Kcmama, I know that it is horrible that they threw food at your house but I can't help myself.....

This has been going through my head since I read that.

On top of spaghetti, all covered with cheese
I lost my poor meat ball, when somebody sneezed.

The responsible party ended up coming over and washing it all off with a hose.....they were throwing eggs at our car and our front door in the middle of the day. The gall!
Oh, wow, Eliza! In broad daylight! I can't imagine.

Turns out the meatballs/sauce were actually cubes of red jello......how they didn't dissolve outside is beyond me. We managed to get the majority of the toilet paper, pasta (3 types -- linguine, spaghetti, and bow ties), and jello up before it began raining. Thunderstorm hit around 9:30-10:00. It still is thundering and raining. It was so bright and sunny when I got up around 6:00 and we were supposed to get thunderstorms around 3:00 this afternoon. It is quite dark here at the moment. DS came home and got to work. He got the ladder out and the broom to get as much out of the trees as possible. Oldest is not happy about red jello on her white car. I hope the rain washes it out. She is all for finding out who did it and pressing charges. LOL

Hahaha! Neighbor across the street started laughing too when she come over and saw jello and pasta on the cars. She apologized but found it humorous. It is somewhat humorous-- Just there were already ants/bugs on the pasta so I put all the trash in plastic bags from the grocery store and then into one large white kitchen trash bag. I left it outside in an area that is a bit sheltered from the rain. I don't want to bring ants into my garage/house. Another neighbor thought it was because we were celebrating oldest's graduation. No. I am pretty sure it was female "friends" of ds.

Wow, here when we are celebrating something we just put out some balloons and call it good. I may have to try the pasta celebration next time, it sounds like a noodleicious good time.

hehehe it is an old jello jingle from when I was a kid.

Yep, Good ole Bessie is getting 32 MPG while Gertie is only 26. Who would have thought a V6 would get better gas mileage than a little 4 banger.

The school has them for the kids to use? That is awesome. We had to pay cash for the DD's. I think it was somewhere in the $200 dollar range.
That was a giant waste of money since she has decided to become a baby makin machine.

Deb, I just saw the picture you posted about the guy and the dog. So sweet, made me feel good to see it. I am ready for this weekend to be over with so I don't have to spend so much time here in the house. I'm so lonely without my little buddy running around the place. It's way too soon to get anything else and I'm a little strapped for cash after everything so I can't really go out and do anything so I'm stuck here inside watching tv and cleaning stuff.

I would definitely ask to borrow one, Deb. If they won't let you borrow a school one perhaps you can ask around to see if someone has one that he could borrow. We bought one for oldest dd back when she was in high school and now ds uses it. They are around 89-98$ here during back to school sales. Oh, how bout looking online ebay, amazon to see if you can get one for less?

We signed all the loan application docs on Thursday so that is being sent off to the lender. Our broker is "brokering" our package to a lender that does mobile home loans. Not everyone does. He says he doesn't see a problem with us being approved. On Monday we have the professional property inspector do his thing. That costs us $300 out-of-pocket. If there are horrible things uncovered we can still back out of the deal, but we are out $300. If we go forward with the deal, then it's pretty much just a waiting game. We were told it takes a long time to get mobile home deals to go thru so we have a 60 day escrow. During this time the seller will be doing the lender-required repairs, if any. Hope everything works out OK.

Hi again. Poppers are made and next up are the enchiladas. Then some quick cleaning, lucky I got all the laundry done and folded yesterday. Still need a salad and to cook the rice too.

Mona--inspections are always a good idea even with the cost. There could be some every expensive repairs that need to be done before you take over. I think it's money well spent.

Eliza--sorry you're sick and having tooth issues too. Ugh. How awful. Is the prom this coming weekend?

Deb--great pics. Steven looked great. Did he have fun?

KC--we're supposed to get storms tonight. I hope so cause then we don't have to water tomorrow plus I love rain at night.

His feet are kinda puffy but the leg swelling & open sores went away after we got him off of a certain medication that caused him to gain weight like crazy. Of course, just stopping the meds isn't making the weight melt off. It's going to take hard work.

Deb....is it the day after blues? Remember you have a lot to be thankful for. 2 great sons and a wonderful husband, and you looked so happy yesterday.
Mona.....R U a nurse? I forget what you do at the hospital.
kcmama.....get that water hoes out and spray...spray...spray! Any idea what darling children did this?
Eliza....get to feeling better soon!!!! There are so many who are having sinus troubles right now!
Lony.....good afternoon soon to be a mountain mama from Wyo.!!!!!!!!
Seth.....just as soon as you get caught up on your money maybe you will be ready for another pet. Puppy or cat? Personally I am a cat person. Maybe because they can pretty much take care of themselves if and when needed. Whichever you decide on I know you will fall in love right away.
Hello to everyone....have a great afternoon. I am going to go read for awhile.

Deb, she looks so much younger.

Sue, it will be some time before I get another pet, personally I feel like it will be when I live somewhere different. This is a small apartment and I always felt bad that I didn't have a place outside where Toto could run or just enjoy the day outdoors. I had a cat before Toto, something to cure the lonely times after my brother got married and moved out. I had the cat for almost two years and she got ran over by a car when I accidentally let her outside one morning. I swore I wouldn't get another cat for a long time and so about six months later I got Toto. That was almost three years ago. I'm still not ready for another cat. I wish there was another option beyond cat or dog since neither feel right at this point. I have fish, but they're not nearly as entertaining or provide company. It's just going to take some time to get used to.

Glad you found the reason for his leg and weight-gain problem. You are right, WL is a long road, but with the offending prescription eliminated, things will be much easier for him. Wishing him best of luck and lots of success.
