Ok, down to 237.0 this morning. So anything I see below that this week will be new loss. I'm a little disappointed. I've been working my butt off at the gym and kind of thought I would be a bit lower. It may be my muscles retaining, though. I took a pretty hardcore body combat class last night and I'm feeling it this morning.

I am going to try to get my cals up a bit just today, they've been fairly low this week. *Try*. Doesn't mean it will happen.

Michelle-
You're doing great! Your body will release what it wants when it wants. I fuss at my body all the time because it doesn't seem to want to let weight go as fast or as often as my brain wants it to!*L* The point is that the trend is downwards and that is a success! KUTGW! (oh, and please remind ME of this when I get frustrated)

Are you doing any body measurements? I find that helps. I lost a measly 6.8 pounds last month BUT according to the tape measure I lost 15 inches from all over my body last month (too bad it couldn't have been 15 pounds and 6.8 inches but hey..it is all going down, so it is all good, right?) My mom did the measuring as usual so I'm thinking she was being consistent and measured the same way and area on each body part. I checked the math 3 times because that number seems wrong (too high)..but my clothes are more loose so I'll take it.

Today the scale said 283.9. I was hoping to hit 282.3 by tomorrow so I could claim -50 at the support group meeting. 1.6 pounds by tomorrow morning isn't likely but I am going to try to get there-without doing any dehydration tactics or weird stuff like taking laxatives etc. I want to claim it so it will stick and not be due to some temporary water imbalance thing....does that make sense?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Laura you are doing great! Take the advice you just told me Lol. Let us know how your meeting goes.

Nikki-ugh, cheerios sound great. I read in the playground they have peanut butter cheerios now Get to the gym girl, you are the one that encouraged me to go to those classes. I've been to 3 this week! Monday-step, Tuesday-Body combat, Wed-Step, Tonight will be an ab/glute class. Then someday this weekend I will rest. Not sure what day. I'm into it, but my body wants a rest.

Abber-how do you like Lindas stuffind pie? It's my favorite one of her recipes. Of course I tweak it just a bit.

So.....236.2 this morning Finally past that darn 237 mark. Come on body, come on, let's catch Nikki! Or get close. (I have to say that so it will listen.)

I'll post my menu a bit later, haven't decided yet, and I'm a bit busy at work atm.

Hi-
Michelle-WOOHOO! WTG and KUTGW!!
Nikki-you are doing awesome staying on plan!
Abbs-you are doing great on plan too! KUTGW!

The meeting was ok-ran long because a plastic surgeon was there talkign about what he does and doesn't do. I missed getting to -50 in fact, I woke up to a 2 pound gain for no apparent reason (other than stress??!!). This morning the weight is down a bit but still not there even though I worked out yesterday. I'm trying to convince myself to go to the gym today. Water aerobics is in 20 minutes and I still am here in my PJs... could always do the treadmill like yesterday, though. Better go get changed and see if I can make it into the water...

Have a great day everyone!

Laura-girl you are doing fantastic. Don't let the numbers get to you. Just think about it, did you ever think 6 months ago you would have come this far? You are catching up with me and Nikki super fast. Go get to the gym lady, we are all doing it. It's what the cool kids do.

Sooooooooo, ahem. Cough cough. Had a nice little whoosh 234.0 even. Need .1lb to get to 233.anything to reach my weekly goal. That's motivating to keep going to the gym. I've went to 4 classes this week. Even with all the stress I've been under with the craptacular state of my relationship, or non existence there of. Everytime I start to freak and get stressed, I remind myself stress will cause you to gain/stall and I don't want that, so I try to breathe lol. Just cuz I don't want a gain on the scale from something I can't control.

My weekend goal is to NOT drink alcohol. It screws me over, causes me to be an emotional wreck, and makes things worse.

So I made a new recipe. Our thread is soooooooooo slow so I'm going to post it anyway.
Alrighty guys. Got a new one.

Cheesy "rice" bake. Made with miracle rice. OMG so good.
Out of the oven.

Up Close

With my meal of a frozen cooked chicken breast patty/lc ketchup/jalapeno slices:

Ingredients:
2 bags rinsed Miracle Rice
1/2 cup Ragu Double Cheese sauce
1 large egg
6tbsp grated parmesan cheese
3tbsp "I can't believe it's not butter" (yeah yeah I know, i haven't used this stuff in 3 years, but I'm trying to reduce calories for a bit)
2tsp yellow mustard
2tsp franks hot sauce
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp salt
1tsp pepper

Put the rinsed rice in a dry hot pan and let the liquid cook out. Add garlic powder to rice and mix well. While the rice is drying out, in a bowl mix cheese sauce, mustard, hot sauce, egg, salt & pepper, and half the parmesan cheese. I used a small loaf pan to bake it in. Add half the rice in the baking dish, then half the cheese, then the rest of the rice and rest of the cheese. Mix everything very well. Add the "i can't believe it's not butter" in dabs across the top, and cover with the remaining parmesan cheese. Bake @350* for about 20 minutes.

