Mine is from work, too.

I say enjoy it, it's awesome, I'm not into apple products but this one is amazing....posting on it right now.

Being able to take it to the gym is so cool, makes the time pass faster.

Hi all,

Back from another swim meet. Then since dd spent the night with a friend we took ds out to lunch. Went to On the Border. He managed to put away a lot of food. Then stopped by Kohl's on the way home to look for shoes, pants, jeans, etc. DH didn't find anything but ds found a new pair of Adidas shoes...... came home put in a load of laundry and tried to take a nap but the phone kept ringing.......

Misty--thanks so much for the tip on the ribbon sale!! I'll watch for it. Won't be only holiday stuff will it? I am so sorry about the promotion. That really stinks. I went off plan and I didn't have any real justification. Just didn't want to hurt a friend's daughter's feelings. I love your unusual color combos for the HOliday Cards!!!!! Soooo cute and festive!

Sue--hope you have a fabulous relaxing time away. Safe travels!

Lony--how much dairy is in hwc and butter anyway? Aren't they mostly fat?! LOL Just out of curiosity, why can't you have dairy? What is it that it does to you? Ooops! Never mind, I just read Mona's comment!! How old is your doctor btw? She eating like this? Easy to recommend something for someone but much harder to implement!! Perhaps you could ask her if she eats like this and for some pointers and specific menu tips. Also a medical referral to a dietician/nutritionist.

Mona--best of luck to wrapping your mind around getting back on before surgery. I know this routine well, whenever I would start a diet I would sabotage myself with that "I'm not going to get to eat this for a long time so I am going to eat as much as I want now" or " I have to eat all this now to get it out of the house before I start my diet", etc. Is there a chance that they will decide not to do the surgery if your weight goes back up btwn now and then?

Seth--you've been busy. Hoping all goes well for your grandmother.

Deb--So they just dropped by?! You think they need something from you? Hope that's not the case!! I know it can't make up for it but we you!! Maybe just ignore them while they are there.

Chewie--yeah, we have done the "You've been Boo'ed" thing for several years here as well. It's fun--usually! Last year my youngest was too afraid to do this in the dark even though it was her friends' houses. Seriously, she was freaked out and I had to go with her on some despite the fact that this old lady doesn't run that fast!LOL

I'm with Melinda, cabbage does work!! Yeah, the yelling and screaming does not work on my son either. WHY DON'T I REMEMBER?! We had a big todo on Thurs after school. OMG. I REALLY need another approach. I don't start off yelling but my son gets extremely defensive, rude and starts yelling back. Then I have to raise my voice to try to be heard...... UGH> Nothing really gets accomplished. He has always been the type who would "cut off his nose to spite his face" as my mom would say.

Melinda--that is FANTASTIC about the drum line!!Tell sonny boy his internet family is very happy for him and that we are all proud of his ACT score as well!!!! My goodness Melinda everything on tonight's menu at your place sounds awesome!! How do you fix your brussel sprouts?

Thanks Kcmama!!!! yeah he was pretty excited...and I am telling you arguing with my son is unreal...because he does like he is in a debate tournament...which really pisses me off..I just take the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.. trim and wash.. and either boil and toss with butter or roast in the oven, tossed with olive oil and salt.. then I drop raw bacon pieces in as well and roast on high...I love roasting my veggies like that.. it is like they become sweeter...I love Kohls...I could spend an entire day there in the bracelet dept...

Deb....I am here, cooking and slaving away in the kitchen...One of my husband's coworkers when out fishing last night and brought my husband home a lobster...like he knows what to do with it.. but anyway he just cut off the tail and he said he is going to barbecue it... he has no idea what to do with it... so I am going to cook my tri tip for 45 minutes or maybe even just a half an hour.. and he wants to finish it on the barbecue.. which no doubt will cook it till well done and dry.. but I am not going to say anything.. no biggie..

Hi all,

Lony-I am so sorry that you have to change your diet up so much. However, if it will help you feel better, I'm sure the struggle will be worth it!

Deb-It's none of my business, but sometimes, tough love works. For me, it was the reversal. My mom gave me the hardest time when I moved to Texas to be with Rob. I had a hard time finding a job and the economy at that time had started it's downward spiral. She sent me the nastiest of emails. I finally told her that she could either choose to be in my life and support my decisions or she could keep her "I told you SOs" and stay out of my life. I didn't speak to her for almost a year. Before that, she basically told me I was dead to her while in college because I bought a car without her permission. So, we didn't talk for 3 whole years. I know it hurts and it's hard, but he's making his own bed...and maybe you should let him lie in it for awhile!

KCMama-It's the regular wedding, floral and then the ribbon in the back where the fabric is. I tend to stock up. In fact, my hubby and I worked on organizing my craft room and I managed to put my ribbon together by colors in plastic bags. I have a lot. LOL

Melinda-Do you not have an Aldi or Trader Joe's? Surely you have other options beside Walmart? I've stopped buying almost everything from there except for my toiletries. Rob can get his deodorant and razors at either Costco or Sam's. I, can not. Poot.

Chewie-So sorry that you got sick. I hate that feeling. Nothing worse than having issues at both ends!

Mona-You can do it. Trust me. I've had a bazillion last suppers. I think once you get a few days down, you will do fine!

Eliza Jane-We are supposed to get down into the low 70s this week. I am so excited! Yay for actual Fall temperatures!

Seth-You make me tired just reading your exercise posts..lol Good for you. Did you get those extra pounds back off?

I've had a pretty busy Sunday. I made my chicken soup today...all 44 cups of it. Sheesh. I've also prepped my veggies for a goulash I will make for tomorrow night's dinner. I froze all the soup. It was missing something to me and until I figure it out..I am not hungry for it. Normally, I can eat a pot in a few days..with Rob's help!

Now, about the poop discussion. If you have a healthy colon and digestive system, you should "go" after every meal. I know it sounds impossible, but when I'm not eating low carb.....I do. I thought I was abnormal, but did some research and found out I'm normal in one area. Yay for poop! lol

My bs was 387 before dinner. I've been a really bad girl this weekend. Back on track this week. Got to..Got to. Got to...

I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow, but interested in finding out who actually got that promotion and then working on my resume.

Rob and I went for the last swim of the season I guess. The water was FREEZING, but I went in..and I've been cold ever since..lol

Off to make more cards. Have a good one y'all

Misty...I look at my grocery ads for 7 different markets in my area.. and whoever has the deal I go.. but man I used to be able to drop quite a few bucks there at Walfarts.. but no more..LOL On the poop.. I am lucky to go 4 times a week...I made this amazing broth by accident and I said I am not throwing it away and it's in the freezer and sometimes I take it out and cut me off some LOL....that's all alot of soup to make. no wonder you had no appetite for it...

Misty also thank you so much for the Turnip Fries.. they were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LONY!!! my dessert came out so sugar free, but it is delish...the only thing is I didn't have enough almond flour left for the bottom...so when hubs gets paid again, I am going to sneak to the Trader Joes in the mall.. cause they have the almond flour.. and I also bought some cool whip to plop on top.. I know I know whip HWC.. but it was on sale for .89 and it is sugar free..My Ricotta egg bake is plain tasting.. and I remember a recipe that Chewie posted that is kind of the same as this.. and she was going to use for her spaghetti sauce I believe, so I am going to open my jar and spoon maybe a tablespoon and then tomorrow I can make spaghetti for sonny boy tomorrow..
