Family Meals??

I feel like I have to try to make wonderful low carb meals for my family to truly enjoy eating low carb. If I don't they tend to want to eat out alot and it makes it really hard for me to stay focused. Any suggestions???

Most of the time when I make dinner I make a salad, some form of meat, a low carb veggie and a starch. I have two helpings of veggies and skip the starch. no one minds and I get to eat low carb.

Favorite all low carb meal that the family really likes. Grilled chicken breast covered with sauteed mushrooms, bacon and cheese. Some brocoli and a salad. You have an Alice Springs chicken (Outback Steakhouse) A fraction of the cost and you aren't tempted by their heavenly bread.

Thanks for the response. Those sounds great. I'll go over to Linda sue's website and try a few out.

I always cook a meat, a side like green beans or a salad... and then a starch for the rest of my family... its not easy sometimes... but its doable!

See if your library has a book called Saving Dinner the Lowcarb Way . It has weekly lowcarb menus that are family friendly, plus carby side dish suggestions to go along with each dish if your family wants them. It also includes shopping lists for the week.

And for what it's worth, if my family doesn't want to eat what I serve, they can make their own dinner. I've stopped trying to please everybody all the time. It never works.
