Deb thank you so much for setting up the new month. I really appreciate all that you do.

Hi Melinda! Happy bday to your son.

Sue I am buying a house at the end of June so I have started the huge task of sorting my stuff and packing away the stuff I don't need right now. It's slow going. hah! I have always been a procrastinator. I can get a lot of work done if I'm properly motivated but right now I will pack one box and then say, eh...I'm done.

Yesterday DH and I got the front and back yards completely mowed. Yay! Today I need to tackle the pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen and cook us some food. So far I've got pork chops and chicken breasts thawed. My freezers are starting to empty out! My goal is to have hardly any frozen food left for moving time.

Deb, if you are making the vest for a costume, I would take the easy way out and just put velcro strips to hold it together and use the buttons for decoration. That will save time on the buttonholes.

oooh that is a great idea!!! Steven is like me, chubby,do you think it would still hold well??(i have NEVER attempted buttonholes and my machine isn't one that does it automatically but it does have the stitch for it)

sorry i have been MIA Steven and I got up and headed to walmart to shop before everyoen else got there and the one closest one to us had no buttons*the sewing departments ahve went to pot the last few years i think. so we went on to Corbin (25 miles away) to see what they had there stopped at a fabric store and they had vvery few! went to the Corbin walmart and found a bag of mixed sized ones hoping i can find 14 of the same size. if they don't all match in color i will try to cover them in fabric or something*
by the time we got everything home and unloaded then Kenny and AShley were here. at their inlaws is soo full of people they came to stay and talk here a while the funeral is Sunday

soo HOWDY and so far no flying for me
LOL finally got my coffee and we are watching Daniel Radcliffe in "The Woman In Black" a scary/suspense movie

Yes, last day for kids was today. Monday is last day for teachers. Then on Tuesday I'm starting summer school.

Just sitting around relaxing, about to break out the bottle of Cabernet sovignon and have a lonely glass. John is at work, 12-hr shifts for 7 days straight. Plus, MIL is arriving on Tuesday

Deb, Steven's birthday is coming up, right? I know he was born just a couple of days before Alex.

How is exercising going for you? Have you be sticking to Callanetics? I've been slacking on the exercise thingie big time.

Happy Weekend everyone!!

This is my last day of weekend. I start training in the blood bank when I go back to work Sat night. They've been talking about it for 3 years and now it's finally happening! They just kept having personnel problems and stuff.

I think I'll get cleaned up and get a few needed items at the grocery store today. Yep, time to get outta my jammies! Tee Hee.

Hi folks. Remember me??? We had no wifi at the lake and the only place we could use it is if we brought out laptop to the activity center. Dh did that once but there were kids/people all over the place. They have an arcade, grill, etc and it's mobbed there.

I missed you all very much. Thought of you often and even prayed for you.

LaShawn---wow, you go girl. I saw your May results. I've very excited for you. Keep it up.

Melinda--Happy bd to your ds. I'm glad you're back. I hope you stick around.

Deb--who died? I didn't read in May at all yet.

Lony--are you in WY?

The lake was nice. It was so hot though. Close to 100 most days. How can people live there and it was only May???? Not comfortable for me at all. We relaxed alot, spent some time in the pool, bbq'd burgers for Memorial day, had a picnic at the Quadelope river---ds and dh went swimming in it too--not me or older ds. It was a hike to just get down there carrying all our stuff. I thought I was going to pass out climbing back up to the car. Wow, being this overweight and tryin to do stuff is difficult. DS and dh went to a cool cat fish pond where you pay by the pound after catching them. Cooked them up that night and OMG---they were the best ever. I finished 5 books on my kindle and just hung out a lot. It was nice not having to look at the clock. We had some great seafood at the beach and then found some good Mexican and Italian food at the lake. We only went out 4 times although we did pick up Subway for our river picnic. We got some giant Gulf shrimp and made it with pasta one night. It was so good.

It was just too far. We put 2100 miles on the car from the day we left. Yesterday we drove a bit over 500 to get home. We don't have a big car either. That's tiring.

And the weird thing is we when we got to Oklahoma, it was raining and in the 60s. As we got closer to home, it was even cooler and in the high 50s. Going from 100s to 60s is really weird, especially in the same day. LOL

I'm glad to be home. There's no place like home.

Hi again. Wow, talking to myself again. I was hoping to catch someone to chat with. Oh well, dh is back from Sam's club. He got steaks and they were on sale---woohoo plus corn on the cob. YUM DS13 is mowing the backyard and it's a jungle. DS17 just went to pick up our mail at the P.O. Busy, busy, busy. I folded all the laundry and did my weekly vitamins. Thinking about doing a meal plan but brain is still tired and fuzzy. I guess technically I'm still on vacation too. I think that can wait. We weren't even supposed to leave till today and get home tonight or tomorrow so we're ahead of the game anyway. Tee hee

HAPPY BD, TAMI.

Good job on your chores.
Wow, that's awful about your friend. I don't know her but said a prayer. So sad.
