I read for a while and then turned over and fell asleep till 9:15. Accckkk, I woke with my feet hitting the floor and got showered, make up on and out the door at 9:22. I am proud to see my loss over the last couple of days. My dh weighed 350 lbs when we first moved here in October. Money got really tight while he was looking for work, so he cut out the sodas and started drinking the sugar free Hawaiin Punch brand drink mixes, then he started working at a beef packing plant in early January and he refuses to eat breakfast or lunch and still not many sodas a month. His job is very, very labor intensive, so he burns tons of calories daily! He got on the scale this morning and weighed 268.6!!! So he's lost over 80 lbs in the last 7.5 months!!! I am so proud of him, he now weighs only about 4-5 lbs more than he did when we met 12.5 years ago! He weighs what I weighed back then, I only was about 4-5 lbs more than him back then. I am now about 96 lbs MORE than him, but even if I don't catch up to him or pass him in the near future, I KNOW THAT I WILL GET THERE ONE DAY REALLY SOON!!!
LaShawn, wow, you are doing great. Men lose so fast. Don't even think about that. Just keep doing what you are doing.

Orange Lemonade

This juice is a favorite at our place. I'll often double the batch and send a jar next door to my mother-in-law! I was looking for a way to sweeten lemonade without using more sugar when I came up with the recipe. —Wendy Masters, Grand Valley, Ontario
12 ServingsPrep: 20 min. + cooling
Ingredients
1-3/4 cups sugar(i am going to use splenda)
2-1/2 cups water
1-1/2 cups lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
1-1/2 cups orange juice (about 5 oranges)
2 tablespoons grated lemon peel
2 tablespoons grated orange peel
Water
Directions
In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat
until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Cool.
Add juices and peel to cooled sugar syrup. Cover and let stand at
room temperature 1 hour. Strain syrup; cover and refrigerate.
To serve, fill glasses or pitcher with equal amounts of fruit syrup
and water. Add ice and serve. Yield: 12 servings.

Don't you even have to pack up your dishes or other breakables?

Oh, and I didn't mean to say I was trying not to buy boxes from Goodwill...I meant Uhaul. Not that any of you probably even noticed my flub.

It was SO busy at work today and the last hour we got slammed. Then I went directly to Walmart because DH needed some buzzers for his hair. He got halfway thru buzzing his hair and the clippers just broke. While I was there I got a fan for the bedroom since it's starting to heat up during the afternoons when I sleep. Also got some groceries...just needed perishables. I'm still on my quest to eat the freezer stuff. So needless to say my feet are killing me. I'm so happy to be home and in my jammies now.

Hope this comes through. This is for Deb.

I am too lazy to make lemonade like your recipe. I make Crystal light and add orange juice. It's very refreshing and cuts the calories of the OJ.

Lony- My mom lives in a small RV, too. We lived with her for 5 months when we moved back here last year...OMG, it was rough with 3 overweight adults and a slightly overweight 10 year old and 3 cats and a toy Chihuahua. It was like , two people couldn't be standing at the same time...lol.

Mona- I hate packing! I am very slow!

Deb- Thanks for the pc info, I thought that was the case about the emails being posted. Those cabbage rolls sound good! Glad the storm wasn't too bad!

Chewie- BACON??? WHAT BACON-PULL APART BREAD??? Oh my that sounds good, would love the recipe for a later date!

NOT LOW CARB AT ALL!!

Quote:
Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pulls (a.k.a. Crack Bread)
(Printable Recipe)

1 unsliced loaf of (round is preferable) sourdough bread
8-12 oz cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
3 oz bag Oscar Mayer Real Bacon bits
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 Tbsp Ranch dressing mix

Using a sharp bread knife cut the bread going both directions. Do not cut through the bottom crust. Place slices of cheese in between cuts. Sprinkle bacon bits on bread, making sure to get in between cuts. Mix together butter and Ranch dressing mix. Pour over bread. Wrap in foil the entire loaf in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
not sure if this is Chewie's exact one but similar!

Lifetouch came and did photos at the graduation. Now they have them available to purchase. I did buy a few but they are pricey. I got one with ds getting his diploma and another with him and a bunch of his friends.

another litter pan cleaned and changed another waste basket the same went to mailbox and got mail AND took it to garbage can to sort and throw away junk first thing

Hello Everyone!

Another gorgeous day here. So sunny and beautiful. Low humidity. Good thing since today was the BBQ for the middle school. Our PE and Music Teachers grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. There were the usual chips, cookies, candy (?!). One of the moms gathered a few of us to offer one healthy alternative so we brought watermelon. I had dh cut one up last night into triangle slices. We were just going to do this for our 6th graders but we had enough that 7th grade also got to enjoy watermelon and orange wedges. I was there from 9-1:00. I had to leave to come home to eat and drink something!

I ran errands, then took a one hour nap, showered and got dressed again to head up to the High School to help set up for the Track and Field Banquet. While it was interesting to listen to the coach and see the athletes get awards it was by far the worst banquet food that I have ever had! Ugh! Pizza was ok, but, really for a banquet? Then they had bought bags of salad from Sam's and poured balsamic dressing over too early. It was a soggy salad. There were strawberries and Sam's cookies. Blech!

I have been watching DWTS final and doing a couple loads of laundry. Am getting ready to head to bed as I woke up at 4:00 a.m. and tomorrow is Field Day! Hopefully, won't be too bad but it is supposed to be near 90 degrees. Ok off to bag up the oreo bark I made for gifts......

Good Night, All!

Good morning!! Time to rise and whine and start another beautiful day in paradise. Mike made it home last night around 11 so now I guess let the games begin.

I hope that everyone has a close to perfect day filled with rainbows, sunshine and bacon.

Good Morning!

I have gotten a little bit of necessary outside work done. I planted my rosemary, some marigolds, a petunia plant. I rinsed out my recycle bin as today was trash/recycle pickup day, and I have emptied out a couple of leftover bags of topsoil. I also watered plants.

Stripped kids' beds and those sheets are in laundry. Put away clean dishes. Beds are all made. DS is home from his morning final. Will be off in an hour to field day.

You guys must all be busy too. Really quiet around here!
