I'm back... did y'all meet my friends?
Meaning: I send people here all the time and recommend the LC WOE to anyone who will indulge me by listening, but I myself have been 'off the wagon' for some years. I could go on about my perceptions 'bout the reasons why, but none of them are an excuse and none of them are really helpful for me (or anyone else) to talk about. Last time I felt successful as a lowcarber, I was down to 344 lbs and feeling great, encouraged, positive and motivated. That was in 2006.
My age is catching up to me and my body is saying, "Whoaaa....now hold on just one d*mn minute..." At 39, it's too soon to be putting the brakes on my life. It's time to come home. Since 4/23 I've been back on track and have lost ten pounds. After the initial familiar craptastic withdrawal, I'm starting to feel that well-remembered well-being and increased energy... heartburn has disappeared, aches beginning to dissipate, skin starting to glow. Feeling better is my first and foremost goal. Now, the good news is that I didn't regain ALL of my weight back - the bad news is that it was enough. I have no serious medical issues...YET...but I knew they were coming if I didn't come back to LC and FAST. I'm living in a new town now where I have FAR more choices for fresh whole food - I've decided to embrace that change along with all the other amazing things about the new place. So here we go - ONWARD. I'm always short on time and so probably won't post as much as I should, but I'm here, I'm reading, I'm GOING to succeed. I appreciate the resource that is LCF and all its members immensely - and so, thank you in advance!! Love and bacon, Heather

So glad you're back at it! Most of us slip up and gain back, but as long as you never give up...that's what matters! Welcome back to LC!
