Just had to text both boys to make sure that ds13 gets to football practice. He slept through it on Tuesday and his buddy stayed over again last night(3 nights so far) and they probably stayed up too late again. That kid needs to go home today. I like him but he's not mine and 4 days is enough.

Thanks, Deb. I'm hoping my husband will remember, but that is a slim to none chance. I used to remind him, but it hurts less if I think he forgot instead of ignores it. My grandsons sang happy birthday to me on the phone, and that is probably as exiting as it will get.

Happy birthday Elaine/Lucky....
Chewie I was looking at those boys practice football yesterday....wow those are some big strong kids..Is your son looking forward to college?? right now the new drum coach, is making the kids, including my kid, work out before practicing the drum, and the kids are pissed off..but then you look at the football kids and admire how much they work out... I am so pissed off I gained 2 pounds, from yesterday...I had bacon and eggs and 2 patties with chili and walked for a total of an hour...I ATE BEING FAT AND TRYING TO DIET.. I had to order the coffee maker from bed bath and beyond..it was the same price at Walfarts and Bed bath and beyond.. so I figured I may as well get the 20 percent off an item.. just it was sold out.. so I had to order it...I bought hubs some socks at Walfarts so I will wrap that up for him... THanks Deb...he decided to drive to work today.. My goodness I would have take the whole day off of the day job and been there at the crack of dawn..so I am going to be on pins and needles until he walks in tonight and told me it's all signed... SO THe Los angeles Kings won the Stanley Cup and I have to watch the parade...wonder who is paying for that parade!! LOL So I am going to have a bowl of lettuce with some bacon and some Girard's Old Venice Italian dressing... So I am going to stop rambling now.. I am pretty pissed off a the weight gain... SUE!! GO THUNDER!!! |

Ken is off to work and our internet is back in!

Well I had my salad and some chicken noodle soup with about 20 potstickers...better not eat anymore today!!!!

I sail along real good and then when this happens it really dampens my spirit and motivation.......I am going to make stuffed zucchini tonight for them..since I hate that crap....LOL Deb..OMG!!! and here I was dying yesterday cause there was a dead bug near the front door!!! |

ack news reporting baseball sized hail to the south of us again UGH this weather year has been insane! did you all see where they said some river in Japan had turned completely YELLOW?

Hey gang. Happy Flag Day!
It's my "weekend" but I'm up kinda late. I'm such a dork. I made turkey meatballs and they are simmering in doctored up canned spaghetti sauce...but now it has to simmer for at least a couple of hours. I didn't plan my day very well.  It's been cooking for about an hour so far. Then I will see if the veggies are soft enough...and then I have to cool it and pack it away. I don't think I'll be hitting my pillow until late afternoon. I'm having a cranky-pants day.  TOM is here. I have bad allergies....I'm so congested and sneezy. The neighbor is blasting bass-y music, our other neighbor is getting a new roof put on so there is lots of hammering and the lovely smell of hot tar. Thankfully she turned the music down awhile ago. Calgon take me away!!!I'm pretty proud of myself. I finally organized all the stacks of papers on my desk and made a filing system in a plastic, portable filing cabinet. When we move I plan on getting a nicer filing cabinet. Our real estate agent just called today with an update. The roof is almost done, they'll have the permanent tie-downs done over the weekend, and then we can get it inspected and start the final process...whatever it is they have to do behind the scenes. Melinda I'm so happy your DH is getting a signed contract for his job. I'm glad to see you back posting more regularly. You have been missed. Your son got some awesome grades! Good job to your son!  Sounds like you are eating on plan and getting your walking in. Sorry about the 2 pound gain. That stinks but it's not reflective of the great day you put in. Just keep at it and that scale will have to obey! Deb ick poor snake! LOL. We need to mow the lawn too but it's not going to happen today. I'm kinda pooped and now I'm babysitting my sauce. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get an early start in the morning. Looks like Steven has a nice room and that's great that he's got it to himself. I hope he has a great time at space camp. What all do they do there? I approve of Steven's new haircut! You can see his face now. He's such a good looking boy. Ya he needs to smile more.  Are your sinuses feeling any better? Chewie enjoy your gyros. I've never had those. I'm not too adventurous. Yea having another kid over for 4 days could become a bit much. I remember when I was in grade school my best friend and I would spend the weekends at her house and then at my house. But we never did 4 days in a row at one place. LOL. How are your DH's legs doing? Lony you made me smile with your "Sue and her magical ice cream factory" LOL.  Awww baby Lonykins looks like a little angel as she sleeps. yeah about the grass this is the biggest snake we have seen in the yard since we lived here(20 years) sigh and we used to keep a lot less mowed than we do now is your new house closer or farther away from neighbors?? shoot i don't see why anyone uses tar or shingles anymore that painted metal(we still call it tin) goes up so fast and easy  |

Mona..I am not going to let out all my breath until he comes home and tells me signed it for the year, and here is the start date, they sign the contract yearly...I just can't shake them saying something like ok this is good for just the first semester...grrrr this whole affair has played with my mind...I did real good with the salad.. but I felt sorry for myself and poured a bunch of potstickers into a can of chicken noodle soup...but I am so full right now I am just going to grab a cold drink for the rest of the day and night...My husband isn't happy with my son's grades.. if he applies for scholarships, and they check the cumulative GPA, then he is a high normal like a zillion other people...I just worry about him carrying a huge student loan debt.. none of the politicians give a care...from any of the parties...I didn't walk today though, not even the bare minimum.... How are you doing with your diet??? are you moving?? Did you buy something??? I am sorry I am just behind on everything.... Elizakins.. I am sorry too your not feeling very well.. we get the allergies and sinus problems from the flowers and plants.... |

Right now we live in a duplex so the sound our neighbors make travels right through the walls. When we move we are on a standard city lot, but no shared walls! Neighbors on each side maybe 30 feet away? Just guestimating. Can't wait to get outta here! LOL

Melinda my DH and I are buying a double wide mobile home in a little town called Creswell. It's about 7 miles south of where we currently are in the Eugene/Springfield area. It looks like a typical mobile home from the outside but the inside is really nice. New electrical, new plumbing, new fixtures. We are going from a 2 bed/1 bath to a 3 bed/2 bath. Oh and there is a carport which I will appreciate since it rains so much here. Always unloading the car in the rain. hee hee. We are supposed to close escrow at the end of the month. Our mortgate payment will be less than we are paying for rent now! So excited. We will have to get new furniture as we go along. We are not moving our crappy Goodwill stuff with us.

I lived in apartments my entire life..until I bought the first house with hubs.. and OMG MONA you are so right...especially people who are heavy walkers....I am not, guess living in apartments.. but it sounded like a platoon of army guys walking

Oh forgot to update you on my diet. Well I haven't been low carbing and I was hovering around 285 for quite a long time. Then my doctor took me off two of my meds and I shot up 15 pounds in just a couple of weeks.
It's probably mostly water because one of the meds was my anti-diuretic. Anyhow....I have come to the realization that I definitely need to low carb in order to lose any more weight. I was hoping that my surgery would carry me a little farther into the 200's without me really having to "work" at it but no such luck. DH is miserable...he's around 450 right now and having a lot of problems moving and sleeping. He feels pretty bad that he won't be able to help us move. We are hiring movers. So we have both decided that as soon as we get into our new house we are going back on LC. I thought about starting now but it takes a LOT of time for me to shop and cook for all of our meals and I don't have the time now with the move coming up.Last edited by Mona; 06-14-2012 at 02:13 PM..
