Good morning. Severe storm warning here now. Winds are crazy. I frosted dh's cake already. DS13 had a friend come over to stay the night at about 9:30. The kid went in the pool lat night. Crazy kid!!!

Lony--beautiful cake. We're having chili dogs on Wednesday.

I have the red beans in the crockpot. The pork is shredded but it needs to get crispy in the oven later. I hope we don't lose power. Made spicy sausage for breakfast but it was too spicy for me so ds17 ate mine.

Nothing going on today---catch up with laundry, quick clean a bit and the parents over to celebrate dh's bd.

I guess the warning is over. I made the boys come downstairs. Accckkk Made them waffles. It's still super dark and we're supposed to have thunderstorms with maybe damaging winds but the tornados are past---they weakened. Thank God. My heart was pounding there for a bit.

I'm off to make the buffalo style deviled eggs now.

Hi again. Taking a quick break. I went through my main dresser of clothes. It holds lots and lots. I have 2 big bins purged and ready for donating. It's great and lots of fun to thrift store shop and find bargains but then I end up with 10,000 pieces of clothing and often they don't even fit. I don't try clothes on when they are that cheap---only try on more expensive stuff in regular stores. I need to remember that when I bring in a new item, one should go out. That would work better than spending hours doing it. I also packed away my winter stuff too.

It's a beautiful day here unlike yesterday. The storms were on the west side of Okla. so all was ok here.

Lony.....I just love your tea party cake!! I just wish you lived close by. I'm guessing you must charge at least $50 plus for a cake like that. If not, then you should.

KCmama...yes it is BB I am going to work for. I won't have any trouble with eating the ice cream there. I hear they keep you busy. It's here at home when I am alone that I eat....and eat....and eat.

I made it out of the tea party alive!!! Oh thank goodness!
The party was at this old victorian house that they have turned into a childrens party place and salon. All the girls got to dress up, have their nails and make up done and then get their hair done. It was super fun. Cinderella even came.
The girl who runs the place said she has seen a lot of birthday cakes and Emmas was by far the best. I was not too proud.

Sounds like everyone has had a busy day. I came home and took a litle nap. Had another ovarian cyst and it ruptured today. My sister gave me some pain meds and I am feeling much better. I am going to have to get to the doctor and see what is going on. I seriously am thinking about getting my ovaries removed.

Sue I wish I lived closer to EVERYONE! I would love to make cakes for all your special days. This cake was free of course because it was my neice but I would probably charge $90-120 for it. I used to price my cakes around 40-50 but I was spending more than that on materials. Plus I saw a super ugly cake at walmart that was two tiers, nothing fancy for 60. THAT was a wake up call.

Chewie Glad the tornados passed you by! That is a way to do it when you buy new stuff, get rid of some old stuff. That way you don't end up with more stuff than you can ever use. I purged my clothes that were too big, and honestly I wear the same 4 outfits to work every day and I have some t-shirts and capris to wear around the house. I really don't need very many clothes since I have zero social life. LOL. Bet it feels good to go thru your clothes and get rid of so much.

Deb I really enjoy the graphics that you post. That beaver was too funny! Your new storage shed looks like it's coming together nicely! Hmmm how to make it look Christmasy.....well you can decorate it like a gingerbread house.