Makes 4 pretty good size servings@
136 calories/11.76g fat/2.74g carbs/.2g fiber/2.55g net carbs

Or if you are hungry and want to use it as a main dish, you could get 2 huge servings@
272 calories/23.52g fat/5.48g carbs/.4g fiber/5.1g net carbs

This was an experiment, so I think I could leave out the egg and "I can't believe it's not butter" and it would come out the same. Reducing the calories to 84 per 4 servings and the carbs to 2.65g.

My menu today:
B-coffee/SF rockstar energy drink. I love these things.
L-I think cheesy rice and some tuna/mayo/mustard.
S-depending on what kind of gym activity I do, probably tuna or eggs.
D-I was thinking more cheesy rice, but I kind of want "fried rice" or pad thai. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Gosh I love shiratake.

Have a fantastic day everyone.

That cheesy rice looks AMAZING. I will have to try. I have no idea what Miracle Rice is, though. But I plan to find out.
And Michelle, WTG on the loss! You are shrinking!

KUTGW everyone, I'm really proud of all the weight we're losing as a group.

Today -
B- made my protein shake extra special today (TGIF) mixed 1 atkins dark chocolate shake with a huge spoonful of all-natural peanut butter and a handful of ice in a blender. CRAZY DELICIOUS. Make sure your peanut butter only has 2 ingredients: peanuts and salt.
L- leftover Stuffing Pie again.
D- going out to a salad bar, probably a huge salad!

Keep on rockin' and have a great weekend ladies!

Whew! I got the fire truck cake done. My nephew came with his friend in a van thinking they would take my cake to the FD for me. I said ummm no thanks, I'll take it myself, I want to be sure my cake makes it there in one piece. LOL!

And here is a close up of the dog I made out of fondant.

Oh and here is a pic of the diaper cake I made a few weeks ago. I was suppose to post a picture but forgot.

Well tomorrow is my weigh in. I have been watching my salt intake and haven't had a cherry coke zero in awhile. Will just have to see.

Laura: Looks like your doing great. I'm sure that little bit you gained from your work out will be gone. Remember muscle will retain a little fluid after working out.

June & Diane: Hope you girls are all ok and hanging in there.

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow!! Karen

Hi-
Nikki-Your cakes were wonderful! I LOVED the dalmation dog on the firetruck! You are SOOOO talented!

Karen-Good luck on your weigh in!

Michelle-KUTGW! Yeah, I could eat a whole cake too-especially those pepperidge farm triple chocolate cakes or the sara lee pound cakes... not doing that to myself anymore, though. I did give myself permission to indulge this weekend and I have. Back on track hard and fast on Monday, though. My indulgences weren't that bad this weekend either-lunch was a salad and some chicken pot pie and dinner was 5 fried chicken strips and a couple of spoonfuls of mac and cheese, 1 piece of some cheesy bread and 3/4 of a little chocolate lava cake from dominos. In the past it would have been all that stuff I ate AND all the food people brought but I resisted having any pizza or chips or brownies or banana muffins or cupcakes, or ice cream sandwiches or chinese dumplings that people had brought to the superbowl party I attended. So, all things considered, I feel like I did ok with what I ate since I gave myself permission to go off plan but didn't go on a carb bender.

The link to the Stuffing Pie is here www.genaw.com/lowcarb/stuffing_pie.html

Today
B- chicken ceaser salad, no croutons.
L- snax- 1 cheese stick, some pork rinds dipped in guacamole, pumpkin seeds
D- chicken and cabbage soup. Carb-smart ice cream bar for dessert.
Total cals 1858, net carbs 37. whoops, a little over, but not terrible i guess, considering i was basically eating all day. We didnt watch the Superbowl, we DVRd it and watched movies instead, and then zoomed thru the game to see the halftime show and some of the commercials. :-)
The soup was homemade, with chicken, cabbage, red bell pepper, celery, onion, and tomato. Sounds innocent enough, but i ate too much of it.
Yeah i definitely need to start doing some exercise again, it's been too long. Maybe this is the week i go back to the gym again.

Later gators
