it bothers me to be around super dooper perfume cloud people.

Deb I love that you posted that thread. I enjoyed looking at all the furbaby photos.
Lony your tree and decorations are outstanding! Good job. Mmmmm homemade chili. You know I was going to make sloppy joes the other day and come to find out I'm out of ground beef! That never happens! This is because of my moratorium on buying new meat. I guess I used the last of it and didn't realize. I have some Marie Calender's corn bread mix (yea I'm a Yankee and I like my cornbread to taste like cake!) tee hee. Now I want to make chili. Sounds so good for this cold weather. Sorry you have the blues Deb. I think you need to slip ol' Santa into the bed and get a good laugh out of it. ![]() |

Thanks so much guys
It's definitely hard at this time of year, I've been bringing pistachios everywhere so if I am starving and there is nothing but carbs around I can at least eat something satisfying. Cheese strings are great for the holidays too when you're far from home and are tempted. Anyone planning a "cheat" christmas meal? I'm pretty sure I am not going to indulge at all but there's a small chance I may go nuts and have a small helping of mashed potatoes and gravy. I haven't decided yet. I'll keep it under 100g of carbs no matter what I eat anyways. |

Sitting down for a little break. I did scrambled egg and sausage breakfast burritos, fruit, and coffee. Then made up Pumpkin Date Bread. This recipe makes a lot. I did 4 mini loaves, 12 normal muffins, and 3 mini bundt pans. I have cleaned up the kitchen and the dishwasher is going. What are you all doing this fine afternoon? I think I am going to put some meatballs in the slow cooker with a cranberry sauce to serve over rice for dinner.

I made a special trip to the grocery store to get the sunday paper for the coupons....and there were no coupons.
I know they don't usually have coupons on holiday weekends....but I was expecting that next week. |

You can make any kind of fuge with this.
Try adding marshmallows and toasted almonds with milk chcolate. Chop up some snickers bars with milk choclate Do a single batch of milk chocolate and pour into 7x11 pan. Make a second batch with peanut butter chips. Add chopped peanuts and spread on top of milk chocolate layer. Make a double batch of white chocolate. Pour half into pan. Tint remaining half orange and add orange flavor. Swirl into the white for cream cicle fudge Make with white chips, add 1 tsp of almond flavoring and cranberries and almonds. Add mint flavor to milk chocolate. Whatever you can think of.

THis is beautiful but it made me cry.
twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate. their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air. they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there. they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say. they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day. "where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse. "this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house." when what to their wondering eyes did appear, but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near. He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same. then He opened His arms and He called them by name. and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring those children all flew into the arms of their King and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace, one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face. and as if He could read all the questions she had He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad." then He looked down on earth, the world far below He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand, "Let My power and presence re-enter this land!" "may this country be delivered from the hands of fools" "I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!" then He and the children stood up without a sound. "come now my children, let me show you around." excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran. all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can. and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight, "in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

Mona.. when I weighed 409 pounds I could barely get by without having to sit down..so I completely understand...not that its a picnic now for me...but anyway the Teen Drama in my house is that my son broke up with his girly friend...she wants to talk to him today after their concert. I said Please tell her I am cooking all day and I don't need to be running on her schedule, if that makes sense. I mean I don't want to put my Kraft Mayo and Parm cheese, chicken in the oven, then have to shut it off, to leave to get you...this will be the 4th time trying to break up with her..
