~~NEW CLOTHES FOR CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE~~
Ladies and Gentlemen... This is something that was discussed in another thread. And I really want to challenge myself..
I am NOT giving myself a weight goal. I am giving myself a dress size goal. I want to lose at least 1 dress size by December 15. I have 5 1/5 months to work on this goal. This is open to anyone who wants to challenge themselves in this manner.... WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!! |

I'm right there with you Cindylou. You knew I would be. I'm wearing 22/24 right now, depending on the manufacturer's generosity. Love it when a 22 fits nice. My challenge is to be wearing my size 20s that I haven't been able to get into for years. My SO has never even seen me in a size 20 and we've been together almost seven years. And you're oh so right. We CAN do this!!

Sounds like an excellent goal.
I am currently a 22/24 - 26/28 (depends on the store). I am a solid 24 jeans at some stores and a solid 22 at others.... ![]() So I am going with the larger of the sizes, 26/28 shirts and 24 jeans. |

K... I'm not going to give me a specific size I'd like to be before Christmas... But I will say I will ask Santa for smaller clothes by then.

Well, if I actually lost 60 lbs. by Christmas like I said in another thread, I would hope that the size 20s would be too big and I actually would get NEW clothes, instead of getting back into old clothes. Of course, NEW takes $$$, but I could get one hot new outfit to wear and strut my stuff a little. Doesn't that sound like too much fun? A New Year's Eve outfit? Let's keep this dream ALIVE!!!

Hey Susan!
![]() Iminit - Personally, I may have the clothes at home that I can fit in to after going down one or two sizes - the point is to reward ourselves for our hard work on something that we look drop dead gorgeous in!!! ![]() Seriously, I cannot believe the "carb fog" I was in and how it was truly making me feel. ![]() |

Hi Cindylou!
Agreed re: carb fog! Like, for the past 20 years over here! I have so much energy and focus here at the office, and at home with chores and other things. And, I actually want to go do stuff with DH. |

Cindy's Carb Fog: aches/pains similar to fibromyalgia and no tylenol advil or aleve would help it; headaches that had me wanting to kill co-workers; dizziness and inability to focus; and eating whatever I wanted mindlessly...

I'll join!! I said in that other thread that new clothes for Christmas would be great!! Right now I'm in a size 24, it takes me forever to go down in size. So, my goal right now is to be able to fit into all of the size 22 jeans that I have in my closet that I haven't been able to wear in 7 years. Then after that I won't have any smaller clothes in my closet and I'll have to go out and buy new ones.

Thanks for starting this challenge. I'd like to join you. I'm currently around a size 18 (apple shaped). I'd like to fit comfortably into all my size Large/16-18 clothes by Christmas, and to be wearing or close to wearing some size medium clothes by the end of the year.
Along with staying on plan and losing more weight, I'd like to lose some inches and get trimmer by working out at the gym at least once a week and starting to do some exercise DVDs. I own some of the T-Tapp and Callanetics DVDs, but haven't yet tried them out. I think that reporting in here would help make me more accountable in doing exercise to lose inches and get firmer. I look forward to getting to know you all better and having us provide support for each other. I don't know anyone else who is currently trying to lose weight or eating lowcarb, and I really appreciate being able to interact online with people who are dealing with similar issues. |

svenskamae This idea was thought of on another thread and I wanted to make it an actual challenge. Everyone is focused on losses or just controlling what they eat that we don't focus on any form of reward.... I think any goal in here is AWESOME because we are committing to something good for us..... And when you get the new outfit - we can submit pictures..... |

Okay, I'm with you guys! I am in a solid 16 right now. By Christmas I'd like to be a 14. Maybe even a 12...but I will be okay with a 14. I am going to get a fancy new dress that I can wear with HEELS (OMG!!). I'd like to lose at least 30 lbs by then, but I am focused on the clothes fit and not the number on the scale.

I am an 18 in most brands of pants at the moment (Old Navy jeans run big, I can wear a 16 in those), so I will set my goal to be in 16's for most brands by Christmas.

Reposting from the other thread..
Along w/ a new outfit, I want to wear a pair of super sexy platform high heels (a dream of mine) w/out feeling like I'm going to break them & w/out fear of breaking my ankle/leg when all my weight shifts if the heel breaks since I feel so clumsy in my body...
I want to hike trails & ride a bike... I started walking today. First time in over a year. I just did a mile, but it felt SO good !! I used to do 5miles. I will again. I also started induction today, again. I hope I don't injure anyone w/in close proximity over the next few days. 1L of water down, at least 1 more to go today. Working my way to 4L per day.

super sexy shoes can be part of the outfit. I had to add in a purse for me. I am going to be miserable without the purchase of a purse til then, but I want a whole ensemble to "knock their socks off" for Christmas.
There is not a "definite date". It is just sometime around the end of December. many people celebrate and have those get togethers where they will want to "show off" at different times. For some it may be the work related christmas parties where we always feel awkward in what we are wearing for it doesn't truly fit. If it fits my chest, I have these monkey sleeves that almost drag on the floor.... Seriously, who are they making these clothes for? who is the model? |

Hi .... Can I join? I am almost out of 28's and just about into 26's. As some of you know me from other challenge. My scale is broken and I haven't purchased a new one meaning, I have no idea what my starting weight was but my size 28 jeans are falling off .........
Nice to see you Cindy ~ I was wondering how you were doing? |

I struggled with the loss of my father, but I have accepted it and can move on. My middle DD is stirring up all kinds of dust, and I am having to cut all communication with her. The lies she is spreading could ruin my oldest DDs life and my DHs life... But other than that I am alive and kicking.
![]() I am focused on what I can control. I planned out todays menu and I will follow it because I have to. Eating LC makes me "feel" good within. For instance, two weeks ago I had no energy to play with the GDDs. Yesterday I got home and saw them in their knee deep swimming pool - so Mimi got a swim suit on and got knee deep in the water with them... We had a blast. AND on a different note, the swimsuit that fit me a little snug last year was too loose !!!!!! It was loose in the rear and top. So I am llsing my a$$ off, literally ![]() |
