Melinda - hope all goes well with the dentist. I'm overdue myself - that's the worst part about moving - finding new doctors. Put off, put off and put off somemore. Hope you had ds go with - just in case he needs to drive you home.

The knee is about the same. Still swollen. Guess it will just take longer than I want.

Yes, so sad for Sue. I lost my dad around Thanksgiving 15 yrs ago -and my mom just before Christmas 2 years ago. Somehow the holidays just aren't the same - wonder if they ever will be. I am thankful I had them for as long as I did. Now I have my boys - life goes on, but it's just a little different.

You doing anything today? I should be doing some cleaning - but - I'm still sitting here in my robe and slippers. Can we say lazy? It's gray and overcast here today. Good day for snuggling in with a book I'm thinking.

Phew--it's going to be in 70s today. Really??? On Dec 1??? I have the windows open. WEIRD! I did all my paperwork, bills, misc, cleaned the kitchen, made the boys brownies, doing laundry, making lists, talked to my bff in CT for a while, packing for the hospital. Got tons done. I still need to go open all my boxes of gifts and update my list and then hide them all. Then I need to shower and head out to pick up some last minute stuff.

Dh is cooking for the parents tomorrow. They didn't come last week and weren't originally supposed to come tomorrow but since I haven't seen them, they want to see me before Monday. I'm on clear liquids so I'll sip some broth I guess. Everyone better get used to it cause I'm going to be the oddball for a long, long time. I might not joy them at the table though, it depends. Maybe I'll convince him to cook something I don't really like. That'd be very helpful.

my Dad died in the Nov before i was born My sister died the nov just after Steven was born so she has been gone 17 years all of Ken's deployments were at holiday time i am used to bad stuff around this time it is just the blahs got me

i am still in jammies too i HAVE to get up and showered gotta go pick Steven up from Berea they got to see the Nutcracker on stage last night

and i think we are going up to Kenny's after we pick up Steven
ken got all the nutcrackers out and has the pooh bear tree up i gotta work on getting my village and the pooh tree decorated
Squirt bottle has been going like crazy with the kittehs and trees lol
been playing FB games way too much

OH i did ride the bike for 5 and a half minutes this morning! and got my meds made out for the week!
ok gotta go switch over laundry and get in the shower! BBL

nerves, TOM ,work, the surgery and diet change hang in there less than 48 hours!!!

and it is SUNNY and almost 60 here today very nice and i am in this recliner like a lump!

I'm not surprised Chewie. You're taking a big step towards making your life easier for you. Losing weight and being able to move better. It has to be exciting to think about all the weight you'll be losing. I've thought about it, but just don't have the courage to do it. Good for you for moving forward.

Hang in there Chewie.

I got all sorts of stuff done today. But I feel so rushed.....since I lost a day off. My work shirts are almost dry and ready to be put away. Got most of the dishes washed. Cleaned out fridge. Got my stock put in the fridge to cool. Made some rice for a stir fry I'm making tomorrow when I get home. Baked off all my sandies and wound up making some chocolate chocolate chip cookies. They turned out good. Got those all packed up in 2 separate containers to bring to both places where I work this week. Wish I could have had time to decorate the tree. Maybe tomorrow.

My boys kind of flip out when I cry, don't know how to handle. That surprises me cause I am a crier. Anyway, earlier, I was paying bills and ds14 has an attitude(hormones, etc) and ds17 got so mad, he started yelling like a drill sergeant at him. "Don't you disrespect "my" mother. I will break your face!" On and on. Then he finally calmed down after I told him he was that way at 14 too but he said not when I was having surgery. He ended up going upstairs and apologized and told younger ds that he doesn't know what to do when I cry. How sweet. They both have been very supportive and keep looking at the future and how great it's going to be. I am blessed to have such caring, young men---even if they do fight like cats and dogs sometimes.

Yes, I have one, the kind with electrodes you attach to painful muscles and it passes low electric current to relax the muscle. Hasn't been too successful for me, but that's just me.

Well, I fully meant to get back on here during the day. However, I got busy. Did laundry, ironing, Oldest wanted the big tree up. I was all for no Christmas tree this year, then said okay only the small one but.....dh wanted the big one too really so then we had to move furniture, vacuum, etc. Then it was time to take youngest to dance, shopping for bday gift, post office, then came home to more drama from ds...... I am doing an awful lot of praying here, let me tell you. I am so stressed out.

Then got to the grocery store late and made soup, we just ate because dh wanted me to do an online rebate for the tires we bought a couple of weeks ago and of course it wasn't as easy and straightforward as it was said to be...... so "Calgon take me away!". The tree is up and has the lights, now in need of ornaments.
