Mona.. Just curious.. cause sometimes I am menu challenged... what do you do with taco meat..??? I mean I know salads and stuff....Costco is always a zoo.. even when the door opens...

LOL... I have learned that sometimes I over react when things aren't done my way. LOL Like, I don't like having the pot I cooked the food in stored in the refrigerator with the leftovers in it. Put it into a storage container and wash the pot. I may have yelled about that... lol

I use it for any type of Mexican food application. Tacos: I will use a Mama Lupe tortilla shell, fried in oil in the shape of a taco. It makes a pretty big taco though! Sometimes when I'm feeling adventurous I will make taco shells out of cheddar cheese. Then I just fill the shell with meat and lettuce and not more cheese, since the entire shell is cheese. Tostadas: fry a Mama Lupe shell flat in oil, then put a thin layer of refried beans (if you can afford the carbs) then taco meat, grated cheese, lettuce, and any other fixins you want. I like sour cream and hot sauce. Guacamole is a good topping too, as well as black olives. But I'm allergic to avocado and I hate black olives. Sometimes I will just take a scoop of taco meat and heat it up in the microwave and add grated cheese and heat a little bit more...then top with a glob of sour cream. You would have to heat on the stove since you don't have a microwave. I can't think of too many other uses for taco meat other than those. I suppose you could use it for a casserole or something. Maybe mix some in an omelet? I don't eat eggs so I don't know how that would taste. |

Thanks Mona...One day I made taco salad for my husband.. and he had the nerve to tell me is that all there is for lunch...I loved it...
OMG your a allergic to avocados?? and you hate black olives??? I like the taco shells made from cheese as well...I need to do that.... Thanks Mona for the suggestions... you know most people would eat a scoop, I am telling you I would have a jumbo pile of it.... |

Well, by a scoop I mean about a cup. Or maybe more if I'm really hungry.
 I like green olives though! But those don't go with a lot of recipes because of the brine. I'm also allergic to cashews.  |

I have to make a list and go tomorrow morning... because I have to get some medicine for my son, and creamer, paper plates etc....but I gotta go when the door first opens...
I am so happy tonight, no cook for me!!!!! a night off of cooking!!! how luxurious!!! I am just not digging the fact, I have to leave at 11pm to get sonny boy..hate crickets so much.. and it is hot today... |

 The DH has declared that it is his job to do the dishes after dinner. this is me being happy! I made him chili dogs last night. I was going to do the dishes but he insisted I "relax" because that was his job. Came home from work and the dishes are still in the sink with cold yucky chili goo all over them. I have to do the yucky dishes. Lord please don't let me stab him with a fork when he comes home. Amen! |

Lony...you know one night.. I had the plastic shopping bag with a couple of grilled ham and sandwiches and a drink for my son..the usual of what I bring him...cause as you know by the time he hops in my car it's 9:30..so that is dinner..so I step out of the house, lock the door...I kept saying to myself don't look down don't look down. so I kind of run to the car...already freaking myself out.. you can hear the cricket noises, all of a sudden the bag brushes against my leg and I yell from fright at the top of my lungs MOMMY MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
