Have to confess, I do get a few of them before they wipe them out. So good. I sure hope that an airtight container works - cause I plan on making them last a long time. Gonna try anyway. I'm very glad there is no store close to us that's for sure.

oh mercy - just heard about the shooting in CT...........all those little ones. How - how could someone kill little ones that haven't done a thing. Pure evil........just breaks my heart for all those families...........

I think it was someone whose life was ruled by demons he couldn't escape. Maybe mental illness? abuse? persecution? drugs? alcohol? Just so sad for everyone concerned, and even for the surviving family members of the shooter. I so feel for them. They are left to deal with the fallout from someone they couldn't stop. It's all so so tragic.

I am dressed and will do the makeup and hair thing in a few minutes. Hopefully we won't have to stay at dh's office party too long but it is just up the street from us and the weather is really mild for Dec. so I better count my blessings! It has been held on many frigid nights before I tell you! Youngest got invited over to a friends for a bit so I don't have to worry about her being at home although ds should be home shortly from swim practice.

Chewie, you feeling better? How is ds? Not hurt from the accident?

Eliza, so are you and dh going out to celebrate the Anniv tonight or tomorrow? We want to hear the details!

Melinda, you survived the running around! I am hoping to wear my most comfortable pair of shoes tonight. They are not the dressiest but they don't kill my feet and if I am going to walk a great distance or stand alot tonight I want comfort. LOL

IT'S SATURDAY - ALL DAY...........time to rise and shine/whine.
Ds was very very bad...........left a box of fresh Krispy Kreme donuts on the counter. I did not need to have that greet me first thing this morning. So far, I've been strong, have my cup of tea and staying away from the kitchen.

I ran all over yesterday in so much traffic - I'm planning on staying put today and getting a few cleaning chores out of the way. But first - I'm going to go look at the paper and have some protein before the Krispy Kremes attack........

Yesterday's school shooting and ensuing discussions really knocked the wind out of me and I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, even DH or DS. It hit very close to home. School kids become like your own kids, you spend more time with them daily than their own parents sometimes.

The thought of children perishing like this in the place where we love and nurture them, the thought that no matter how hard we try we cannot keep gun violence away from our precious children and our schools makes me feel crushed, helpless and angry.

Sorry to start the day off on such a note, still grappling with all these feelings. Those poor babies were left there, where they fell, through the night, while the technicians were processing the crime scene. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families.

I thought about you all day yesterday Elizakins.. I swear to you...it just broke my heart all day long.. even my own husband started crying...it's senseless and I can't make sense of it...big giant hugs to you my friend.. Good morning Melindapoo, don't be jealous of my laundry. I have to haul it all over to the laundry room. Go back and switch it all to the dryers. Go back and fold it all and then come home and put everything away. I bet I get 20,000 steps just doing that!! Mike has to go work at the shop this morning so I am going to try to get it done while he is gone and then I am going to put his buns to work helping me with gingerbread.

He can roll out the dough for me.
