Melinda---hugs. I get that way sometimes too. Although it's probably different cause you only have 1 son and I have 2.

Morning Lony, Eliza, and Chewie!

Sorry you ladies are not feeling great today! Hope you'll feel better soon. Eliza yours has been hanging on for awhile. Sure you don't need to check in with your doc?

Beautiful day here. I have done laundry and made the "bog" part of the "frog in a bog" for tonight. Trying to decide how to fix some chicken thighs. I have to run to the store in a bit as I am out of mini marshmallow for the frog's eyes! What are you all doing for dinner tonight? I may get some hot dogs and do those mummy wraps too.

DS13 has an away game tonight. Grrrrr Hard to believe they're playing on halloween. It's not that much of a biggie but he's 13 now and this would probably have been his last year going out trick or treating.
On the plus side, you won't have all that candy in the house tempting you!! My son had 15 lbs of candy last year and darling daughter had 10. That is a lot of temptation!!

It is here. I know that I saw on the news some political guy on the east coast trying to get something passed to make Halloween the same day of the week every year for trick or treating=like the Sat night before or some such since kids are up late on a school night. I say "Boo" to that. That is as much a part of the fun as anything--staying up a bit later on a school night! Please.

We usually have chili or beef stew. Used to always have a party and dinner before trick or treating. We have to go to ds13's game at 5:30 and it's about 30 minutes away so we won't be home till 7:30 or later.

That is a dumb idea. I agree with you. Although many towns had to postpone it anyway due to all the snow in the NE.

Laura congrats on the super weight loss!

Eliza and Chewie hope you feel better soon.

Sue, awesome that you got your vacation weight off. I haven't decorated or passed out candy for Halloween since I started working nights, 3 years ago. I'm asleep during prime time trick-or-treating, and I sort of feel it's "false advertising" to decorate the outside of the house and then be dark for trick-or-treat time.

Hello everybody else!

Just got another Christmas present ordered. Reebok has a big shoe sale and a 40% off code and it gives you free shipping too. I just paid $26 for a pair of men's size 12 zigs. DS13 loves these shoes. The code is CYBER40 if anyone is interested. Eliza--they carry size 14 shoes.

Yeah, mine does that too. Although today he brought me a cute jar of Harvest Pumpkin butter that has a cute leaf tag on it that says "Thank you." and I asked for what? He said for being me.

Happy Halloween. I've spent all day doing not much of anything.

I did manage to get a pumpkin pie in the oven. It isn't low carb so I won't be having any but Eden has been bugging me to make one for her.

Lani is sick so it looks like she will be missing Halloween. She has been running a fever since yesterday and hasn't even been out of bed today. My poor baby! I really hope she is feeling better by Thursday.

The other kids are all excited about Halloween this year. I will post pics of their costumes later this evening.

When I was growing up, Halloween was on Oct. 31st. When I moved to CT and took my kids out, it was on the 31st. In our area of Ohio, it wasn't always on the 31st. If it fell on a Friday, it was held on another night because of football. There was also other reasons for having it on different nights as well but can't remember. And it is only from 6pm-7pm. What?

Here, looks like we are back to normal.

Time for a nap. When I was growing up, nap was a dirty word. To my Mom it meant being lazy and wasting time while I could be doing something productive. I still get a knot in my stomach at the thought of having to take a nap. But being sick and all today, I shouldn't begrudge myself one, what do you think?

Jeese, what a neurotic human being I am ....my mother still speaks in my head!

You're welcome. New plan is going pretty well. It's challenging. Low carb foods are not the lowest calorie foods out there. LOL So I'm trying to balance and am eating more veggies---never a bad thing. Changes are that I feel better and feel less bloated even with tom just arriving so I think that is big.

LOL My mother still speaks in my head and she's been dead for 11 years now. I naps and take them as often as possible.
