Hello Lowcarbfriends Daily Weighers! Happy July 1!

I am standing still right now. I had a great day food wise yesterday. It will come off sooner or later.

I want to join the thread! I'd like to lose 10 lbs this month. So, end the month of July at 266, which will be my lowest weight in 5 years. Crossing fingers!!!

I hope so. It's been slow lately. I first saw 277 on 6/18 then it went back up and now back down but not below.

July 1 261.8 up from May 1st;~(

Hi everyone! You guys are gonna kick me out if I don't start losing something! Worried about only losing 8 pounds last month? I haven't lost 8 pounds this year. But this is the month it is going to change.

I am doing 3 things every day to help insure that...

1. Sleep=take a nap if I need to but get my sleep
2. take a shot of coconut oil mixed with water (holding my nose in the middle of a 2 hour taste free zone-something I read about "Shangri La Diet)
3. Cut way back on dairy and nightshades with the thought that Lectins may be slowing me down.

These are all new and discovering them makes me hopeful for this month's weight loss numbers.

Chris, I also had a month where I finished "up". And, I only lost 1 last month! . I know what works for me, and what causes me to gain/stall, but I still sometimes make poor or compulsive choices. I'm proud of the two of us, and everyone here, for not giving up, and for looking forward to our healthy, successful future.

Down 14.6 lbs for the month of June

July 1 - 272.1 (Still on JMC&B 14 day program)

Now, this sudden weight loss I've experienced in the past few days could be contributed to multiple things but here are some changes I've done:
*Been 100+ degrees so eating a LOT less than normal and drinking much more water
*June 27th I started the 2nd half of the Jilian Michael's Cleanse and Burn 14 day program and the 2nd half is the 'fat burning' half (not promoting this product but it is something Im doing)
*Getting a full nights sleep (at least 7 hours at a time)
*TOM started a few days back and probably boasted my gain to 279.5 on the 29th and now Im coming to the end of TOM)

However the weight came off, I'll sure take it!

I am right there with ya Susan, I know what I am doing, just trying to figure out why. I am almost 100% that it is about my sleep. My fitbit tells me that although I am in bed for 8 to 9 hours I am only sleeping 5. A nap helps but feels like a waste of daylight.

hang in there girl, we will get there together!

Blonde, the high temps are not cutting back on my food one iota, I wish it had that effect! congrats on your loss.

I joined you all around the 6th or something like that. I'm down about 6 lbs from my highest weight in June. The thing that I appreciate is that this daily accountable thread and all you wonderful gals. You are helping me. I hope you all feel the same. Keep reaching for optimal health!

Hello again. Have you all heard of Jimmy Moore from Livin La Vida Low Carb?
He has a podcast and I urge you all listen to his last show from THIS PAST THURSDAY - INTERVIEW WITH JULIA ROSS - HOW TO BEAT CARBOHYDRATE ADDICTION. Its pretty darn interesting and I know some of you will relate to it and appreciate the info offered.
Great Archives too! I'm so glad I found this site. I've been listening while doing housework. Another one that is great in the archives is Mark Sisson, the author of Primal Blueprint. Even if you're not paleo, it applies to all low carbers.

14.5 lbs lost in the month of June. I am ecstatic about that.

Jul 2 - 261.0

Ready for the 250's! I was only there briefly in 2010 after a violent illness! I want to be there for real this month!

fyi, I've been working the 14 hour fast every day. very very easy. I eat last about 8 at night, then I skip breakfast (easy for me) and don't eat until lunch. I still low carb, hi fat, but It keeps the ketosis fires burning!

Terri, congrats! I have tried the IF thing, not great at it, can't give up my coffee with HWC. Other than that, pretty much there though.

Zay: there is a fine line between passing on helpful information and promoting a product. I think that LCF can get aggressive about it, on the other hand, it is nice not to have to worry about someone pushing product on a thread I guess. I have also been reprimanded - for telling the site I use for food tracking.

Whatever I too am aiming for mid 260s by August... It is do able.

Someone mentioned being kicked out if they don't start losing - ummmmm NO!!! Occassionally we all are in a rutt... But even when i am gaining, the best thing I can do is keep posting and reading and even lurking in here. Someone will give a suggestion that helps or sounds like they are talking directly to you.

Terri if i skipped breakfast I would not make it through the day. But I am glad it is working for you. Whatever works.....

Wow, I was on this thread a loooong time ago. Time to go again. I think this keeps me honest when I start slacking. Stats on the left are always the low weight of the week!

7/1 222 (after eating at a BBQ - bloating!)
7/2 219 1/2 (debloating)

Number of pounds to crack 100 pound weight loss: 7.5
Ugh, I've been trying to crack that 100 pounds since 2005; I've never done it. I came close once in 2010 at 225.

July goal: 209

Checking in for accountability. I did not weigh today. I've not done well with my food intake from late last night until this afternoon. I eating healthy as of right now and think I'm finished eating for the day today.

Well, I figured out why I dropped so much so fast. Yesterday after I posted, I began to feel sick and dizzy. I had come in from 2 hours of heavy sweating from being outside at 104+ degrees. My body sweated too much fluid out and I became dehydrated, thus the low weight.

I spent all last night drinking and drinking till my stomach felt sloshy. I did eat one meal of turnip greens which made me feel a LOT better getting some food and fluid in me. Needless to say, none of it has come out yet so I expected the gain today. I actually expected more due to how much water I drank.

Funny thing, I was just reading a few days ago about how the Biggest Loser contestants intentionally dehydrate themselves before weigh ins on the show. Makes for good tv I guess.
